Experienced caring medical advice, smart friendly staff, minimalist approach to surgical options, takes insurance. 40 years of expertise. (Alas, no courtesy bar of free lattes and croissants for seniors. No one is perfect. Also still waiting for requested Rx of week in Aruba. Should have asked for ice cream.) I have known Dr. Howard Liss since the late 1980's, at which time he recognized an usual and painful back issue I had which had remained undiagnosed by others for 5 years. He recommended a surgeon at Columbia who was able to correct it and allow me to once again be mobile, pain free and resume sports that I had to give up. I saw Dr. Liss for others issues over time, he always identified the issue and his superb staff and instructive therapies always got me going again. I moved 70 miles away, and recently came back to see Dr. Liss , as I wanted his opinion about some issues I am having. He once again set me on the right path with conservative physical therapy. I recommend him highly to everyone. He is personable, and still takes the time to listen as well as examine carefully. His advice and recommendations are invaluable to me! Dr Liss is truly a 5-star physician. I went to him a number of years ago and nothing has changed re my current visits except for his office. I also sincerely find him to be a truly good man who has the utmost interest in his patients. He always has a nice smile and you can tell that he wants to get to the root of your problem! MY EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL. DR. LISS WAS AMAZING AND WAS ABLE TO IDENTIFY MY MEDICAL PROBLEM ACCURATELY IN ONLY ONE VISIT. Dr Liss is an extremely good diagnostician, and is very flexible about one using their own PT. I have complete confidence in him.

If it weren’t for Dr. Howard Liss I don’t know what I would do. Dr. Liss is just wonderful and he got me out of severe neck pain. Dr. Liss sits down with you, listens to your problem and talks to you and then gives you a step by step treatment plan. I enjoy going to his office. His staff is so friendly and helpful. A close friend recommended Dr. Liss when I was having shoulder pain and not seeing results at another practice. My initial consult was over the phone during the hight of the COVID 19 pandemic. Dr. Liss patiently listened to my symptoms and I felt very confident of his understanding of the issue. Once he was able to do an in-person exam, he prescribed the correct course of physical therapy. A+ for Olga and her therapeutic massages at the Liss Rehabilitation Institute. Olga is extremely skilled and knowledgeable about anatomy. She gives targeted massages that focus exactly on one's areas of concern. Olga is very eager to help her patients recover and feel better. She even gave me some yoga exercises to work on at home. Dr. Liss is a great doctor and his office staff is super friendly, helpful and nice! He also has a masseuse that comes in as needed and she's fantastic! I highly recommend Dr. Liss and don't go elsewhere if a massage is needed.

I have never seen a Doctor's office that works so hard at making sure their patients get the care they need. Dr. Liss's office not only accommodated me in my time of need but made sure all the other doctors I needed did as well. He was not only my doctor but an advocate for me as well. His level care has, so far, been exemplary.

My experience with Dr. Liss has been very positive from the get go. The office is adequately staffed so that when I call for an appointment, I never get put on hold. The office staff is very friendly and professional. When I call, and announce myself, they seem genuinely pleased to hear my voice. They take COVID-19 precautions seriously and are very dilligent in their observance. Dr. Liss conducted a very thorough physical examiniation, made strong eye contact and listened attentively when I described my injuries. He is never dismissive, but rather takes the patient seriously. My condition is improving and I hope to be all the way back on my feet soon. Dr. Liss took the time to understand my issues, recommended a course of treatment and personally reached out to other practitioners to get me treated as soon as possible. As a result, my issues were resolved very quickly. His staff - specifically Emily & Kim, have been very attentive, kind and friendly. Dr, Liss is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors that I have ever known. I have been his patient for over thirty years. Whether it was my back, by knee or my shoulder, he always took the time to listen to me. He is not one of those doctors who pays little attention to your concerns and gives an almost automatic diagnosis. HIs approach is thorough. I have recommended him to many of my friends and family and continue to do so. No one was disappointed and thanked me for sharing his information.

Our entire family has been treated by Dr. Howard Liss for the past 25 years. We trust and depend on Dr. Liss to get us all back on the court, field, track etc. and he always does! I saw Dr. Liss for pain after a flu and he immediately diagnosed two broken ribs. I am so grateful that he figured out exactly where my pain was coming from. Wonderful doctor, knows exactly what the problem is and will not order unnecessary imaging studies. You walk out of his office confidently that he will make you better. His staff is equally great.

I was seen by the Dr. Liss who gave me a very thorough exam and diagnosed what was causing my acute back pain. I was experiencing severe pain on the right lower side of my back and could not stand up straight. I would rate my pain an 8 out of 10. The staffer who spoke to me understood I was in pain and squeezed me in for an appointment that day. Dr. Liss took his time and examined my spine, etc and understood what the issue was. He suggested manual manipulation and physical therapy and its now two days later and I already feel significantly better. His bedside manner is kind and empathetic. The staff are devoted to the Doctor and the patients and treat everyone with kindness and respect. The office is very nice and spacious. I think Dr. Liss is a wonderful diagnostician with a fantastic disposition. He is a ten out of ten. I worked for Dr. Liss for 13 years as a physical therapist and trust him, implicitly, with my health and that of my family. Dr. Liss has always taken the time to listen to my symptoms, perform a detailed examination, formulate a diagnois, and lead my down the proper path towards restoring my health and function. Dr. Liss is an excellent physician on numerous levels. He is a wonderful doctor and always gives his patients the upmost attention.
