Dr. Hugh H Windom

Arrogant, condescending doctor. I regret taking my chil to see this man. His arrogance prevents him from treating a patient. One of the worst experiences in my life, he got very loud telling me my child “was cured” and didn’t have allergies (going by old test and not having current information in front of him). When I pointed that he needed to get current labs first instead of talking to me that way, he started contradicting himself in order to be right. Later proceeded to break a tongue depressor and scratched my child’s arm (very hard that he broke skin) then stated all my child had is “dermatographia”. Only by the force he used scratching the arm! I am seriously appalled that IU let that happen to my child. Please, stay away from this office or at least him, if you want to resolve your health concerns. There are far better providers in town.

Dr Windom is very caring of his patients and work with you to get to the bottom of your needs. We are so lucky to have him in our area with all amazing work he does in his office to help children. I would highly recommend him...and also to parent with children with allergies.

Great experience here to find out what I am allergic to with skin testing. Very knowledgeable and awesome staff.

I wish there was something below one star. Bedside manor is lacking at the front counter and after finally seeing the doctors notes of my visit.

He could be amazing, but I will never know. I called several times. Nobody picks up the phone, so one is forced to leave messages. I left a message requesting an appointment a few days ago and I was never called back.

There are not enough words to describe the absolutely incredible care given to each patient. We travel well over an hour and feel that it is a very small trade for the level of care. The entire staff is wonderful.

Awful experience. I went to Dr Windom because I suffer every year from bad allergies. I was hoping to find out specifically what pollen it was that was affecting me, so I could better prepare myself when that "season" would come around. At first, the nurse started to say I was allergic to something but then consulted the Doctor. Dr Windom met with me and then told me that I was not allergic to ANYTHING. I guess it's all my imagination then. The series of shots on my upper arm several blew up and did not heal for over a MONTH... but I'm not allergic to anything. This cost me money! I will pay to have another test done, by a more reputable and or reliable and honest doctor. I would like to know specifically what pollen is causing me issues since it seems to have gotten worse and also get some advice as to how to what I can do to relieve the symptoms when they do come up... for example, I know people who actually get a shot. I would strongly suggest you find another Dr. to go to.

I went to this doctor for treatment of an ongoing chronic cough diagnosed previously as asthma by an excellent physician in NJ. I was prescribed Symbicort. Dr. Windom decided I do not have asthma, which I have no problem with. He took me off the Symbicort. But, I am still coughing and not being treated which is why I went to him in the first place. I am very dissatisfied.

Scheduled an appt at 9:00 am. We were new patients, so we showed up with my 9-month-old baby at 8:45 am to fill out the paperwork. The waiting room was empty, but I was waiting for an hour to see the doctor. Every 15 min they lied to me that they are preparing the room. After I pushed them, they told me it's their policy for a new patient to wait for an hour to see the doctor. So, I saw the doctor exactly at 10:00 am. Why wouldn't the front desk let me know ahead of time so we could walk around with the baby instead of being stuck in an empty waiting room? Instead of it, they lied every 15 min that the room is getting ready When it was a time to see the doctor, the baby was cranky and barely made it. The doctor wanted to perform the allergy test. It would take another hour. Don't you think that I should be aware of it at the time of scheduling appt? When appt was scheduled the front desk girl Ann never let me know that the doctor would perform the test and it would take couple hours. She never told me that we shouldn't take any allergy medicine a week before to see the doctor. But she was very rude instead and definitely didn't know what she was doing. When she confirmed that she received our referrals, she said they will call me back to schedule an appt. Never happened. I waited for 3 days and called them. Making a long story short, the staff is rude and unprofessional. The hospital policy doesn't appreciate Moms with kids. Scheduled an appt at 9:00 am. Went there for Oral Immune therapy for my sons peanut/tree nut allergy. Great staff. Wendy (his OIT nurse) is fantastic. Dr. Windom took time with us and made sure all our questions were answered. We drive 2 1/2 hours to get this therapy from his office. They are amazing

I love this office and Dr Ly, I trust her and the office with my most prized possession my daughter.. I would not hesitate for a second to refer anyone to this office.

He changed our life in so many wonderful and profound ways that I found it difficult to thank him because I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Our daughter is no longer at risk of being killed by her peanut allergy.

Dr. Windom is absolutely simply the Best. I can't believe that I can actually freely breath again. I thank God and Dr. Windom for his care and qualified equipe to swiftly solve my allergy issues. I appreciate so much,

We see Dr. Furgison, for pediatric seasonal allergies. She’s receptive, thorough, and gives excellent written care instructions/ plans. The facility is clean and administered well. So very thankful for their care and professionalism:)

Amazing staff here. All of the doctors are great as well as the nurses. They offer "treatment" for food allergies that you cannot find elsewhere. my daughter has gone from a class 5/6 (peanut allergy) to eating 7g of peanuts a day! I highly recommend this practice.

My only dissatisfaction is with the office staff not being on the same page for billing. I went to check out & was told my balance was much higher than what I was told the previous visit. Check out staff member went to ofc mgr for clarification & my lower balance was correct. I wanted to pay balance & told her that but she only ran my co-pay thru credit card machine. Also, I have not received a statement of any kind from Windom Allergy in over 7 - 8 months.

I was going to be a new patient but they have horrible phone customer service. If you hate your job then find a new one don't ruin the customers day with your grief or misery.

Wonderful Office, Clean and very friendly staff

Dr. Windom and his staff has been great in treating my son allergy in the past and more so now. We moved into another county and sorted new allergy doctor but got the run-around concerning treatment and care. I do not have an issue with making the 1 hour and 30 minutes trip to see Dr. Windom. If I need to contact him during after hours, Dr. Windom return our calls and he even call the pharmacy without any issues. I would recommed his office to my family and friends.

Very friendly practice, also very professional. My allergies continue to be better controlled as time passes and my visits are being spread out over longer periods of time as the years past. I'm so glad my original allergist referred me to Dr. Windom when we moved to Florida.
