Dr. Hisham El-Bayar

I cannot thank Dr. El-Bayar enough for his care, expertise, great bedside manner, and for performing the best surgery I could've hoped for. I knew meeting him that I could trust him with a very scary surgery that I was about to face. He really listened to what my concerns were, took time to answer my questions and gave me ease of mind with his knowledge and experience. He removed my pancreatic tumor laproscopically using robotic procedure. I had to sign off on two other more invasive open abdominal procedures but he was able to perform the least invasive procedure. I had no complications & my recovery was very fast. I was reassured again and again by hospital staffs, nurses & doctors that I'm in good hands with Dr. El-Bayar. During my two nights hospital stay, several nurses commented that they would want him to be their surgeon if they ever needed it. I can definitely attest to that. I feel lucky and grateful for him.

I may not be here now if I had continued to see Dr. El-Bayar. In one visit he threw me into a depression with his hopeless prognosis. He seemed to not even know what was in my file incorrectly quoting measurements of tumors the HE measured. He told me my tumors were non-resectible. He said, and I quote, "if you thought you were going to live into your twilight years, it's not going to happen." Thanking God for good sense to get a second opinion.

What an incredible surgeon and doctor. This man saved my dad's life twice and it was just by chance the hospital chose him. How lucky were we! Being with my dad for 7+ weeks in the hospital, this doctor either always came by (98% of the time) or called to check up and would always take my call when needed. He is the most hands on doctor that truly looks out for the patient, no matter what that requires and no matter what time of the day or night or holiday! I would highly recommend him 100%.

Dr El-Bayar is a real Gentleman. I had an ambilical hernia surgery that he performed and I was perfect the next day.. Great professional care in every respect..
