Dr. Imad M Nakshabendi

I didn't get to see him before or after surgery, just a nurse practioner who only read the report out loud to me but could answer no questions. I had to take the report to my primary to go over it with me. I was refused an appointment with him several times and finally gave up and changed doctors to one who would actually see me and explain to me what was going.

I had a teledoc appointment with the doctor to tell me my results. They called me saying that it is a doctor visit and I didn’t show. I told her it is teledoc and she started being rude to me. I asked her to send my results to my primary doctor since I don’t want to interact with rude and imprecise staff

I could not rate the physician's performance because of the poor office staff and communication systems. To begin with, a procedure was scheduled without checking with me, and I had two physician appointments already scheduled for that day. After trying to contact the office by phone and patient portal with no response, I had to drive to the office to cancel my appointment. I have been trying to reschedule the appointment without any luck. Therefore, I am requesting a new physician.

Don't see this Dr.!His office manager and staff think its OK to play God cancelling and refusing appointments at their discretion. "your not allowed to see the Dr. I'm cancelling you appointment. Because your colonoscopy was prescribed by another Dr. It doesn't matter that he referred you to this office. Rescheduled, confirmed and cancelled again without a phone call 2 days before. Fully aware bleeding internally for 2 months. "Sorry that your bleeding but you cannot see the Dr. your appointment is cancelled." Seeing that this is common in the history of reviews if the Dr. is unaware how his patients are treated and what takes place in his office he obviously cannot be a very good Dr.

Worst experience of my life. Went I. On 08/30/2021 for an EDG ended up later on in the ER in the worst pain ever. Please don’t use this Dr. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00am of course I had to fast for 12 hours. Didn’t get called back to a room until 12:50. It only got worse from there. The nurses couldn’t get an I.V in me and stuck me 7 times. Hit a nerve and I was screaming in pain I’ve never in my life experienced that before. Something told me to run while I had the chance. Waiting on an X-ray now.

Horrible customer service! They book the appointment for a Doctor for a month in advance and then a nurse practitioner shows up to see you! In every other clinic they let you know beforehand that a nurse practitioner will be seeing you and not the doctor himself!! When you demand to see the doctor and ask the fee to be adjusted to that visit, they agree and when ypu show up they ask for a fee again!! They don't let you see the doctor to complain either. Horrible experience, never going back there again!

On June 3rd I was scheduled for a colonoscopy at the Brandon Surgery Center. A new and very beautiful and fully staffed Center. 1) No one ever contacted me to provide a time to arrive. 2) I called to ask and also inform them that I didn't feel as though I was "cleaned out" by the preparation. She had to call me back to tell me to take two fleets and let her know. 3) Told me to just come in. 4) Everything went smoothly to the point that the procedure was complete and they called my daughter to pick me up and as I was leaving they told me that someone would call me to schedule a follow-up. 5) TWO WEEKS later I called them to ask why no one had contacted me? She said she would have to look into it but she never called me back. I called a week later when I was told my PCP, REQUIRES that I follow up with his office first! He had NOTHING to do with the procedure or the scheduling of it! 6) When I asked Dr. Nakshabendi's staff they said "oops sorry"! I hate to think if I had Cancer!

Easy in, easy out. All straight forward.

My Dr told me to have my colonoscopy with the Dr, he said I didn’t need to see him in the office. The office would send me instructions, do the prep, make an appointment. The Dr does the test and never talks to you. It was fine with me. I got the test over with and got my negative results.

Dr. Nakshabendi is great with colonoscopies and endoscopies but there is a disconnect with the patients. I never got to meet him or see him until the day of the procedure. His PAs are who you see everytime I went to the office.

Never at clinic, just runs a colonoscopy mill staffed by untrained and incompetent PA's and NP's. Avoid at all costs, especially if given a referral to GI.

Staff was great. Answered all my questions

My recent appointment with Dr. Karim was positive, Following my appt, my phone conversation with most kind and helpful Saphia was amazingly encouraging for which I was truly appreciative.

This office is usually great. But long story short my appointment got canceled and they claim that I did that. But I was at work on that date and didn’t answer or make personal calls at the time they say they talked to me. Just to make sure I wasn’t crazy I even checked my phone calls. No incoming calls or outgoing calls from either place. They claim this documentation came from the surgery center. But when I called the surgery center they explained that they do not usually do the scheduling and that the schedules come from the doctors. Either way, somebody messed up and didn’t do their job and faked in the notes that I called and canceled and screwed me over big time!

After receiving conflicting information from the nurse practitioner reviewing the procedure results, I called to make a second appointment to see the doctor to clarify some concerns and was told he was too busy doing procedures and again would only be able to see a nurse practitioner. When I asked to clarify that basically I wouldn’t be able to see the dr at all????, I was treated very rudely as if I was asking the most ridiculous questions in the world. This is unacceptable and makes you feel like a money cow.

I only wished I had seen the recent reviews that confirm the same things and would have saved a headache. Now, I’ve sent all the results to the primary care doctor who agreed to help look them over which is ridiculous considering how much money was paid for to see the mysterious “specialist” Dr.Nakshabendi. His name is everywhere but you never see him. Best magic trick I’ve ever seen played on my wallet!

I don’t recommend this doctor . My son went to this doctor and he failed us in proper medical testing . We found out later had he done a colonoscopy we could have found out cancer had started . I had to demand an exam and then they never called us . Awful !!

He has been my doctor for years. This last time his associate changed my prescriptions as I had been on both for 1.5 years and that was way longer than recommended. The pharmacy was unable to fill one of my prescriptions about a month ago as medicine no longer available. After 4 calls asking for different prescription, the nurse said if the pharmacy does not have there is nothing we can do so just do without. I am changing doctors after almost 10 years.

Had a colonoscopy with Dr. Nakshabendi in late July 2020. Had another colonoscopy 3 years ago with different practice. No problems, but a little far away to travel. This time, with this doc, spent day beforehand throwing up the NuNytely since they didn't bother to ask or check my medical chart to see that I have a blood mineral imbalance that means I shouldn't take that particular med. I had 1 polyp this time and spent the next 24 hours bleeding. Three years ago, had 5 polyps but no bleeding. Now getting bills from out-of-network providers (pathologist), and worst of all, want to find out if polyp malignant, but office staff won't give me the results unless I book an in-person appointment or use their TelaDoc app. They refused to book an over-the-phone-only appointment. Seem more concerned about making as much money as possible than taking good care of patients. (I should note that his bill for the colonoscopy hit my insurance site within 24 hours of the procedure.)

Dr Kareem has helped me a great deal with my CIC allowing me to try different medications to find the most efficacious. Medications are expensive and with Nour and Lizette's help and guidance on paperwork, the results were amazingly helpful. I would highly recommend Dr Kareem and his staff.

Simple day procedure and almost a month later still in horrible pain. Already have been in emergency room and admitted and out. Do I get a call back? Nope!! His office staff takes messages that he says he either doesn’t get or they are not given to him accurately . Messages are not returned even when in the hospital for over a week. I was told for over a week and a half he never ever ever sets foot in Tampa General by his staff only to find out from other GI specialists he did and does. Which he confirmed. So sad when you are feeling bad, are disabled, have had strokes and need to be at TGH for those strokes and then girls answering phones have no empathy and make you feel worse and give you no help with getting a call returned, staff lying, arguing and leaving the patient no where to go and a doctor who cannot be reached in procedures all day every day (at TGH too! Despite what his office says ) I cannot crack the code on how to communicate here.

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME....unless you want to be in dimly lit, overcrowded waiting room, with inexperienced office staff----all to see a "doctor" that has his gastro practice listed as "Nutrition of Tampa Bay, LLC"....or something completely wacked as that. All kidding aside....I was 1st in the office for my visit; only to have 6 or 7 patients show up as I'm completing paperwork. Which PUT ME LAST IN TO SEE THE DOCTOR! Wasn't even the doctor whose name is on the insurance referral!!!! And office is 40 miles out from me in far east Brandon. And his office brags about his hospital privileges at Tampa Gen'l. Which isn't my hospital of choice. Just saying. Left after staff informed me of long wait and fact I disagreed with office policy for $45 cancellation charge for $10 co-pay. All in all.....I REALLY DON'T WANT THIS PERSON to conduct an ediscopy and colonoscopy on me at some substandard facility. READ THE REVIEWS---then save yourself a long wasted drive to Brandon.

I had four appointments with this doctor's office. My second, third and forth visit I was seen by ARPN-C Scott who was extremely attentive, patient and very detailed. I'm so grateful for the care she provided. The front office staff were also very welcoming. Thank you all the service provided.

Dr Nakshabendi gave me a colonoscopy at the Tampa General Brandon Mediplex. He discussed the procedure with me before the procedure and gave me the results when I recovered. He took his time to make sure I understood everything!

I scheduled for consultation with Dr. Nakhabendi but someone else was there. He just spoke to me without any check up but advised for colonoscopy. I scheduled for the procedure and wanted to check that the service providers like surgery center, anesthesiologist are in the network of my insurance. The office staff was not at all helpful to provide any information. I felt they are irresponsible and do not have any kind of service attitude. I recommend avoiding this doctor.

Wasted my time and money. Never saw doctor, so many people waiting that you can't even sit down. Wanted me to wait 2 months to have tests done. That is not acceptable. I recommend avoiding this doctor/practice.

Had hemmoroids for years and his CRH treatment worked wonders. Still pain free 1 year later. Tried all kinds of treatment including ultroid and this worked wonders. Highly recommend.

A professional and caring GI Doctor that I have come across. Dr. Nakshabendi is an excellent gastroentrologist/ Specialist. He is easy to communicate and knowledgeable with my stomach issues. Staffs have always been available, friendly and very helpful. I have recommended several friends to his practice.

My wife was scheduled for a colonoscopy on a Monday. Around 10:30pm she became tired and weak. At 12:30pm she nearly passed out. Checked her blood pressure and it was 64/48. VERY Dangerous! I called the service to contact Dr Nakshabendi and see if there was something I should do to bring her pressure back up so she could still make the appointment. He never called me back. So I started giving her fluids and called in the morning to cancel the appointment. Stay away from this Dr. Worst ever!

Was only with me like 5 minutes, brings in the room with him 2 other people, feels on my abdomen, he asks if this hurts, I said yes, he notices a stretch mark on me and announces to everyone in the room what is this stretch marks?..never really diagnoses me, then precribes me a antipyscotic drug, which as soon as I got home and figured out what it was, I didnt even consider picking up from the pharmacy. Dont waste your time or money.
