Dr. Howard Levinson

Just had my first visit with Dr. Levinson and it went fantastic. I left the visit with so much more knowledge of my medical condition that when I came in. I fell very comfortable having Dr. Levinson conduct my surgery. His staff was great and very friendly. He is very knowledgeable about Hernias.

My experience was amazing. Everyone made me feel good about my decision. They made sure I was comfortable and any drug giving was explained and why it was giving. I mean the entire staff was just amazing. Will be back next year! Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

Very disappointed with the services provided. I recently had a c-section in June and have been having complications with my wound and the healing process. I’ve been having severe pain and my ob’s recommendation was to see Dr.Levinson in hopes that he would revise my scar and help with my problem. Dr.Levinson made it very clear he did not care about my situation. He over talked over me while I was explaining my situation. He told me I needed physiological therapy and my pain was completely in my head because I didn’t think positive. He told me that two people break there leg and only one survives because one thought negative and one thought positive. I was rushed out of the office and was given no answers or after visit summary and he could care less

Spoke to my back while I laid on the exam table. Had no idea of how to help me.

Put zero notes in my chart to summarize my appointment. No way for the team of docs to know anything about my appointment.

My daughter recently had surgery performed by Dr. Levinson. He and his staff have been outstanding! They were responsive, took the time to answer any questions we had - including between follow up appointments. They were great in helping to reach closure with insurance to obtain approval for the surgery. And the surgery went off without a hitch! Can't recommend more highly! A big Thank You to Dr. Levinson, Stephanie Brewer and Kristy Proffit.

Dr. Levison performed an open repair of a large incisional hernia. He and his staff were good about answering my questions, and the operation went very well. I was very pleased with the in- and out-of-hospital follow-up and care.

Great experience, very happy with my procedure. Would highly recommend Dr.Levinson and the team at Duke.

Dr. Levinson really took the time explain my upcoming surgery and was very honest and sincere in his desire to help eliminate a 3rd degree burn scar that causes me a lot pain and now infections. I feel completely relaxed and confident that he will do his best for me and truly appreciate a doctor that listens and really hears their patient.Dr. Levinson was definitely that for me. Being in and out of Duke hospital with my special needs daughter for 25 years , Dr. Levinson is a good doctor!
