My experience with Dr. Caspary has been amazing. Working with their allergist has been equally as amazing!
I have the highest respect and admiration for Dr. Caspary. I have been Dr Caspary's patient for many years now and he has always treated me with respect and concern. I have rare conditions besides E.N.T. and it amazes me how Dr Caspary knows about all of them. I have been to many Dr.s over the years from Mayo, Oschner, Penn University, UAB and USF and i rank Dr. Caspary as one of the most friendly and knowledgeable of them all. It is very difficult to find a Dr like him and i feel very blessed . I cannot say this of other Dr.s in this area and I have been to most. I am not one to write reviews but I feel like my experience warrants this. I was referred to Dr. Caspary by an urgent care center in Panama City for a potential abscess behind my ear. After arriving at the office and being told they had no record of the appointment, I pleaded with the receptionist to allow me to see a doctor due to the size and area of the abscess. They were able to get me in. Dr. Caspary said he thought it may be Masitioditis (which can be life-threatening) and that I would need to come back the following day for a CT Scan that would be done in office. I am currently traveling and the office was outside my insurance network so I had been paying upfront. The office said they would call me the next day and let me know the price of the CT Scan. They gave me the price of the CT Scan and scheduled the appointment. Since they mentioned it would be done in office, I had assumed they would also read it in office. When they did not read the CT and sent me home (the abscess has not gone down, there were no additional antibiotics given) I went back in and pleaded again to the receptionist that I would like to see the doctor, that I did not know what to do, and was afraid. At this point, it was suggested I consider going to the ER or make arrangements to go to the ER. Dr. Caspary did not come in the room and instead sent his medical assistant. I ran home to grab a bag for the ER, I lose hearing in my ear and it begins draining. I rush to the ER. I call Dr. Caspary's office at 4:45 to request that the CT Scan be sent to the ER knowing they will need them. The answering service says they cannot connect me to the office. I hang up. Once I arrived at the ER, they immediately took me back, started new rounds of antibiotics, run additional CT Scans, flushed the ear and made me feel safe. Dr. Caspary's office did not follow up with me until days later (after I had already called their office to schedule the follow up). During follow up with Dr. Caspary's office, I let him personally know that I felt the care I was given was less than acceptable. His response was to the effect of, "yeah, I don't know." At this point, all I want to do is make sure I am okay and leave the office. I will say Dr. Caspary did seem more concerned after this and gave me great care from this point on. After my last appointment, I spoke with the office manager who apologized for my experience. I felt that since I was self-pay and had to have the imaging redone - that I should have my money refunded for the CT scan that was done in office. She said she would get back to me and did not. This was at the end of May. I am fine now and continued about my life and had decided to just move on. Then I received a bill from a radiologist for $1200. The office never informed me that they would be sending the radiology report out - just that it would be done in office. The also never disclosed I would be charged separately for this. When I called to find out why, I was told this is normal and that there was nothing they could do. The care I was given at Dr. Caspary's office of Head & Neck Associates of Bay County was unfair and unacceptable. I sincerely hope no one else ever has to go through this type of experience.
This doctor is fabulous! I had serious breathing issues and Dr Caspary did an excellent job with my surgery. I highly recommend him.
Hello, I had a positive experience with this doctors office when it came to professional side of things just not the results of it. The nurses did their job, the place was kept clean, the doctor himself was a nice guy. The audiologist always seemed a bit anxious and kind of impatient or didn’t necessarily seemed like he cared about my complaints for my 3 year old sons hearing. We’ve been seeing this doctor for a few years now since my son failed his newborn hearing screening. After every test we’ve done (usually 3-6 months apart) they couldn’t clarify if my son had hearing loss. But he did have fluid in his ears. So we were able to get tubes put in. After they fell out without any complications they tested him again and still wasn’t able to give me a yes/no if my son had hearing loss. It was going 2 1/2 years and I was starting to get a little frustrated with the lack of results. Not only that I told them that I wear hearing aids in both of my ears as well as my dad, his mother, aunt, and great great grandmother. So I knew there was something wrong because obviously it’s hereditary. And he wasn’t speaking at all and always using hand gestures to either show me what he wanted or to simply get my attention. I started going on play dates with kids around his age. And there was such a huge gap in his vocabulary/speech compared to the other kids. I also told the audiologist this as well. But they still didn’t do anything but tell me to come in if I needed to. Now mind you at the age of 3 kids should know up to 900 words, complete a sentence and point out some shapes, animals whenever you tell them to but that wasn’t the case with my son. So now that my son is 3 years old I said it’s time to put him in headstart and maybe they can assist me and be more aware of what’s going on as well. Well through the bay district schools child find screening program they told me that my son isn’t where he needs to be and sent me to the bay district school audiologist. Which is the same person I saw 20 years ago! So I was super excited because I knew she would remember me and she did and immediately after she tested my son using toy monkeys, boxes to throw them in when she say the word go(I had to practice with him for a week before the appointment.) and he did well whenever I would scream it but not quietly. So it just helped me even more to realize my kid really does have hearing loss and all these years my son is now having to play catch up because of the lack of his old audiologist due diligence. Back to the new audiologist she explained what my sons hearing decibels levels were (severe to profound), used more than one device to test his hearing and even gave him candy(m&ms) to kind of bribe him to stay focus and it worked. She referred me to Nemours in Pensacola to get more of an accurate reading and so that they can help him get hearings aids. And he is being put on an IEP, switched to Springfield ele school to receive speech therapy, an interpreter and an fm system to help him hear his teacher better through a microphone. His dad and I are overjoyed that our son is finally getting the help he needs. My husband has us on his tricare and we had to pay a copay every time I saw Dr casprys office. Now that my son is with bay district school we don’t pay anything. So I’m not sure if it was all a money thing or if the audiologist really didn’t know how to work with kids. I wouldn’t recommend this place for toddlers or infants. Take them straight to nemours after a newborn screening if they’ve failed because they specialize in kids with disabilities like that. I hope this helps someone. Hearing loss can severely messes with your child’s education, speech and simply being able to socialize with his peers or adults. Dr. Caspary is an answer to prayers and I thank God for him. I had been suffering with my tonsils for years and on my first visit to Dr. Caspary he told me I would need surgery. Dr. Caspary performed the surgery and every thing went wonderfully and I have had exceptional recovery. I would also like to say that Dr. Caspary listens to his patients, address their concerns and will give his utmost to the care of the individual. Thank you, Dr. Caspary.
Sinus surgery yesterday and back to normal today. What a great experience all around. Dr Caspary, his staff, the hospital, nurses, worked together to make this a seamless process. Dr Caspary is a highly regarded physician who listens and takes very good care to see that the patient understands. I am so pleased he was my recommended choice.
I am a " complicated case", yet Dr. Caspary and his staff take care of all my problems with ease.
