Dr. Ivan Bruce Bank

Dr Bank has done the near impossible! The best vision i've had in 30 years! He is easy to talk to and highly skilled. I've worn thick glasses since the 3rd grade so you can take this review to the bank (Ivan Bank, that is.!)

Dr Bank is a master of his craft. I fought Keratocnous for years before finding his practice with minimal success. He may be over qualified for folks who only need a quick, simple eye exam, but the man is a miracle worker for those of us who have cornea degeneration or other miserable challenges.

Dr. Bank, and his staff are outstanding. I recently had cataract surgery in Houston performed by Dr. Koch. He recommended that I look into Scleral Contact lenses to improve my overall vision. I started investigating these lenses. I had two friends that were fit with these lenses . One friend had a corneal transplant and the other had advanced vision problems. They both were fitted by Dr. Bank. I set up an appointment and Dr. Bank and his staff are true professionals with all the latest technology to precisely measure and prescribe the exact lenses. THANKS, FOR THE "EXCEPTIONAL", HIGHLY EFFICIENT SERVICE! YOU & THE REST OF YOUR CO-WORKERS HAVE PROVIDED! YOU ALL ARE HIGHLY COMPETENT & WITH "GREAT ATTITUDES" (Especially DR. BANKS & his Personal "Nurse &/or "Tech Specialist", who on my first visit, performed ALL of the "High Tech" Testing. AND On THE NEWEST, "State-Of-The-Art EQUIPMENT". She also had to "LISTEN", & did so very "APATHETICALLY"- while PERFORMING her job duties WITH GREAT EXPERTISE To my PRESENT & PAST "MALPRACTICE EXPERIENCE(S)". An "OCULAR SURGEON"- "BLINDED" my RIGHT EYE. THEN AGAIN, 6 Years later, a "CORNEAL SPECIALIST", COMPLETELY"MISDIAGNOSED",-the "germ" responsible,- for causing an Eye Infection in my Left Eye-My ONLY "GOOD EYE"-& EXACERBATED BY "NOT FOLLOWING SIMPLE, COMMON SENSE, PROTOCOL"! ESPECIALLY since It INVOLVED,- MY ONLY "GOOD EYE"- My LEFT-! WHILE HE KNEW my Right Eye is/was 'BLIND'! What resulted was an "UNTREATED", Left Eye Infection! Resulting in a SEVERE, UNTREATED, "FUNGAL" INF. & ONLY A VERY FEW DRUGS "WORK" ON "FUNGAL" INF.'S! USUALLY, the Patient becomes 'BLIND", But if "FORTUNATE", may regain "SOME" SIGHT! IF SO, They LEAVE BEHIND a "CORNEAL ULCER/SCARRING"! Which SEVERELY LIMITS your EYESIGHT! These PAST EVENTS is/are WHY I had been trying to find a "LOW VISION OPTOMETRIC SPECIALIST", for almost 3 Years. I was about to GIVE UP! I could NOT even DRIVE, had to QUIT WORKING As a PHARMACIST, "BROKE-UP" my MARRIAGE, ETC,.ETC. I IMMEDIATELY could tell that DR. BANKS, Is/Was "HIGHLY/EXPTREMELY" COMPETENT! He QUICKLY, yet EFFICIENTLY, Made a DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT CONCERNING THE LOGISTICS OF WHAT "NEEDED TO BE DONE" ETC., TO "IMPROVE" MY LEFT EYE VISION( To the "MAXIMUM " Level POSSIBLE). This REQUIRES A VERY HIGH DEGREE OF "OPTOMETRIC EXPERTISE"! DR. BANKS, in a FEW MINUTES, "FIGURED OUT", what would PROVE to be the SOLUTION! Truly REMARKABLE! HE "HYPOTHESIZED", that a NEWLY MARKETED, ADVANCEMENT, IN THE "SCLERAL LENS" ARENA, Which was UNLIKE Any "SCLERAL LENS" I had TRIED in the PAST 3 YEARS. It was a "HIGHLY SPECIALIZED", "SCLERAL" CONTACT LENS"! But what ESPECIALLY SET DR. BANKS "APART", which I OBSERVED, was that AFTER I TESTED this LENS, I had a "BIG SMILE" on MY FACE! BUT SO DID DR, BANKS! I also found him to be "AFFABLE" & HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL. BUT NOT IN A "STUFFY" SENSE, YOU COULD TALK TO HIM & HE LISTENED. AS FAR AS THE "REST OF THE STAFF". Beginning with "Ms. Cathey", the INSURANCE SPEC. She mentioned that that they have a "GREAT" INSURANCE PLAN( we have all heard something similar many times). But she was NOT "Pushy", & I got a "FEELING", "Ms. Cathey", was really trying to HELP ME.. Also, Dr. Banks, even mentioned it to me. I think "they" knew, MY PAST, & THAT I could probably use a "FINANCIAL BREAK" ETC. This Insurance is/was the BEST Vision etc. Insurance I had ever been offered/experienced. I think both of them knew that the 'SPECIALIZED CONTACT LENSES" I would need, were" VERY EXPENSIVE"! THEY WERE! $1500 for ONE lens! With this INSURANCE, I ONLY PAID,$15/Month , & a small, one time Fee of, $25. DEFINITELY the BEST INS.. I HAD EVER BOUGHT! I also want to mention, "Amy", She was friendly, professional, completely "thorough", answered ALL questions, had a great ATTITUDE, & truly EENJOYED HER JOB! THE "UP-FRONT", OFFICE WOMEN, RECEPTIONISTS, ETC. WERE ALSO GREAT. They answered all my questions, were professional, and conversed with me even, especially" BROOKLYN". I HOPE EVERYONE SEARCHING FOR AN "OVER- THE - TOP", OPTOMOTRIST SPECIALIST, AND OFFICE STAFF, TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS. "THEY" WERE NOT ONLY A "GAME CHANGER", BUT A "LIFE CHANGER" FOR ME! "THEY " ALL LEFT AN IMPRESSION ON ME, THAT EVERYONE AT "INSIGHT EYE CARE" TRULY "CARED/CARES" ABOUT ME! AT A TIME IN MY LIFE THAT I "NEEDED" THIS EXPRESSION! One of the best eye doctor ...

Dr. Bank is exceptional! I see the best I have in years...I have keratoconus and he has had me seeing great for several years now. Highly recommend if you require special assistance for your eyes

I can't say enough about the office, I walked in and was acknowledged and greeted immediately they made me feel comfortable, the assistant was very sweet and knowledgeable I didn't have to ask any questions, and Dr Lindsey Bank wow she was so pleasant she explained everything and I mean everything about my cornea disease and the options and salutations to help my vision, and the best part of the exam is she listened to the patient and was open for questions If only I could have found this office years ago.
