This surgeon placed a titanium cage around two lower lumbar discs, relieving my significant other of 17 years of chronic lower back daily pain. The surgery went perfect, he healed very quickly and Dr. Elgafy was very good at following up and advising. He always answers all questions. He is outstanding at this procedure and after care.The only complaint, not his fault, was the hospital bed was extremely uncomfortable, not designed well for back surgery patients.

Dr. Elgafy performed interbody cage procedure on my significant other. The surgery went absolutely perfect and relieved him of the chronic daily pain he had experienced for over 17 years with two badly damanged discs. . He healed quickly with no issues . Dr.Elgafy has to be one of the leading experts in this procedure and he is also very kind with great bedside manner, he listens to his patients.

All around great doctor. I had a disectomy with another doctor 11 years ago and everything went back and didn't help. Dr Elgafy did a fusion on me and it's been a year and I recovered in less than half the time as my first one. Zero pain now. Thanks

100% taken care of! Also explained everything in depth and you never left without knowing what you needed to know. Would recommend Mr. Elgafy and his team!

Less than 10 minutes to discuss my progressive paralysis, little to no explanation for what appeared to be his equally lazily formed "opinion" of my condition. Don't waste your time. If you have had prior surgeries, I don't care what he says. He is not going to help you or even explain in any detail why he thinks what he thinks.

First time I met him I knew I was in good hands. I was pleased with his attentiveness, knowledge, and straightforward approach. The surgery performed went excellent as well as the recovery. For any and all back pain I would recommend him and his wonderful staff 100%.

I had pain from my back and down my leg. I had this pain for years! I finally decided to have surgey. I am so happy I made that choice! Dr.Elgafy performed a fusion and decompression on me. My horrible pain is gone! Of course I am almost 3 weeks out, so I have pain from the surgey. So I would recommend him to anybody!

I have had multiple surgeries and yes a difficult patient due to bipolar. But this Dr when told this changed. First he was talking about getting me the healthiest. Questioned my integrity when i told him I quit smoking 3 yrs prior for a past surgery. He got up walked out. Came back, told him that walking out made me worse. He told me he wasn't gonna take a chance on me, to risky. Then just said bye. Spoke to his boss today, Laura Malik, she claims Dr said my spine was too extensively damaged. But prior to him walking out and leaving me alone, he gave me a run down of what he had to fix. When I said it was rude to walk out, he suddenly couldn't help. Don't bother calling his boss she just covers his ass. I've spoken to 3 nurses and a Dr that have said they heard the same thing about Mr Elgafy. Had one appt with this doctor. OMG what a crackpot. Asked if I smoked. Yes i do, but never during my fusion surgeries. Dr said all my problems are due to smoking. All I asked about was some muscle injections for a pinched nerve. The last spine guy always said my fusions were filling in and looked great. This surgeon recommended a revision and I asked one question. When that surgery fails, what then? He responded with a grin: Well, I don't know The wife and I were floored!

Dr Elgafy is very detailed in assessing a diagnoses. He doesn't make quick inaccurate judgments. Before seeing Dr Elgafy I had seen 4 other spine specialists for 4 months and none of them were able to diagnose my problem correctly. After 2 visits with Dr Elgafy identified the cause and and needed procedure to correct the problem. I know a lot of people complain about wait times in his office, but this is due to him being detailed in his examinations and in my opinion well worth it.
