Dr. Heather Joy Shenkman

Dr. Shenkman is an amazing doctor! She saved my husband’s life after he experienced 2 heart attacks. She is very caring , knowledgeable , responsible and organized. She takes her time to explain what is occurring , and that you receive the care you need. She never rushes you if you don’t understand something and will gladly re-explain the topic to you. Thank God she was my husband’s doctor.

Absolutely courteous and most attentive doctor and staff ever! This doctor saved my life without unnecessary surgeries. Honest and kind human being who is not after profits, but following up patients’ well being. God bless you Dr. Shenkman, thank you for being so caring.

Dr. Shenkman provided me the absolute best preventative cardiac care knowing I am genetically predisposed to heart problems. She definitely knows her stuff and practices what she preaches. She does not shove her healthy living views upon you. I am so pleased with Dr. Shenkman.

With her spiked bright red heals that she wears into the exam room and her "Vegan MD" License Plate that she needs to photograph and share with the world via social media , it is clear that this doctor is more into herself than she is in helping her patients. This assessment became more apparent when she refused to listen and/or care about her patient's history and/or concerns. She makes quick judgements without listening to the facts and became defensive if her opinion is challenged, or if additional historical data is provided. I am a firm believer that my health is in my own hands; therefore, I need a doctor with whom I can trust and converse. I did not find this to be the case with Dr. Shenkman so I will definitely be seeking another opinion when it comes to my cardiovascular health.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Heather listens attentively and show concerns for her patients. She ensures she covered all the details during your visit/checkup and follows up on your progress

She was my cardiologist for a year. I found her excellent in every ways. Emphasizes lifestyle changes (exercise, diet) to improve heart function, but is not a fanatic about it. Unfortunately left for another facility. Happily my clinic has other well-qualified people.

Dr. Heather Shenkman did a great job by placing a stent in my heart hence she saved my life. She has a very friendly approach, she always listened to my questions, issues and concerns and answered in detail with patience . Her office staff members also were/are very friendly and helpful. The nurses at Dr Shenkman office were nice, I went to visit her office because I had heart palpitations, I went to her for the 2nd time and I was not satisfied with her. She keep telling me that there's nothing wrong. However I feel that I didn't get the help I needed from Dr. Shenkman. My first visit with Dr. Shenkman exceeded my expectations. Having no medical coverage for 5 years I was eager to find a doctor on the same page with me regarding my health goals going forward. Dr. Shenkman was attentive and listened to my concerns with plenty of suggestions and feedback. Together we worked out a health strategy that will allow me to resume an active and health life. Her staff is efficient and pleasant on the phone and in person. The wait times were short. Her office is clean and well-lighted. Dr Shenkman has an amazing, personal manner and is very understandable. Not typical in with many doctors. My father is 85 years old and can require a certain amount of patience to cover some deep material and she does very it very well. We highly recommend her!
