Dr. Hooman Darien Behravan

I will never feel so disillusioned and disappointed with this doctor, please do not go with him, he is not a trustworthy doctor, in 2 years I only saw him once and the rest only for calls, stealing from insurance and there was no improvement in my lower back injuries, zero stars, very bad doctor ????????

Dr. Behravan is the best pain management specialist I have ever worked with. He took the time to discuss my situation on several occasions adjusting my treatment until we nailed it. His staff worked diligently to get my authorization in a timely manner so I could utilize my already met deductible. I highly recommend Dr. Behravan!

He was truly an amazing doctor through and through. You can tell he cares deeply about his patients well being, and he is incredibly passionate about this subject of work.

Let me start off by saying that Dr. Darien Baravan has been a lifesaver for me I have gone through hell and high water for a long time with my pain and in 2011 I met this wonderful Doctor Who saved me from a life of hell I went through excruciating pain dealing with evaluations with horrible people to find out that I was damaged yes I’m damaged but you put me through hell I went through injections with Dr. Baravan I went through pain medication I went through therapy and I was literally being helped going through injections and pain management and injections were helping so immensely that my pain was subsiding I can start moving my hands in my arms in my shoulder and my shoulder blade wasn’t burning and in torture is as bad as it was you have no idea what this man did to save my life because I was on edge I had no idea what to do with myself he helped me with my lawyers he helped me with with the company that I was dealing with with Workmen’s Comp. Dr. B is cheerful, polite, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. He spent time with me to ensure I understood what I could expect. I hav nothing but praise for this doctor and his skills. My spine surgeon told me to go see him and told me he injected his neck. He seems to be the doctor that doctors go for their injections and pain issues.

I met Dr. Behravan Hooman once. His Secretary in the office was very rude. She called me several times about a medical procedure I was to have to relieve my pain. The surgery center called me with instructions for the procedure. The office called to cancel the procedure. This happened several times and I don’t think Dr. Behravan Hooman knew about it. Dr. Behravan is great. Well worth waiting for. I broke my neck and the physician that did my fusion had me on an insane amount of opiate pain relievers. Dr. Behravan treated me, not my symptoms. 5 years later I am still pain free. Thank you all but especially Dr. Behravan!

The front end staff is the worst I have ever seen. The front manager should be fired and never to get a job in healthcare business. She talks bad about behind your back and is very rude to when you talk to her. I guess she doesn't know about HIPPA. She is the lowest of the lowest.the Dr is using the workmans comp system and not there to help you. You have to wait hours after your scheduled time to see him. Than you see him for 5 minutes. So as they say if I could give a zero as a star I would. I was recommended to Dr. Behravan for slipped disc pain. My experience with Dr. Behravan's office has been pretty consistent. On my first visit, I was greeted rudely by the front office staff, was made to wait for 38mins before being put in the office to wait an additional 40mins before being seen by the doctor. Sitting is hard for me given my injury so of course, this was very difficult to experience. For my phone appointment follow-up, the Doctor called over an hour after our appointment time. On the second in-person visit, I was on time and essentially tried to be as patient as possible. Still, I was made to wait over 35mins for my first and only procedure. Although the procedure room was wiped down after the last patient, we literally were booked back to back with no more than 10 mins between use on the table. My follow-up appointments have been essentially quick check-ins. Upon calling to report increase in pain and discuss this with the Dr., the Office Manager again was extremely rude and dismissive. She basically told me that because I was reporting pain that was not covered by the insurance she wasn't obligated to do anything with the information. After reporting that she would take a message and hanging up in my face, I hoped to hear from the Doctor directly to discuss the situation I was reporting. Instead, I received no call from the doctor less than two days later, I received a letter saying that the doctor could no longer serve as my physician. This is the service you can come to expect from this practice. The office manager Marcela is extremely rude, and needs to be fired. I had a horrible experience dealing with her, it’s too bad because I had seen Dr Behravan before and he is good. Unfortunately I had switched insurances and they don’t take my new insurance because they are not contracted. Although I was told I could pay out of pocket things changed when the appointment was going to be set up. The office still could’ve billed my insurance and the responsibility would’ve been on the patient. I guess the billing department and office manager didn’t know that. I am more than willing to pay out of pocket, but she is refusing treatment. Marcela is condescending, and has a lack of knowledge for her job description. I felt sexually harassed and personally attacked because I didn’t respond to his inappropriate message. He has no business advising me to get cosmetic procedures and trying to insult me, especially since his work is displayed on his Instagram which he uses to hit on and insult women. I was recommended to Dr. Behravan for slipped disc pain. My experience with Dr. Behravan's office has been pretty consistent. In-person visits were always delayed by over 35-75mins. Phone visits were delayed by over an hour. Procedures were barely done according to COVID-19 Guidelines with less than 10 mins between patients on the table. Directly communicating with the doctor is not really possible after the initial exam. The Office Manager was consistently rude and dismissive. Additionally, the doctor prescribed medicine for back pain that is not FDA approved for treatment of back pain. Upon reporting additional pain symptoms to the front office, I was denied access to the doctor and dismissed from the physicians' care 48hrs later without any acknowledgement or referral to a new doctor. Dr. Behravan is generally a good doctor. However, the front office is rude and the overall management of the practice appointment scheduling is not on time.

Dr.Behravan, got paid last year and I went to go see him for a check up! He said he could not help me after that, etc. He start yelling at me when I came to his office, after he got a phone call about one of his employees being rude to patients!, etc.

Do not go to this doctor if you are looking for compassion or a solution. I have had a severe pain in my thoracic spine and he told me it is psychosomatic (meaning only in my head) and after seeing me ONE TIME with NO PHYSICAL EXAM he told me there is nothing he can do for me and I should just keep taking my antidepressants. I have been on antidepressants for several months and they clearly aren’t helping my pain because it is a musculoskeletal issue. This doctor is useless and incredibly rude. if i could give zero stars or even negative stars, i would. after being diagnosed with three herniated discs in the fall of 2015, something went horribly wrong in winter 2016. after a trip to the ER for my back pain, i waited 6 weeks for an appointment with dr. behravan in march 2017. once at the office, i waited for two and a half hours to be seen despite being in excruciating pain that could only be relieved lying down. after an hour and a half, i returned to the front desk to ask how much longer it would be and the very unempathetic response was “the doctor will see you when he’s ready.” when i finally got in the office, dr. behravan looked at my chart and found it critical we discuss my mental health disorder, despite me being under quality care with no episodic features. he then declared my pain was psychological and there was nothing physically wrong with me without any questions about my history or looking at the images i brought from fall 2016. i fell apart crying, telling him i had come because i knew something was wrong and i just needed someone to order an mri (my gp was insisting it be done by a specialist). he accused me of trying to hustle him for pills (which i specifically said i was not interested in), and bid me good day in less than 10 minutes. it took until november to get help, and when i finally did, it was revealed another disc had started to herniate and the L4/L5 disc had fragmented and were embedded in my sciatic nerve, causing the excruciating pain. if dr. behravan had taken the time to actually listen to me and hear my history, not to mention look at the report that stated my condition, i could have gotten critical data to repair my back sooner. instead, i suffered for months, afraid to try and get help because i had been written off as “crazy” instead of legitimately hurting. i wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. if i could give zero stars or even negative stars, i would. after being diagnosed with three herniated discs in the fall of 2015, something went horribly wrong in winter 2016. after a trip to the ER for my back pain, i waited 6 weeks for an … More

I have been going to Dr. B for about 15 yrs or more, He is a wonderful Dr. with a good sense of humor, He is a great advocate for people with real pain. He tried everything he could to maintain my pain levels i have neuropathy and 4 back surgeries . He is not rude he is just straight up with people and keeps it real.and is very compassionate about his job and his patients. and his staff are so sweet as well as ms. Dangerously egotistical. Staff was rude and looked miserable. He claimed to completely understand every aspect of my injury by"sneaking a peek"at me bending over. This is before the injury was revealed. I don't take opiates. I would give him 6 stars if they had them! He provided the best treatment for my right knee and lower back pain. I’ve been seeing Dr. Behravan for some time now but my most recent visit to his office reminded me why I keep going back. He cares about my back pain and truly wants to make me feel better by using minimally invasive techniques that are quick and efficient. I feel better already and am grateful to have a doctor with such expertise.

Dr. Behravan suggested botox injections for my migraines, and since I've tried everything else, I thought why not. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I am surprised at how much my headaches have improved. This doctor listens, and is caring and straightforward, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Behravan. Wait can be a little long if there are procedures going on but that is the only negative. I can tell he really cares about his patients. He's kinda sassy in a good way and down to earth - in my opinion very relatable / personable. I feel that he listens, gives great advice, and tells it like it is.

I've been a patient with Dr BEHRAVAN for over 10 years. He is a compassionate man who may be over booked at times but he spends a good amount of time with each patient. Drawing blood from my left arm has never been possible until Dr. Behravan did it. When I visited Dr. Behravan for PRP injection, he had to draw the blood from my left arm. I was nervous and expected a painful, unsuccessful experience. No one was able to do it, ever. Well, I was wrong. Dr. Behravan drew my blood and it wasn't so painful. He used ultrasound to carefully look for my blood vessel. It took him a while, but he did it. Dr. Behravan is patient and skilled. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Behravan was very helpful in the beginning with managing my pain. His current assistant and staff are very unprofessional. They ruined a urine sample test for the opioid medication that they randomly test me for. Instead of testing me after I check in, they wait until after I sit down and can't go for a length of time. They are also constantly cancelling scheduled appointments and visits with me. The staff and assistant don't even greet you professionally and bully you.

I was referred to Dr. Behravan by my primary care doctor for a consultation. I must say he is a very busy man but his staff was wonderful and accommodating. My first appointment with him was very extensive. He exceeded my expectations to say the least. He explained and answered every question I had and was very knowledgeable. He did a series of injections for me which have relieved my pain tremendously. I also have seen his assistant Ridi Patel who is very gentle and well informed.

I have low back pain (back, hip and leg pain at rightside). May 2012, I visit Darien Behravan, D.O. first I got MRI, then Behravan gave me transforaminal injection. watting two weeks after short, I told injection no help. He gave me another injection. same no help at all. after two weeks I hade follow up visite. He told me: "he well try third injection, and after that give me a Neurostimulation therapy." I cancle Therapy next day after I review the DVD. Why I need Therapy if third injection kill the pain? The resort; when I am third shotting , I told docter my leg is gatting hurt. He told me this is he want, more shotting, I told him:" my leg muscle hurt more and tight." he told me after a couple of days will ok. It is opposite I got more pain in my leg, it is really hurt me. Five month now, he give injection spots still have infection. IT IS A BAD TREATMENT. and more, I visit five times, everytime I have to waitting 90 minutes.
