Dr. Howard Bruce Weiss

Dr. Weiss has been really good to me. He's very knowledgeable, and he can get you to the right doctors, therapist, and prosthesist. In a very critical time in my life, he's been a blessing.

He doesn't care about his workers comp patients. Just pushes them back to work. Doesn't care if your still in pain or about your mental health. Highly advice too a different doctor if your going throw workers comp. This guy doesn't care about you. He does whatever workers comp wants him too

I have been seeing Dr. Weiss for over 10 years for a back injury stemming from years of power lifting. Dr. Weiss is the only Dr. that would even try to help me. Some complain about wait times, but I doubt anyone sees a Dr. on time. He is a very busy man and takes time with his patient's.

After 10 years and 9 doctors, I was referred to Dr. Weiss about a hip issue and leg weakness. He figured out my problem and got me to the correct surgeon and now I am pain-free with a leg that is getting stronger every day. I found Dr. Weiss to be a good listener and compassionate person to who I would just enjoy talking to.

I took my sister to the appointment. She was nervous and anxious, but well prepared. She had a typed list of questions for him, as well as paper copies and two discs of diagnostic tests done. His nurse, Stephanie, was excellent. My sister was hopeful that she would get a treatment plan to help her strengthen her atrophying muscles. However, we waited approximately an hour and a half past the appointment time. When my sister started asking Weiss questions, he told her that he'd look at the tests, then examine her, then answer her questions. When she gave him the discs, he said he couldn't copy them but could look at them - which he never did. After the exam, he gave his diagnosis. She complained of leg pain, difficulty walking, and trouble with balance, and asked what could be done. He said, "I don't know what to tell you about that!" She asked if physical therapy would help and he said he could refer her for four weeks, three times a week if she wanted. When she asked about

My mother was 93 years old when she went to Brooks for rehab after knee replacement surgery. Dr. Weiss sent her home after one week of rehab, on the 4th of July, with no care plan in place. Mom lived alone in her own house and had no one there to be with her or help her. I live across the country and had to make all arrangements for her care long distance....on a holiday weekend. I had been there for her surgery and for the transfer to Brooks and i figured she was safe and cared for while she had PT. After her hip replacement 5 years earlier, she had been in rehab at a different facility for about three weeks. Simlatly, when she fell and broke her arm and it had to be surgically repaired, three week in rehab. Based on my conversations with the social worker at Baptist Hospital, I expected it to be. about the same for her knee. But not with Dr Weiss in charge of her care. He claimed her orthopedic surgeon was a friend and that he was sure her surgeon would also want her to go home. Because it was the 4th of July, and her orthopedic surgeon was on vacation, i couldn’t reach him...and when I finally did a week later, he was appalled when he found out what happened and wanted to send her to a different facility for continued recovery. However by the time I got in touch with him, it was a week later, and I had already arranged and paid for 24/7 in-home care for 10 days. Dr. Weiss told me on the 4th of July that he was releasing her that day. She hadn’t even been allowed to use the bathroom without help when he made that decision. Being holiday made everything exponentially harder. A friend picked her up and stayed in her home with her until the health aide I had hired go there. I hav absolutely nothing good to about this man. This place is the definition of a circus. You show up to pick up a prescription after a 45 minute ride to get here and they dont have it and cant get it written even after confirming via telephone call that it was ready. Not once, not twice, but on a regular basis. The front desk confirms that he double books each appointment. And the man is never on time to work. We had an appointment today at 1145. Once again, Dr. Weiss wasnt here yet. 12:35 and just now getting pulled to the back. Completely inconsiderate office. I would definitely look elsewhere for a pain doctor. They are anything but professional and practical. This place is the definition of a circus. Dr Weiss is very knowledgeable and willing to help to get the appropriate care needed. However, I do feel staff needs to work with some since of urgency in regards to paperwork.

I have been a patient of Dr . Weiss for 2+ years . He personally saved my life when I coded in the Brooke’s rehabilitation hospital and has treated me through my multifaceted recovery with kindness and professionalism beyond belief . He knows what he is doing and when he needs help from another physician he promptly coordinates treatment with the best in the business. I would turn the care of my loved ones over to him in a minute if needed . The team in his office can’t get enough praise . I think some of reviews on this site must have been for another physician . Waited for over an hour to be seen with no explanation as to why Dr. Weiss was late and when I asked what was the reason, the staff couldn't say and was told that There were 2 patients still ahead of me.

This place is very unprofessional,dr.is never on time, service sucks!!!!

Not only did he and Brooks SAVE my life, they changed it forever. Amazing Doctor and a stellar Man.

My husband has been seeing Dr Weiss since he was admitted to Brooks Rehab Center in June 2015. You may wait on him sometimes for a long period of time but he is worth the wait as he is very throughal and experienced in his field. He is very straight forward and truthfully about your outcome. We highly recommend him

I have been seeing Dr. Weiss now since 2013. He is a great doc. Some times you do wait hours for your appt, as he gets called for emergency surgery. His staff is pretty good as well. I've seen them come and go. He's honest and tells you what it's about. He doesn't sugar coat things.

Doctor appears okay. But his unfriendly staff is a huge downfall for the practice. They are rude and lack basic comprehension skills in patient/or other conversations. Bedside manner is really important and the staff lack it tremendously.

He spends as much time with a patient as they need so, you might have to wait to see him but as evidenced by the people waiting in his office ( no one leaves or reschedules). He is excellent and cares more about his patients than any doctor I have ever seen. Smart and funny, I felt so much better and hopeful after seeing him.

Dr. Weiss is an excellent physician! He took my case on after two failed surgeries following knee replacements! He conferred with other physicians via phone and in my presence re: my condition. He referred me appropriately to other physicians and followed up with their care of me by continuing frequent contact them and correlating office visits with me!! I don't know what I would have done without Dr. Wieiss. He has literally saved me from being in a wheelchair permanently! He is the best!!!
