My sons were patients of Dr. MIller's years ago for many years. Dr. Miller respected me as a caring and intelligent mother. One day, I asked their office for recs for depression therapists for one son. Instead of giving me recs, he insisted that I bring my son in for a depression screening. This would have only triggered my son, plus I already knew he was depressed, screening was unnecessary. Unbelievably, Dr. Miller, still not giving names of therapists to call, threatened to call Child Prot. Serv. unless I had him screened - even though I was trying to find him a therapist. The shock and stress of this threat - esp. when he'd always shown admiration for my brains, were severe and horrible for me & my family. I think he was either feeling very controlling and illogical, or he was just covering himself to make it look like they discovered he was depressed. Dr. Lange understood I just needed names to call, but he'd left for vacation and they had no communication. We left the practice.
Dr miller is one of the best pediatric doctors in my opinion. he goes out of his way to explain things, and is concerned for the well being of your child. I have a 5 year old daughter and newborn son and would not have anyone else care for them. Staff doctors, nurses and office staff all seem to care about what they are doing. Only thing i do not like is the saturday hours are located far away in a different office with a doctor i do not prefer, only thing i wish was different.
Dr. Miller has now cared for both my children. A 3 year old and a 4 month old. Along with cosistent high quality care Dr. Miller's was persistent, communicative, and empathetic regarding a condition with my daughter. Without his insight and persistence this consition was resolved where it most likely would still be ongoing.
Would not recommend Dr. Miller due to his poor bedside manner and overall cocky attitude with patients and parents.
