I am SO INCREDIBLY frustrated and have nowhere to vent or anywhere I can go for help. Mental healthcare in this city is a JOKE. My Dr., who I had been with for 15 years, retired last year. No problem, I'll get a new one. Wrong. ALL of the places I've called over the past year (a dozen at least) NONE are accepting new patients. Ok, fine. I guess I understand that. FINALLY, I get someone to call me back (from Dr. Hugh's office) She says, she'll think about it (or, that the Dr. will think about it) and call me back. About a week later, I get a call telling me that he's not going to take me as a patient. When I asked if there were any direction she could point me in, or any other Dr. I could try, all I got is.. I'm sorry. right. I'd like to know WHY IT TOOK A WEEK to tell me you wouldn't accept me as a patient? I ask you. How would YOU feel if you were repeatedly denied access to a Dr.? Way worse than getting a 1 star review I can tell you that. Thanks for being jerks- Jessica Askew

Out of Network for BCBS. $200+ per visit

I had seen Dr Sharp for 5 years and after a three year break, I attempted to set up a new appointment. When I called to schedule the appointment the officer manager, and the other office staff were discourteous and disrespectful. I felt as though they were distorting the message I was attempting to send Dr Sharp. One of these office personnel returned my last call and triumphantly told me My appointment could not be scheduled! I think Dr Sharp is quite good at his profession but I would recommend he review basic courtesy concepts with those who answer the phone.

Dr. Sharp is an excellent psychiatrist. He has been my doctor for almost 20 years.

I was 3 minutes late for my December appointment, with a cast on one foot and a walking boot on the other and she wouldn’t let in. Absolutely love Dr Sharp but I’ve had some issues with the office staff before. At times they come across very rude and unfriendly.

He was so nice and understanding.

I enjoy my visits with Dr. Sharp and he knows his stuff. He does his best to accommodate you and your needs and is easy to get along with and talk to.

After a suicide attempt under his care with medication he prescribed he signed me in a psychiatric hospital

Everyone I spoke to was very rude and not very helpful. I tried explaining my circumstance and they didn't listen. Because it wasn't ideal they shut me down and told me to go find someone else because they didn't have time.

Very helpful. Does a great job with a difficult field.

I'm glad to have found Dr. Sharp.

Horrible physician and office staff. Physician is completely unaware of the patients he is overseeing and writing medications for. My PCP called his office staff and confirmed that They could schedule me in February. After 3 attempts to contact office they call back and say they cannot. His office assistant mentions that dr sharp says I’m seeing the PA he oversees at one of the offices in town, not his main office, I have not seen this PA since October and he was completely unaware. Unacceptable

Excellent! This stupid box will not let me put in excellent. I would recommend Dr. Sharp to anyone having a mental illness, especially if you need long term care or need a diagnosis. I give him an excellent rating all around because he listens well, diagnoses well and knows his diseases. He is kind and supportive. His staff is great. I can't get this web site to work correctly. Don't believe where it says poor on this. Excellet for likelihood of recommending Dr. sharp to family &friends.

I found this doctor to be very thorough and easy to talk to. He was friendly, yet very professional. I am glad I found him. I would have no problems referring him to a friend.

Dr Sharp has helped me get to where I can live my life again. There has been ups and downs with meds but that is expected when dealing with SSRI medications. Some people may have had bad experiences with him but he has helped me come to an understanding of what's going on.

Dr. Sharp has been very professional with me and has helped me tremendously. He once told me that he would not give up on me until we found a treatment. We finally found something that works and I've been happier than I have been in a long time. I think the receptionist is nice. What a jerk! $220 ripoff Reception was polite and clean office. But this guy thinks he's smarter than everyone and is so inconsiderate. He doesn't care about patients, just money.

I agree that Dr sharp thinks he is the smartest psychiatrist in town. His receptionist is the rudest woman I have ever encountered in a doctors office. Dr sharp truly has no clue how to treat borderline personality disorder. He deffered me after starting me on a new drug I called for an appointment telling the cold receptionist that I AM HAVING MEMORY LOSS. I missed that appointment because I can't keep track of days. This med is making me sick and instead of following up he refuses too see me. He even is stopping my meds! YOU CAN'T JUST STOP COLD TURKEY FROM ANTIPSYCHOTICS!!!HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS AND THINKS HIS TIME IS GOLD. THIS IS IRRESPONSIBLE. Receptionist is the rudest person on earth. I didn't even get to see the doctor because of her crap. She even threatened to charge my ins because I missed a visit (which is illegal), stating it's his "policy". I've worked in plenty of doctor's offices, yes even psych offices, and this was the most appalling. STAY AWAY
