Mislead to believe my insurance wouldn’t cover radiation treatment, and they “tried to appeal” but it still was denied. Called my insurance company today and they said they DO cover the treatment, my insurance is just not accepted at this office. They told me I would have to either come up with money on my own, or I was emailed papers by their office to file for assistance. All of this instead of just recommending that I try to get into another oncologist who does take my insurance . They just wanted the money for the treatment, I don’t feel like the dr truly cared about me as a patient. I’m not sure why I even got sent there in the first place, but they definitely could have informed me of the situation before putting me thru everything that they did. Going thru cancer is hard enough. On a more minor note I’d also like to add that the wait times are horrendous. 2+ hours, and no toys or tv or anything to entertain yourself. Please stop overbooking and wasting hours of people’s precious time thinking that it’s okay because of our desperate will to live. I would not recommend to go here!!
