Worst experience of my life!!!! I had so much hope and waited months for my appointment only to be treated like I was a drug addict by this man and so called doctor. The first thing out of his mouth was, I'm not giving you narcotics and even if I did give out narcotics I wouldn't give them to you because you have bipolar. I was so flabbergasted. I have never even so much as smoked a cigarette let alone do drugs. I don't even like taking medications but I was needing help to deal with my chronic pain from TN, OA and fibromyalgia. He looked at my records and acted as though I had never even been diagnosed with those conditions. He had his mind made up about me before he even walked through the door. He had zero compassion. This man is clearly in the wrong field of work!!! Nasty!!!

I’ve been seeing Dr Chatman for a number of years. He has met and exceeded my expectations for a doctor. My pain is controlled and I am functional and able to work at an extremely demanding job.

Dr Chatman is likely the best M.D. in the entire area and one of the best in his field nationwide. His PA Hillary Potter is the 2nd best and she's a PA.... EXCELLENT DOCTORING! Staff has a few jaded/tainted individuals (mainly at reception), but out shadowed by the rest. Dr Chatman is likely the best M.D. in the entire area and one of the best in his field nationwide. In all honesty, I was super nervous to go to my first appointment. I had never been to pain management at all. I was referred to them by my spine clinic, I had ACDF surgery last year, because I have an irritated nerve in my neck from a bad fall. So I got sent a new patient packet in the mail that was kind of...intimidating. I was confused on some of the questions just because I was not on any pain medicine other than over the counter ibuprofen. I did the best I could and went. It was an AWESOME experience! They were short staffed and the wait was a little long, but I did not mind in the least, and Dr. Chatman may not have been in the room very long, but he was kind and straightforward and helpful! I prefer not to take narcotics and he got me set up on alternative pain management. They had applied to my insurance for authorization on neck injections before my app but they were denied. At this visit, Dr. Chatman and a nurse reassured me they would take care of it, and reapllied.

My first and only visit with this man was horrible. He had already made up his mind not to see me as a patient before I got there , as I figured is the reason they never ask for my bottles Of meds to count. But of course took me back to get the money for an office visit and urine test. All planned out!!! Then had the audacity to lecture me on my meds that was none of his business, I was there to only get a prescription for my pain meds, nothing else. I have several auto immune diseases plus had major back surgery scheduled. Was not there to hear his opinion on why I take what I do for my various conditions as he will not be seeing me for any of them . After letting him rattle and suggesting to come back in two months, if I agree to DROP my other meds then he had no problem giving my pain meds, I walked out of the office!! This man thinks he is god I guess. Very bad decision on my part even going there. I’d heard all he wants to do is injections. None here! Bad bad bedside manners. Pam

Respectful compassionate and knowledgeable. This doctor isn't pushing anything his only agenda seems to be helping his patients. The office was clean, staff courteous, wait time minimal. I was treated as a individual not a number. I'm feeling blessed to have found this doctor.

I have been being seen by Dr. Chatman now for almost a year. He has been a blessing in my life. He is very intelligent, professional and kind. He does care about what I have to say and always answers any questions I have. His staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The nurses in the procedure area have been a blessing to me as well. I am very proud I have him as my care provider. I would definitely recommend him to others. I have been being seen by Dr. Chatman now for almost a year. He has been a blessing in my life. I have see Dr Chapman in the past and the first visit I saw him, I cried because I was so embarrassed, I had been working out of state and decided to just stop my pain meds, I had withdraws because I had went cold turkey and I was not on the right kind. He assured me I was not addicted I was dependent. I now can control my pain with out OxyContin, gluten free diet helped. I told my sister make sure to ask for him. How can anyone say anything bad about him or his RNP

this man has no compassion or understanding of the medications needed to control chronic pain. my wife has had three cervical spine fusions, and now suffers from stenosis in c2 & c3. she is 59 years old, and no neurosurgeon will do another surgery to relieve the pain from this stenosis. at her visit to this man she had questions about the medications he was going to write & instead of answers he told her 3 times to shut up. I would not send an animal to him for any treatment.

Dr Chatman is a compassionate and involved physician. His patients are people, not numbers. What many don't understand is, what he or any doctor is allowed to do re pain meds is carefully monitored and controlled by government, RX laws and the state. Dr. Chatman really has the patients best interest at heart. With opioids being frontline in media coverage, every doctor has to follow the law to the very letter. There are protocols in medicine that must be adhered to. He has my full trust.

Dr Chatman is a caring and compassionate physician. His bedside manner is exceptional. To spite a heavy patient load, he'll find the time to be sure he has answered your questions and addressed your concerns. He does far more than write RX's and perform procedures. If he sees a problem out of his area of practice, he will not hesitate to refer you to the proper doctor or area of treatment. I sincerely feel that he cares about his patients overall well being. An excellent Dr, I highly recommend.

Horrible! Not a pain doctor! I was in an accident, have broken bones and nerve damage and he gave me enough pain meds for two weeks, made an appointment for follow up after specialist appt. Says I have to suffer for the two weeks to get meds. Then gave me a script that I can't refill for another week. Says I can't take anything again until then. Can't turn off pain every two weeks until he is good and ready to prescribe. Ridiculous.
