Dr. Ira Harold Weiss

Lacks communication and prematurely removes braces off children without parent's knowledge. Leaving unfinished and undesirable results. Staff friendliness went down the tubes over the years. Another con is they refuse to let you go back to the chair with your child.

I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Drs. Weiss and Tor and the entire staff. I would like to comment on the one star review. Dr. Weiss estimated my son would wear his braces for about 2 years. Ended up his teeth were a little more stubborn than we anticipated and it took a lot longer than 2 years to get his teeth perfect. Dr. Weiss and Dr. Tor evaluated him each visit and adjust his bands and took the let's wait and see with our fingers crossed approach. His teeth finally did move and the end results are perfect. We were never charged extra for this extension of time and honestly, I'm glad we were with someone who wanted to keep the braces on until the results that we wanted we're achieved, rather than have someone take them off just because they were on for a certain amount of time. Dr. Weiss worked on both of my children. Not only did I find him to be a kind and caring professional, but he is tops in his craft. The finished product of his work, my children's teeth, was remarkable. The best part is that he followed up with continuing care. He did not take off their braces and say goodbye. I feel so blessed to have found a health professional who takes a real interest in his patients.

These people are nice dont get me wrong, but after having braces on for 4 years im a little pissed off... everytime i go there i do exactly what they said, they told me at the beginning 2 years if i do everything like they say, well its been 4 after doing everything they said, i didnt break any braces or anything only thing was when they broke a brace of my mouth... next thing you know i ask them how long till i get them off, they said i dont know.. well very helpfull can i get an estimate or something, ya about 6 months if you do everything we say, wear your rubber bands as much as possible, and dont break any braces.. well i said alright 6 months goes by i tell them i want my braces off, they said alright we just need a parent to allow that i go yep alright, got my dad.. next thing you know they go well alright if you hang in there with us for 2 visits maybe 3 than you will have them off, well i told them alright... did everything they have asked of me and now its going into the fourth visit and i think i would like them off... dont trust them alls they will do is milk your insurance till they stop paying them and than your braces will be off. Im very upset about this and this is very wrong for them to do... I got my braces through Dr. Weiss. They were taken off 4 years ago. I still wear my retainers and my teeth still look amazing. He was very kind and understanding. He's great with children/teenagers! I would recommend him to everybody.
