Dr Bains saved my eye sight…… I’ve been going to him for 6 years now. He is absolutely amazing. Caring and takes time to explain everything to me.

He is an awesome Doctor and his staff love him.

He’s very knowledgeable and explains things well. However, for a practice this busy they don’t have appropriate parking. How they expect elderly people, some with walkers, to park in a grassy and uneven lot and then traverse a street is beyond reason. My mother is unsteady to begin with, so the parking situation is a deterrent and had I known before coming here, I may Have chosen differently. It’s a shame because he’s such a good doctor. Dr. Bain is awesome!!! He repaired my husband's detached retina.The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!!!!

Takes time to tell me what is going own. He is busy but takes the time anyway.. I feel confident in his ability

Came her with a wheelchair hound elderly resident, the office is very small with an unusual amount of patients flowing in and out. Over 100 patients no way they can properly be seen. 9:50 appointment and it is now 11:45....????

Most people don't like the wait time. I am glad to see again in my right eye.Dr. Bains is a very skilled and knowledgeable retina specialist and he is trying to help as many people as possible. The hours I have spent in his office are all worth it. I would recommend him to anyone. He also has a great staff.

Dr. Bains saved my sight. I was legally blind in my right eye due to previous retina detachment. After thoroughly examining my eye, he told me that the surgery would be helpful. Another retina surgeon in Tyler had reattached the retina although sight was not corrected. Dr. Bains cleared my vision in that eye with surgery. I am so grateful to him and highly recommend him!

Doctor Bains saw me in his office after doing surgery all day and repaired my torn retina, he is a caring individual

Dr. Bains restored my eyesight. My retina had detached and then reattached by another retina surgeon. Later, the sight went bad. I was legally blind in my right eye. After Dr. Bains examined the eye, he stated he could take care of the issues. Surgery was successful! I highly recommend Dr. Bains.

Been waiting to see him for over 4 hours. Has been this each visit.

Friendly and professional staff. No drama! Dr. Bains performed a NO NON SENSE examination. He will be performing surgery on my eyes soon.

Average wait time to see the Dr is over 4 hours. Then, he spends less than 10 nminutes. The office, while courteous though distant, is run so inefficiently that there is no respect for the elderly on their canes, walkers wheelchairs being shuffled all around. It is a cattlecall. Could drive your family to Dallas or HOuston to see a doctor, have a nice lunch and drive back faster than you can get through an appointment in Tyler or Palestine with Dr Bain. It is shameful. Not ebough chair

We got to the appointment at 10:00am and it is 2:32 and we are still waiting.

Always overlooks and always there for four hours are more

Dr. Bains is excellent and saved my dad's sight. But be prepared for crowded waiting room, congested parking, and very long wait times of 4+ hours.

DR. Baines has been treating both my eyes to save my sight. I have PDR and had a severe detached retina, eye bleed., 2 vitrectomy. He has brought my right eye back from total focal blindness and is now working to prevent my other eye from a repeat. He has used 2 laser types and VEG-F eye Injections plus a myriad of other eye drops and procedures. Dr. Baines is second to no one and is a outstanding A+++++ Doctor with a outstanding staff. I went to Heaton Eye Associates first where I was told I had retinal tears in both of my eyes and if i hadn't come in I would more than likely be blind in 3 weeks. I was then sent over to Dr. Bains asap, he saw me within the hour and told me that I did not have tears in my retinas at all. My vitreous fluid was pulling on my retina is what was causing my visual disturbances. He is an absolute genius. He reassured me and i feel much better about my vision and things in general!! Dr Bains successfully repaired a large macular hole in my retina. My vision improved from 20/400 to 20/50 in 8 weeks post surg. He is a responsive, compassionate, highly skilled professional. There were a couple of long waits to see him, but I never minded & it reminded me of his expertise in this field & his dedication to help all his patients in the E. TX area. He travels certain days of the week to help accommodate his patients, which was really appreciated after eye surg & no driving.

As a doctor he’s great! But the return office visits/follow ups are over scheduled to the point people end up waiting.6 hours or more! There are elderly people in their 80’s waiting this many hours and that breaks my heart!

I came to see Dr. Bains in 2009, having only one eye, which had a tear in the retina near the optic nerve, Dr. Bains did an extensive exam, and told Me He would try to save it. He had to do a surgery almost immediately. After about sixty trips later, numerous laser treatments I can still see. Another Dr. screwed up My cataract surgery misaligned the lens holding the pupil wide open , but My retina is still in stable, and I can see due to God, and Dr. Bains care . Highly recommend.

I take my dad to Dr. Bain's for treatment of macular degeneration. Each and every time we go for a visit, we are in the office for a minimum of 3 hours. Today, he had a dialation, exam and a shot and it took 4 hours! My opinion is that he overschedules his appointments and his patients end up being in his office for hours at a time. I can't believe that all retinal specialists treat their patients this same way.

Awesome doctor. I would very strongly recommend him to anyone with retinal problems. He leaves no stone unturned.
