Dr. Hilliard E Slavick

He wasn’t helpful at all. Nice guy but offers no tests or anything at all. Waste of my money. Kept forgetting everything I said few minutes prior. Not someone you would go to that is up to date with a newest research

My experience with "Dr." Slavick bordered on malpractice. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, but if you have seizures of any kind, avoid this man at all costs. I wasted much of a year seeing him, hoping I would get to the bottom of why I was having seizures. After months I was no closer to knowing the cause, but had wasted hundreds of dollars on improperly ordered tests (I later learned they weren't specific enough to seizures). Several times he made sexist and fat-phobic comments, implying that I (or any woman) would want the weight-loss side effects offered by the medication he prescribed--which I did not like, and for which he would not offer an alternative. Upon seeing another neurologist, they were surprised as to why that medication was prescribed in the first place. It also became clear that, unless I had a seizure right in front of him, he wasn't even going to be convinced that I really did have seizures. Turns out I have epilepsy. Took one appointment elsewhere to learn that.

Dr. Hilliard was cold, rude, and arrogant. He diagnosed my husband with Parkinson's Disease with the most cavalier attitude. Hilliard didn't encourage him, but instead told him he'd probably live for approximately 10-20 years. And he acted completely stoic while delivering the news. He's ice man and needs to retire.

Dr. Slavick Is the best and if you don't think so you're a loser. He is a five-star doctor no questions asked.

Horrible doctor. The first thing he did before he even introduced himself was make a sarcastic comment about my husband. In a follow-up appointment he told me I was "too anxious" and that he "has a lot of female patients like you." He misdiagnosed me with Multiple Sclerosis, and ignored evidence of Bartonella in my bloodwork. 5 years later I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease and Bartonella, after being in and out of the hospital, having repeat MRIs, and tons of bloodwork done. I would not recommend Dr. Slavick to my worst enemy. If you have been diagnosed with MS or have lesions on your brain please go get tested for Lyme and co-infections. Do not let them put you on steroids.

First told me that he "didn't know if I'd ever feel like myself again" and then later told me that the plan of care was for me to "think positive thoughts." He took plenty of time answering my questions, but ultimately left me feeling uneasy and unclear about what my diagnosis and prognosis were.

Dr. Slavich is a very com patent clinician. I found that his patient communication skills were very good. He diagnosed and treated my illness very well.

On my second visit to Dr. Slavick, I decided he was not the right doctor for me. We were dealing with a potentially life-changing diagnosis and he was very unsympathetic to my concerns. He kept me waiting for over an hour and then mentioned what a long day it had been and how he couldn't wait for it to be over. He was noticeably impatient with me and treated me in a condescending manner, speaking aloud the notes he was writing to my primary care physician about how he had done his job with me.
