He nearly destroyed a good relationship by having us focus on the negative aspects of our relationship instead of helping us build a positive one moving forward. I do not recommend, and if you do meet with him make sure you set CLEAR goals.

Not good. Went there for couple's therapy - my wife couldn't stand him. I saw why. He was very dismissive of what she was trying to say (even I could see that) Saw him 3 times and never went back.

My wife and I went to couples counseling with Howard. He was fair, involved and insightful. We might not have been the easiest couple to deal with, yet Howard was patient and helped us work through our issues. He quite possibly saved our marriage.

I have to say that my experience with Howard was not a good one. He seemed more interested in putting his agenda on the table rather than working with where I was. He was extremely disorganized when it came to his billing saying that my insurance company had not paid him, when in fact after contacting my insurer they reported that he had signed and cashed the check 3 weeks earlier. When I brought this to his attention he huffed and puffed and then called in a collection agency on me.

I never leave reviews, but my two visits with Howard were deeply upsetting. He clearly has been in practice for a long time, which led him to casual sexism (such as telling me that women don't usually have trouble with being overachievers at work and that I might someday find value in motherhood), as well as invalidation (such as telling me that my diagnosis was wrong). While he's probably a nice guy in life, he's not a good therapist.
