dr balkcom is a great dr. clearly lots of practical experience to apply to your needs. he's easy going, honest, and matter of fact in his approach. he appreciates veterans, and listens to what you have to say. both appointments that I have had my concerns were addressed, and treated. also offers advice on more at home care and remedy options as well.

I've used Dr. Balkcom for 15 years. This man knows his business. He won't give up until he figures out what the problem is. Even if he has to call a consultation from another Doctor. I hope to continue to use him as long as I can. Very nice demeanor also. Friendly and family oriented.

Just left the clinic, and will NEVER return! This is my third time to see Dr Balkcom and it is the third time he has refused to listen and wasted my time and money. I will again be required to go to another Dr to get help of any kind. This visit my son came in coughing so hard he can't eat. The nurse looked at his ears and said he looked like his right ear definatly had something going on. Which would make sense considering he just finished a round of antibiotics for an ear infection 4 days ago. Dr Balkcom comes in and says, "His ears are fine, his throat is irritated, and he has no fever so it must be Alergies." We inform him that our son had fever last night, is taking alergy medicine, and a triple cough syrup that was perscribed two weeks ago. He refused to acknowledge that and sent us on our way when we refused to do a flu swab that would have cost us more money for no reason considering he already told us he was convinced it was allergies and he showed no signs of the flu!
