Dr. Irfan Khalid

Dr. Irfan Khalid is an excellent doctor. He actually listens to what you say and responds. His staff are caring and welcoming. I am so happy with my experience there. Thank you

Dr. Irfan Khalid refused to listen to me, spoke over me very deliberately, then yelled at me and rushed me out the door without my papers after I accidentally bruised his ego. In retrospect he was kind of ableist too. I initially attributed our communication issues to the fact that I am Autistic and have ADHD and may accidentally interrupt or say something inappropriate without meaning to, but when I broached the topic he told me he doesn't treat mental health issues or something to that effect. I was asking for understanding and grace. Autistic people get obstructive sleep apnea too. It was heartening to see it was not just me who had received such treatment.

I have severe sleep apnea and went to Dr. Irfan Khalid to go over the results of my sleep study. Long story short, he had an easily bruised ego, was a poor listener, and seemed to be almost purposefully not letting me speak by talking over me. Eventually he got mad at me and yelled angrily and wound up rushing me out without even handing me the paperwork with my test results that he was supposed to go over with me. I feel vindicated seeing half the reviews here sharing similar experiences, and I'm delighted to be the one tipping the scales. Clearly they have no business practicing medicine. One of the office ladies was just as rude as the doctor, practically had me feeling deja vu, though I don't know her name. One of the other reviews complained about someone named Patty. If I get her again, I'm going to ask if a Patty works there and if she says "That's me." I'm going to laugh and say "That makes sense." and ask to speak to the other. I've been seeing Dr. Khalid for about 4 years now. He is friendly and spends time with you. He listens to your questions and answers them. I have sleep apnea and Dr. K has prescribed a CPAP machine for me. Before that I could hardly sleep at night. I would labor to breath, snore loudly, choke and frequently wake up. Dr Khalid was informative, timely, and great staff

Absolutely fantastic MD. No waiting he saw me a few minutes early as I showed up 1/2 hour early. Love his amazing staff they all made me feel very comfortable. He researched my entire file and was immediately up to speed on my issue. Highly reccomended

Dr. Khalid was extremely knowledgeable and experienced with my pulmonary condition. He was a very good listener, explained treatment options in language I understood and patiently answered my questions. He instills confidence and I am glad he will be my pulmonologist.

I had an excellent experience. Dr Khalid spent plenty of time with me. He and all the staff were very pleasant to deal with. I saw the doctor within a few minutes of the scheduled time.

Waited 50 minutes, no apology from doctor. Found him to be quite rude and full of himself. He definitely doesn’t understand how to treat patients with any sort of respect. Not going back.

Definitely the worst experience I've ever had at a doctors office. The lady that works the front desk, Patty, was pretty rude. Every time I called to make an appointment, confirm an appointment, ask a question or anything I felt like I was inconveniencing her. Since I only had to go once every 3 months I let that slide. Then Dr. Khalid accused me of something that I didn't do because he didn't understand how to do his job. I got a new doctor, told him what happened and he instantly confirmed that the Dr. Khalid was WRONG in what he accused of doing and explained why. Prior to getting my new doctor I looked up what Dr. Khalid accused me of doing so when my new doctor confirmed that I was correct I felt vindicated especially since I never told me new doctor what I found online. I've never had a doctor be so rude. I almost forgot he potentially violated HIPAA by speaking to the front desk staff about my situation so loudly that anyone within 20 feet could hear. Covid management questionable

Ten years ago I went to the emergency having severe trouble breathing, Khalid vented me for 7ish days. When I emerged from the coma, I said could I have Legionella Dr. said it didn't exist. One year later again trouble breathing Dr K put me in an 11 day coma this time paralyzing my body. Upon awaking from the coma I asked could I have Valley fever, he asked me if I was now a doctor. Four months later I find out I have full blown valley fever with nodules in lungs and antigens for legionella, I had them both. Each time he was telling my husband I had end stage emphysema and it would be best to let me go. My lungs are in bad shape from his ego.

I waited 45 minutes with no updates from his lazy staff only to leave with the Dr. himself wise cracking me on the way out. The worst medical experience ever.

Any questions I asked feels a threat to him, how do I dare ask him, he keeps repeating “ I’m the doctor here and know , you are not”. Non- companionate , non- caring, rude and arrogant and very disrespectful. Keep away from him.

I took my mother (89 yrs old) to see him after her doctor recommended a sleep study. She has trouble falling asleep and has bad nightmares. Our first visit was ok, He kept on insisting that if you only sleep 3 hrs a night it's fine because your body will fall asleep when it needs to. I was skeptical. She had the sleep study done. It was quite an ordeal for her. All the wires, can't turn, probes stuck to her head, arms and in her nose. She was a trouper and got through it. We waited over a month to get an appointment for a review of the test. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. We waited 40 minutes for him to enter room. He went to his computer and started reading results. He then told my Mom she did great, she was able to sleep 3 hrs! We were both a little surprised how 3 out of 7 hrs is good. My mom said she was very uncomfortable and could not get any sleep. He insisted she DID sleep. I then said, 'Wait. Let me get this straight, you are only going to base this on one test'. He turned ugly. He said, Yes! Do you have a question? Yes, I said, I'm trying to figure.. He wouldn't let me finish. He: You're not asking a question! Me: I'm trying to, why are you getting so upset? He: because you are not asking anything! Me: well maybe you can come up with a question for me. He: I don't want to talk to you! Me: Why are you so defensive. We just want to know more facts. Fine don't talk to me, talk to my Mom. He: No, I won't talk to her. GET OUT! WHAT!!!!????? is this guy so insecure about his aptitude he can't answer a question. I then said I wanted a copy of test results. He told I can get the copy up front. I was furious. I went into the waiting area and said, Is this guy crazy, you can't question him! The ladies up front were very courteous and very quiet. Khalid tossed our paper over to them and said , NO Charge! No kidding no charge. The lady then handed me the copy and I thanked her. I feel for those ladies. I will make it my mission to make sure people are warned of this 'doctor'. Negative stars.. Rude, Arrogant, entitled, poorly educated on topics (see other reviews), and obviously protected by the medical community. What a shame we have doctors like this allowed to practice. It is also obvious some of his patients have been misdiagnosed which could have lead to their demise. This Doctor is exceptional!! I took my father to him and he was kind, compassionate, and really got to the bottom of issue and treatment. I can’t imagine anyone having a bad experience with this physician. Greatly appreciate all him and his staff!!

Condencinding and poor listening skills.

Dr Khalid put me in a 7 day coma, when I came out of it I asked him could I have Legionella, he said that doesn't even exist, do you think your a doctor ( I had legionella) One year later I was admitted through emergency at Thompson Peak. Dr Khalid put me in an 11 day coma he paralized me. When I recovered I asked could I have Valley fever, he asked where I got my medical degree, I had full blown Valley Fever complete with well formed noduals in the lungs. He is very smug and non caring I'm just lucky to be alive.

I completely agree with the latest low ratings by others. Dr. Khalid was rude and arrogant. But more seriously he did not give an accurate diagnosis..He did not review the lung X-rays or reports with me. He said no use telling you anything because you wouldn't understand it. I don't believe he even looked at my test results. I Wasted valuable time trying to get medical help from him. Now I have another pulmonary Doctor and realize even more how poorly I was diagnosed and treated..
