We were very impressed by his approachable and modest demeanor and excellent level of care and skill, and all with a sense of humor, which helps unload tension of the difficult health situations. Dr. Hao Pan is absolutely amazing! I was comfortable the moment I met him and new he was the surgeon for me. He performed a triple bypass and I was out of the hospital in 5 days. My recovery has been nothing short of amazing and I owe Dr. Pan my life as well as my eternal gratitude. I would not just recommend him, I would insist that anyone who asks, go to him. Dr. Pan and his staff are great!! He really does care about each patient and gives 100%. He took time to fully explain what was going to be involved in my CABG surgery and answered all my questions. He is honest and open. The staff was always available to help anytime I called.

Early last year I was diagnosed with severe congestive heart failure and told I would soon need surgical intervention for a malfunctioning mitral valve. I was sent to UC Health's Medical Center of the Rockies, where I was extremely fortunate to meet and be able to choose Dr. Hao Pan as my surgeon. He exceeded all my needs and expectations, not only with his professionalism, his knowledge and experience (particularly in the specialty of mitral valves), but also with his genuine care and respect for me personally. He listened to me, addressed my concerns, answered all my questions (I had many). He took time to explain in detail what my procedure would involve and gave me an honest appraisal of risks and possible complications. HIs confidence in his skills, and in what he perceived as my own strengths, reassured me. Now six months post-op, I've recovered well. I gain strength day by day, attend cardio rehab, and return to my previous interests and activities (as much as a pandemic allows). Dr. Pan will continue to follow my progress and be available for me if I need him in the future. Prior to meeting Dr Pan we were told not to be shocked but he was very young. That warning prepared us for his youth but not for his confidence, knowledge and caring nature. Knowing my husband’s Cardiologist hand-picked Dr. Pan had already convinced us he was the man for the job but meeting him that first time sealed the deal for us! He was upbeat, energetic and very patient. He addressed all of our concerns and answered our questions in a manner we could understand while not talking down to us. He left us very sure that surgery was the best option! He did an amazing job on the surgery and kept us well-informed as my husband began to heal. He made it clear prior to dismissal what to expect as he convalesced and what my husband needed to do to get back to where he wanted to be.
