Dr. Ifteqar Syed

Very very good Doctor. I've been suffering for over 12 years. Finally got lucky by getting referred to Dr. Syed. Since I've been seeing him my pain lvl has went down tremendously. He has helped lower my A1C from being Diabetic. He has helped me lose weight. He has also helped me with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I highly recommend him to anyone!

Acupuncture laser therapy has help me with my pain level rightly went from 8 to 9 to a 4 With just three treatments. He has an excellent bedside manner very caring has been the only pain management physician That has helped me.

Just a ex-patient trying my best to return to this office for DrSyed care,it is very hard to find pain management in Texas or any state now because of opiate addiction but i don't think we should have to be in pain everyday because of those that have abused meds.i have nothing bad to say abt Dr.Syed or his great staff.They stay on top of records rigidly as state mandates,i just hope he doesn't retire or change his practice ever.He is perfect caring doctor who i admire. Great pain specialist.If you're just looking for pills this is not the place to go.

Horrible place. This so called doctor does not do any test to form his own opinion. He just assumes your condition I give him years of medical records and his opinion is the complete opposite of multiple better doctors not medicade doctors like him. He even has the opposite opinion of the doctor who referred me to him because he is the only pain management doctor who accepts medicade. This is what government controlled medical gets you two to three hour waits in a packed office being run through like cattle. Prime example of why Medicare for all is a horrible idea. Doc its James Moss. You denied taking me back as a return patient. Only reason I stopped is I lost my insurance. Now I'm on SSI and have it. I've been eating 10-15 ibuprofen 8-10 times a day. I never failed a drug test, missed an appointment, & always brought my bottles. Hell even Chelsy liked me. Well I've screed my kidneys up and they took me off the Diclofenac you put me on and I went from a pain level of 8 on a fabulous day to 25. Good work doc thanks for your help. I never had a complaint with you or the staff. But now the ASPCA wouldn't let an animal suffer like this. But a man I guess it don't matter. I have a referral in to a doctor in Longview. Doc is a good guy! He is concerned about my pain , and what causes it! The staff is thorough but attentive they are by the letter, but understandable in todays world! I have talks with doc about what has happened to cause my pain, he listens and gives his input and is very honest! Thanks to everyone there that help me ! Primarily I see Dr Syed on Mondays @ 701 W 14th St, Texarkana, Texas to accommodate patients here but have also been to his main office in Paris, Texas. There are few pain doctors available. Thus, Dr Syed & staff see untold numbers of patients on daily basis. That is stress enough. Plus, each patient is irritable & uncomfortable due to pain. Given the above, I've experienced good rapport with Dr Syed & staff. And, anytime I've had questions, Dr Syed pauses, may even take a seat, to thoughtfully discuss my situation. Last, pain doctors have come under intense scrutiny as to meds prescribed. Many have had med license suspended or, worse yet, barred forever, including criminal prosecution. So, I don't believe Dr Syed & staff randomly pick on patients about meds, as some reviews imply. It is a new reality to be tested & to be treated conservatively until circumstances might dictate other measures. Wish there was a zero option for stars. I do not have insurance and have been paying cash for all of my visits. Today is my third and final visit. I pay cash every visit and this dr only gives me the same things my dr has. When you have a referral for a pain management dr from your regular dr because her hands are tied you expect help from the pain management dr, right? Wrong! Not here. Other than injections, that I can’t afford until my disability comes through, (which he isn’t helping with either), unless you are dying with cancer according to him you’re not allowed to have anything stronger Volteren and Fioricet (which is for headaches not SI joint dysfunction or Degenerate Disc Disease). He did however give me Talwin once a day which cost me $100 and once a day isn’t exactly enough, and price wise I cannot afford more than once a day. Not even really that! I literally just walked out of there in tears after Dr. Syed down-played every report, every image and everything I said. Like I said third and final visit. After he told my my hips are so twisted because I had kids!!?? Really?? Um not very professional and his moral obligation as a doctor for pain lies only with kickbacks, expensive medications and money generating. Talwin is an opiate however it has naloxacam (sp ?) to keep the high away and deters abuse. That would be fine if it wasn’t so expensive. Next lyrica. I was taking that when I came to him and told him of some side effects and he told me not to use it anymore. Now he wants to put me back on it. Not Gabapenitn but another high dollar medicine that’s $200 am month. He doesn’t listen to patients and you sit there forever! They are rude and the lady is right the nurse runs it charged me when all my insurance people said that i should not be paying. They waited until i payed them off then said that I tested positive for hydrocodone. Witch i definitely have not had I guess the insurance lady the medicare was messing her scheme up. The lady test me for the first time since the one time when I first started coming there . I don't want my name out there like this. I asked for help but not just meds. I told him no more than i asked for only Tylenol 3's he gave me 2 a day . I see im not the only one. I'm getting a lawyer. If anyone that wants to join me let me know. Friendly staff. Little bit of a wait time but thats expected with as many patients.

No frills, to the point, great guy. He does what he's meant to do, is respectable and hears what is said to him. Willing to answer questions, explains when necessary and I love him. He doesn't waste my time and I really appreciate him.

I wish that I didn't even have to leave a star to write this. Dr.Syed is an alright doctor. But, his stuff and his nurse are the ones that are making the decisions by the end of the day. And he allows it. They are rude, and unprofessional, and that is coming from pages of their own medical books. His nurse decides who comes and goes, and if she don't want u there she will make sure that your cut, by any means necessary. LEGAL OR ILLEGAL. The dr. had put me on a butrans patch for the greatest time that I was there. Butrans can show up as other meditations types such as suboxone or subutex, something like that. I really do not know much about those types of medications. But, they had changed me from butrans to embeda, a pill. Before, they change my medication the nurse, or overlord of the office, made me take two separate urination tests, on the same day..saying that my urine was to light. (Yea, because, I didn't have a UTI or kidney infection, for once) At the time, I would have had butrans or whatever other forms (that it shows up as) of it in my system. Only one urine sample was sent in. The following month I DIDN'T have to take another urine test, because I was starting this other meditations(Supposedly). I thought that everything was fine, she treated me nice, the office was nice to me. It finally felt as though I was getting through. Was gonna start injections. Everything going ok, so I thought. Before, my last appointment, the nurse calls to tell me that my urine test come back bad, had suboxone in it or something. She told me that a drug that, I don't even know about, came up in a test, that I didnt even take.. so, just to let everyone know, if you go to this dr. be careful and watch your back. BECAUSE, when they want you out the stuff will go through whatever it takes to make it happen. BUT, if you want to pay for a really expensive hair folic.test then they might keep you on their schedule. But, for me, no thank u. I'm a disabled mother of two boys. I'm sick 85% of the time, because of my disabilities, and I have insurance. One that paid $364. every urine test, and their office will not help with getting the hair test approved..NO THANK YOU. I have found Dr. Syed to be extremely knowledgable and concerned about not just my pain but my overall health, I've been seeing him for several years and have never once had a complaint. His staff is very personable and helpful. I would recommend this doctor to anyone with genuine pain but not to your pain medication seeker. He is very professional and caring, if you have genuine pain he will work with you until he finds the right med or med combination to elevate your suffering.

Dr Syed is a direct and professional Dr. If you are pill seeking go elsewhere because he will find you out. I was medically retired from the army because of injuries from Iraq. I had been walking with assistance devices for 4 years. The va had already told me I was likely to always need them. Within 6 months Dr Syed had changed my life and I was walking on my own for the first time since Iraq. The pain is still present but is managed. I still have limitations but my quality of life is good

Tried to tell him every month that the pills weren't working and the patch I'd been on for 9 years worked well, but since the patch leaves your system so fast you can't accurately test for it so he put me on methadone so he could UA me and I failed for pot. Because IT helped with the breakthrough pain and he wouldn't give me anything else for the breakthrough pain, only muscle relaxers and my pain is in my bones due to being born 3 months early and contracting MRSA in the NICU and before they noticed it spread to my bones causing osteomyelitis, layman's terms the infected spread to my bones. And instead of titratrating me off of them for failing 1 UA in 2 years, he cut me off and refuses to give me a referral for another pain management dr and I run out of medicine tomorrow. And alcohol and opiate withdrawals are the only withdrawals that can actually kill you. Meth can make feel like you're dying and make you want to die to end it, but they won't kill you. So, when I go into withdrawals and start having more and more seizures and become a vegetable or die, my old man, mom, son and grandma are going to sue the damn pants off of him. So i drive 2 hours to come to this doctor. Today my mother had a heart attack i ask very politely if i can get in and out so i can get to the hospital to see her. The girls response is why are u here then shouldnt u be there? I literally just pulled in when i got the call you would think they would have some kind of compassion, but no they don't . All they care about is money and running people through like cattle. They are rude and dont care about you one bit. After a little trial and error, we finally found some medication that works. He's a good Dr who doesn't mind explaining something to you if you don't understand and ask him to explain. The Receptionist on the other hand needs some customer skills.

I have been going to differant speacialist for years, I have just recentally moved back home to Lamar County. Dr. Syed was refered to me as a pain Dr., I've only seen him twice so far but so far I have had no issues in his treatment or plans for future treatment. I think to many people expect Doctors in general to just prescribe them narcotics and when they don't there rated by that person as a bad Dr.. from my experiance with Dr. Syed he evaluates each case, problem and severaty and individual to determan his treatment for that person. I have never been spoken to with disrespect ever. Always professional and personable. When my insurance lapsed, they gave me enough Medication to make it til the next week when I could pay cash. I've never spent more than an hour there. They have always worked with me, and Dr. Sayed himself stays on top of everything going on with my health and communicates with my other physicians for the best plan of care. I have nothing but the best to say for the entire team. As long as you are honest, patient and willing to trust his judgement I believe it is the best care for me personally and those looking for long term care, not a long term medication provider. I would NEVER refer family/friend to him. He's walked into the room with someone else's chart and argued with me about it not being mine! Doesn't listen, doesn't care, and has reverted to options that he's already tried that don't work. Staff doesn't want to be there. Amber should be in another job, she clearly hates her's. They don't answer the phone, don't return messages, don't submit perscriptions timely-for pain meds-then deny it. Wouldn't go if I had a choice. Insurance dictates.

I call and tell them about a family member being an addict. This person had three pills left when they should have had 26 of dilauded. They instead of correcting the situation they have given said person extended release. These in turn will be gone fairly quick.. This place should be shut down if they don't listen to family who is letting them know

Poor customer service from staff. 1. Appointment times over a month out 2. Staff unwilling to process paperwork in timely manner 3. After dragging their feet and asking for explanation of process, staff stated they will just cancel my referral This was very unprofessional and disheartening expierence to a family member of an Active Duty Soldier just moving into town.

Dr. Zyed's level of treatment was very poor. He does not take the time to discuss or listen to my problems or concerns. I tried to explain what problems I was having & refused to give me proper medications. Instead he gave me Rxs for meds that worsened my problems and told me that his job is Not to eliminate my pain but to make it tolerable. That statement confirmed my thought that this wasn't the doctor for me.

Dr. Syed has helped me to be able to lead a productive and near normal life now. I was not able to walk good without help, I have neuropathy and lower back pain that has had me feeling like my limbs were on fire 24/7. With Dr Syed's help I am now able to care for myself. I would recommend him in a heart beat. The staff has alot to be desired but he c an take care of that.....hopefully soon.

Literally takes weeks to get the simplest of paperwork done. No one answers the phone and when they do they're not courteous. I'm not happy with my experience. they have no website no way to leave them a message.

It's ESI INJECTION NOT NARCOTICS. They lost my referral. I don't have to see the doctor to know the state of incompetence at this place. Please, do not trust your healthcare to a place that can't keep up with your private health information. Dr. Sandhu called me personally to tell me she sent my referral. Dr. Syed's office called me the following day to tell me they received the referral. A week later some woman on the phone tells me it didn't happen. REALLY???? Lady, don't imply I'm lying.

DR SYED IS AWESOME TO ME. I WAS 53 YEARS OLD WHEN I FIRST STARTED SEEING HIM, I COULDN'T EVEN WALK WITHOUT A CANE OR WALKER. HE GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK. NOW I CAN WALK AND HOLD DOWN 2 JOBS. YEAH, HE'S AWESOME, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE I KNOW OR MEET.

He's not a listening and addressing kind of doctor. You can't feel comfortable even talking to him because he doesn't address your issues. He spends 5 mins with you and the other hr and a half you paid him to sit in his waiting room. His staff isn't very nice either. Went there over a yr and a half and shelled out alot of money and was still always in pain. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, unless you got money to throw away!
