Dr. Heather Michelle Keene

I visited Dr. Keene for a routine prenatal appointment and she was dismissive of my symptoms. She didn't listen as she offered irrelevant solutions. She also read my ultrasound report incorrectly during my visit.

My scarring has minimal bruising and is healing nicely. I saw a lot of the OBGYN team during my pregnancy and probably had 4 appointments with Dr. Keene. I've seen Dr Keene for years. And I have always liked seeing her. I am comfortable with her and she is easy to ask questions. Never had any issues during procedures and with two IUD removals and re-insertion. She is a lovely lady and I will continue to see her and recommend her.

She was cold from the moment she entered the room. My first real in person appointment at 12 weeks. There was no discussion about how I was doing. There were no questions about if I was having any symptoms. Notes from the doctor stated I was negative for back pain which is not only incorrect but was not discussed during the appointment. Multiple notes about my breasts which were neither examined or asked about. Notes indicated i am not depressed, anxious, or nervous however,the topic was not discussed. Multiple other notes stating I am negative for that weren't asked about or examined. No measurements taken of the baby during ultrasound. Doctor seemed extremely rushed and was only in the room for about 10 minutes for a pap,ultrasound, pelvic exam, and to administer glucose drink for glucose tolerance test. I am very disappointed and upon reading other reviews, I no longer want this doctor anywhere near me. She was cold from the moment she entered the room. As a woman who is childfree by choice, my experience with Dr. Keene was very negative. She suggested to me over and over during my IUD procedure that someday, I will change my mind and that I will probably need to come in before my IUD needs to be replaced to have it removed because I am at an age where I will have kids. She did not take me seriously when it came to knowing what I wanted to do with my own body. Childfree women are forever having to defend their choice and their certainty, not just to family and friends, but to those we’ve designated to help us maintain our health. It should go without saying that whether or not we intend to have children, we deserve a health care experience in which we’re heard and respected, but that’s not always the case. Wonderful, knowledgeable doctor. An expert in her field with a great bedside manner. She has a wonderful staff. The DaVinci method makes your surgery recovery time very short and less painful than traditional surgery.

I had never had a surgery before and when I found out I needed a cesarean, I was pretty scared! Dr. Keene said the right things beforehand making me feel more comfortable. She then did an excellent job on the procedure! I healed quickly and without complications. You can barely see the scar! If I decide to have another child I will ask for Dr. Keene!

I am still dealing with the repercussions of Dr. Keene's botched c-section. Seven years ago she nicked my bowel while performing a C-section. She never mentioned it either. I only found out after major pain and going to a new doctor who requested my medical records and found it noted in the report. She took my son, what she thought was a few weeks early, ended up being 6 weeks and he too is still dealing with issues regarding his early delivery. She also tried to pressure me into having my tubes tied instead of "making my husband have a surgery". So glad I didn't cave and didn't let her do it, who knows what issues I would of had from that. I wish I would have had a different surgeon and a different outcome with my delivery. This experience changed my life forever. She should be answering phones not performing medical procedures. This is the second time I have had Dr Keene. The first time was when I discovered I had a uterine fibroid which required surgery. This was almost 5 years ago. The experience was positive and I found the entire process of scheduling appointments and the surgery easy and well communicated. It is natural that this year, when a different situation presented itself that I thought to be under Dr Keene's expertise again for an ovarian cyst that required surgery. The doctor's professional ism and demeamor are great. The reason for the low marks is the unneeded stress that exists throughout the entire process of trying to schedule any appointment for initial consultation, surgery dates, and for post opp appointment. I left messages multiple times over multiple days, called multiple times to speak with someone in the office to be told that the scheduler was out for the day and would not be in until the folllowing week and would call back (which more often than not did not occur). It is sad that the organization of the people in charge of scheduling is so poor. If you are serious about wanting to use this doctor, please be prepared to be diligent on making many follow up calls to ensure that you are able to get an appointment. I love dr. Keene she is the most honest, sincere and thorough dr I have had. I had her for 2 of my pregnancies the 1st I lost unfortunately but she was very kind and informative about what happened. My 2nd pregnancy went well I did have complications and was informed and consulted about everything. She always had time to discuss my concerns. I did end up having a csection and was so scared at the time and she was there for support. The csection went well and barely can see my scar. Still a patient with her and shes still amazing! There are tons of issues with scheduling at the new office but once you actually talk to her assistants you can usually get in alot faster. Would never choose another dr. I love dr. I do not have any complaints about this doctor specifically; rather, I received horrible customer service in the recurrent attempts I took to schedule a routine anual exam with Dr. Keane, who was recommended to me by a family member. I personally re-scheduled one time in May. I was called by a receptionist to re-schedule due to a conflict of Dr. Keane’s three times. I expressed irritation to the receptionist the third time, who responded with, “You have re-scheduled several times,” and was the opppsite of apologetic. I will never attempt to schedule with them again; there would be zero trust in the appointment actually occurring. I don't give any stars to doctors who cause infertility in their patients, especially if they are OBGYN's. But, it forces me to choose at least 1, so it's only there so that I can post this. There were so many reasons I would have given Heather 2 stars during my pregnancy: 1- twice saying "she" or "her" in reference to our baby when we didn't want to know the sex of the child and then not addressing it- so awkward... so we thought maybe we were having a girl and it ended up being boy... 2- pressuring me to induce (which I didn't have to do since I went into labor naturally), 3- after having daily non-stress tests and everything being normal, 4- generally not answering questions thoroughly, and 5- not advocating more for my health given my blood loss post-birth (she should have conducted an ultrasound IMMEDIATELY to discover the retained tissue and operate right away)... But, all of that pales, in comparison to my reason for given her ZERO stars: First, she ignored my concerns that I was still bleeding profusely and in a lot of back pain for weeks after birth (which she did not attend; her colleague ended up attending it)... then, finally ordering the ultrasound to find what she could have found in the days after giving birth, and ordering a D&C, without ANY mention written or verbal of the risk for infertility. Then, conducting that D&C BLIND, without any ultrasound guidance, and with over-aggressive sweeping of the entire uterine cavity, ultimately destroying my uterine lining and endometrium. Cut to 10 months postpartum when I started cycling again and my periods were light and short, very abnormal for me. Shortly thereafter my research and self-diagnosis was confirmed: Asherman's syndrome and complete infertility caused by the D&C, which was done far too late, too aggressively, and without the appropriate standard of care (under ultrasound guidance, with stent, and follow-up!). She ruined my life. The only saving grace is that my adopted son is now in my life because of this horrific set of events. But, not until after 4 traumatic surgeries, countless procedures, miscarriage, and 6 years of personal, financial, and physical turmoil. DO NOT CHOOSE DR. KEENE. I had a horrible experience with this doctor. She is nice, but has no clue what she is doing. I delivered my 3rd baby with her and she didn't know that all of placenta was not delivered which turned into a 3 week fever. She just kept prescribing me antibiotics to fix the problem until I demanded an ultrasound in which they confirmed retained placenta. She then did a D and C where she punctured a whole in my uterus and I almost bled to death. it goes on and on- DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR

Dealing with painful ovarian cysts and waited a month for my appointment only to be called 15 minutes before walking out the door to be told my appointment had to be rescheduled and they can't get me in for another 3 weeks... despite the fact that there are several doctors in this practice! I'm sure if I'd have cancelled minutes before my appointment they'd have charged me for it. Found someone else who could get me an appointment in ONE week! Sorry I chose this place first. I really like Dr. Keene! I like her staff and feel like she has been there for this entire 39 weeks of pregnancy. Thank you Dr. Keene see ya soon I hope.

Dr. Keene is amazing. She delivered all three of my children and has been my OBGYN for over 8 years. She is calm and professional. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing doctor.

Dr. Keene & staff are sincere, patient & professional! As a health care provider myself, I am highly critical when served as a patient...I told them my semi-urgent needs - they got me in to see her as new patient SAME DAY, surgery occurred w/in 10 days & post op care was superb. Professional, used my time efficiently & sincere! I am thankful for her & her staff!

Dr Keene is amazing! She took as much as as necessary to make sure I understood what she was suggesting, I have, to take care of my particular situation. She is extremely professional and caring. That is why I am taking my 14 year old to her.

Love Dr. Keene! She is knowledgeable and forthright, exactly what I'm looking for in a doctor. Being newer to the Longmont area, I was relieved to find such a great doctor so quickly!

I have been going to Dr. Keene for years. I was so disappointed in the Essure procedure that she attempted. It was not successful. I felt like she did not care. Not a lot of good bedside manner.

Dr. Keene saved my daughter's life after a hard birth story. Thanks to her knowledge and quick acting, my daughter was born safely and is a happy kiddo. Dr. Keene guided us through the whole pregnancy with compassion; helping us make the birth choices that were right for us. We went to another doctor first who had a terrible bedside manner--immediately listing all the risks of having a child over 35. That doctor scared us instead of listened. We found Dr. Keene soon after and were so happy.
