Dr Kaplan was my oncologist from 2009 to 2020. He is an exceptional doctor and human being I owe to him the fact that I am alive today.

An amazing doctor who was absolutely brilliant and present for his patients. His retirement from clinical practice is a great loss. He is the best. Now doing research and writing. What a fantastic doctor. And a truly great human being.

I had early stage breast cancer in 2003 and with his help I am still here today and thank him every day for my life. Love the guy!!

Dr.Kaplan has been my personal Physician since 1990 and my Oncologist since my Ovarian Cancer diagnosis in 2017. Dr Kaplan is very caring,answers questions, shares new treatments,advocates for new treatments with insurance companies, responds to my Chart messages, calls with test results. Dr.Kaplan has cared for my parents,my husband, and other family members...with to kindness, compassion,and all of his medical expertise. I am blessed to be in his care. The best of the best, My family and I adore him, he is so smart and kind!!!

I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Kaplan as my doctor. He is careful, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. He spent the time to review my records and put my mind at ease.

Best doctor anyone could imagine.

First met Dr. Kaplan in December of 1982 when he informed me I had non-Hodgens lymphoma. 6 months of chemo and 1 month of radiation I was on my way to 24 years cancer free. Unfortunately in February of 2007 he informed me it had returned. He also told me I had 2 to 7 years at most. He has worked his magic for me again. I'm almost 12 years into this fight and would not want to be without Dr. Kaplan on my side. He is caring, compassionate and always available. All you have to do is pick up the phone and call. Hard to imagine a better doctor could exist. Intelligent, warm, caring, accessible, and absolutely lovely to have by your side during cancer treatment. No one could be better.

My first oncologist told me to put my affairs in order with my stage 4 blood related cancer diagnosis. I heard from my community that Dr Kaplan was superlative Hemotologist. I am thrilled to say that was 16 years ago and here I still am. This man is relationship oriented, focused on you as an individual , incredible as an oncologist and someone you can trust!!!!!! I have been going with my mother to her appointments with Dr Kaplan for 5 years as she is in recovery from cancer. He is the most amazing doctor. I truly feel that part of my mothers good outcome has to do with her full trust and respect for this outstanding doctor and amazing human being.

I'm befuddled to see Dr. Kaplan's hig rating. Maybe he is just past his prime and tired. I began seeing him on advice of a friend but from the get-go I found him to be disinterested, patronizing and outright rude. He never took the time to get to know me or discuss my disease. He prescribed a new medication but never filled me in the follow up. Once he made me cry, walked out of the room, not to be seen again! He needs to be put on the shelf or glad handing the board, not seeing patients!

Dr. Kaplan first and foremost is enlisted in the outcome of your care. He is in it to win it and will accept nothing less. He helped me out through the emotional impact of hearing those words,"you have cancer" to mounting and effective plan to put that horrible disease into perspective, mount a logical plan of overcoming it, and insure as best as anyone can that it won't return. Dr Kaplan is an amazing doctor that gives 110% to his patients. Besides being extremely knowledgeable, he asks the right questions and listens carefully to my responses. He has greatly exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate in recommending him to friends, relatives or colleagues.

He is warm, caring, unpretentious, accessible. ALWAYS returns his own phone calls,(no matter how late), he is very reassuring, and.....TOP OF HIS FIELD! He is among one of the ONLY reasons I do not/have not returned to California, as he has been, by far, the BEST HEMATOLOGIST I've ever had, bar none.
