I work with Dr M in a very small capacity. Apparently, I'm a peon who doesnt deserve respect compared to him. In less than 5 mins of communication, I could tell this was his attitude. He thinks he knows all and that everyone should bow to him and his God complex. He makes it very plain that he has no interest in helping anyone if it's an inconvenience to him. My son had a cholesteatoma in his right ear. The only way to treat this is through surgery. My son is also autistic and has sensory processing disorder. Dr. Milczuk was very patient and gentle dealing with my son. He was skilled in removing the cholesteatoma through the ear canal, rather than an incision behind the ear (as most doctors would have done), and my son has been cholesteatoma free for four years now. All follow up visits were pleasant and when I refused the 2nd surgery for titanium implant he was very understanding of my reasons and referred my son to get fitted for a hearing aid instead. If my son ever has reoccurrence of cholesteatoma I would consider moving back to Oregon just so he could see Dr. Milczuk.

This provider was very dismissive of me even after advocating for myself multiple times. I came to him because of two months of hearing loss, expecting a simple procedure to drain the fluid in my eustachian tubes in my ears. He refused to give me more than a recommendation to use Flonase for 6 weeks. I communicated that I was moving in two months and was struggling at my job because of the hearing loss and he dismissed me again, saying it would clear up on its own. I have already followed three different doctor's orders for ear irrigation, allergy meds, using sinus rinses, etc over two months and I am severely disappointed in the low level of respect I was treated with by Dr Milczuk. Another provider is willing to give me the procedure to solve the immediate issue and I do not recommend coming to Milczuk unless you want a doctor who will take the easiest route for himself. I think it's about time I write this review :) I was a patient of Dr. Milczuk ever since before I was born. It was discovered that I would have both a cleft lip and cleft palate. At 3 months old I had my first surgery with him, and ever since then my parents trusted this doctor literally with my life. As I grew up and began to understand the concept of the surgeries I had to go through, so did I. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable and empathetic to his patients, he made me feel less insecure and more confident despite my facial appearance growing up. Dr. Milczuk and his staff are the most amazing, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and just overall fantastic ENT staff out there. I owe my confidence and fabulous facial appearance that I have today to them. You can't even tell that I had any birth defects! Dr. Milczuk, if you're reading this, thank you for all you've done for me. Your caring approach to my situation is one of the core reasons that I myself got into the medical field at 16 years old. Now 24 and fully healed from my cleft lip and palate trouble, I am proud to say that you were my doctor. Thank you.

We had an appointment this morning and due to highways around the region closing due to accidents and a suicidal person I arrived about 8 minutes late and my son was about 14 minutes late. Even though the paperwork that we received said that if we were more than 15 minutes late we would need to reschedule and we were under that 15 minutes he refused to see us. His staff was well aware about highway closures and were understanding and informed him of it but he still refused even after we pleaded. No empathy for a sick child. His policy was more important than the health of a child even though we were under the 15 minute policy. The worst part was that he was behind schedule and wouldn't have been able to see my son even had he arrived on time. Stay away. We just moved to Oregon not long ago and I was looking for a new cleft team to assist in my daughters treatments. On our very first appointment, not more than 5-10 mins, Dr. Milczuk almost immediately said she needed surgery. When questioned he became short, would not explain or give any other options and pretty much ended the appointment abruptly. Very arrogant throught the appointment.

Referred to Dr. Milczuk through our family practice for a host of concerns: nose bleeds, enlarged tonsils and sinus infections. It was a general visit for his overall ENT problems. I've never experienced such arrogance & dismissiveness from a doctor. My son walked out & said, he's not a nice person. He interrupted you, he interrupted the nurse & I feel sorry for the people that work for him. I made it a teaching moment in how not to treat people. There's always a silver lining

We absolutely love Dr. Milczuk. He has been with us through many ear infections over the last 7 years. He explains options and his approach allows for discussion and possibilities. My daughter's chronic ear infections could have caused permanent damage, but because of Dr. Milczuk, she is well with no greater difficulties. He talks gently but honestly to her, letting her know the reality of the situation without being scary. He gives parents the information to make an informed decision.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Milczuk for over two years now. He has been very thorough, very detailed, and has answered all questions. He has always been very quick to answer emails and or calls. I would most definitely recommend him to anyone.

My child has been a patient of Dr. Milczuk for over 6 months. He has tried minimum evasive treatment. Which I appreciate. When my child needed to be seen, he got away from what he was doing and saw to it. He ordered tests to be sure we were making informed decisions. Every question we asked was answered thoroughly. I would recommend Dr. Milczuk to anyone who asked.

We were very disappointed after our 2 consultations with Dr. Milczuk. He did not review the medical records he had that were basis for our visit. He was unwilling to explain the condition and treatment to us. The medical issues we face require several medical specialties and we see many providers. Our experience with him was the worse we have ever had.

This was an unbelievable bad experience from the get go where he belittled me and degraded me for asking questions I knew from the start that it was going to be a problem but he was the head of the department and that I thought he would respect what we wanted .That was all ignored I told him many times and even have documented paperwork that states I did not want my daughter to be cut in the neck and he assured me that he would go through the throat. They never came out and told us anything just that the surgery was going as planned. In the end a surgery that was not life threatening ended up being an invasive non needed huge cut in the neck. This was never even discussed with us. I would never go to this Doctor he is awful with the worst God mentality that I have ever seen. We are doing all we can to prevent this from happening to others. Please go somewhere elseI only have one star because I have to rate something or it won't be documented. I come from a family of Doctors and I know his behavior is unexceptable He should not be able to practice medicine
