Dr. Howard J Marans

I saw Howard Marans on October 31, 2019 for an intermittent painful knee. After an MRI of the knee, he diagnosed a tear in the medial meniscus. He is an honest and caring physician. The tear was not severe and surgery had a 50/50 chance of being successful. The problems that I could have at age 83 could be loss of so much cartilage that I would need a knee replacement. So instead of surgery, we chose to wait and I do exercises to strengthen the knee area. I also use KT tape to support the area. Almost 3 years later, I am doing well and still have my original knee. Dr.Marans is amazing and takes into consideration the whole patient. I wish more of the medical field were like he is.

Great Orthopedic surgeon! He repaired my broken clavicle at the shoulder and also a broken wrist.

I can’t believe he’s still allowed to practice medicine! This doctor has damaged my arm to the point of excruciating pain, worse than before! And while he was sending me to different physical therapy places they all said that he screwed up 2 kid's operations! And then doctors in Fountain Valley also stated he was horrible at leaving surgical tools in patients for example a sponge. He made me do so many things to where it was past the point of suing him. He admitted that i was worse after surgery

I know that Dr. Marans is the surgeon other surgeons send their families to because he's not only a wonderful experienced surgeon that gives all his patients the highest quality care, but he also is a caring doctor. He leaves nothing to chance, let's his patients know exactly what needs to be done, and is exactly the doctor to help one fix what's wrong and be righted. He goes the extra mile for his patients inspiring trust, and this is what endears him to all who seek his help and expertise.
