Dr. Hani Sbitany

Dr. Sbitany is an extremely skilled surgeon, as well as an empathetic and kind doctor. Every visit was consent and trauma-informed, which is crucial for any patient but particularly for breast cancer-related reconstruction. Wait times were low but appointments were never rushed. He was happy to answer any questions and was easily reached with questions or concerns in between visits. His staff and the front desk staff were always welcoming, helpful, warm, and lovely. I would, without hesitation, recommend him to those closest to me if they would ever be in need of breast reconstruction. (Although I certainly hope that's never the case!)

Dr. Sbitany is an excellent surgeon and also a really kind human being. I had a mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstruction, and he was really thorough in explaining everything about the surgery and seemed to want to make sure I had no unanswered questions. I was able to get in touch with him outside of normal office hours during my initial recovery when I had any issues. Breast cancer is stressful enough so it is great to have a doctor I feel really comfortable with, and most importantly, my results from the surgery are amazing.

I’m sharing my experience about the staff who work in his office. I had recent scheduled an appointment for today at 4:15pm, as you can see in the text message. I scheduled it over the phone and with his staff. Last night at 630pm I receive a text message asking to confirm for Thursday at 2pm. I RECEIVED NO CALL NOR A VOICEMAIL BY THE WAY. This morning I called the number in the text message, which is the number of a 3rd party service. After speaking to 2 people on the service line I finally spoke to a supervisor who escalated my matter to their office. FYI there is no office line listed. After about 2 hours, around 12:30pm I miss a call from a number similar to the service. ONCE AGAIN NO VOICEMAIL IS LEFT. I call back the number and it transfers me to the 3rd party service again. They escalate the matter again. Ten minutes later I receive a call from a staff member in the office. She states that they tried to call me the night before (which is an obvious lie since I have no missed calls from their numbers or any at that). I claim I don’t believe it because there was no voicemail left. They have no answer for my response. She explains the doctor has an emergency surgery to tend to so he will not be in the office. I state how is this made possible the night before. Emergencies pop up at the time of or around not the day before. She then states to me “oh so you cannot make Thursday at 2pm then?” PLEASE UNDERSTAND I TOOK THE DAY OFF FROM WORK FOR THIS APPOINTMENT TODAY. She states to me then they will try for another day and I state I work a 9 to 5 job in healthcare in Westchester. I ask for his office hours and she states specifically that he works until 4pm. MY APPOINTMENT TODAY WAS FOR 4:15pm. I claim they are lying about the excuse because my appointment is after work hours. She states he still does work after 4pm. DOESNT MAKE SENSE AT ALL. I ask to speak to a supervisor so this can be escalated because it’s ridiculous how i received no calls nor voicemails and am being lied to. She states that she will let her supervisor know to call me. I NEVER RECEIVE A CALL. I would not recommend this office to anybody because of the nonsense today. Obviously you cannot trust any office that acts like that and can’t leave voicemails when they call. Regardless, they do not call anyways. They just reschedule your appointment without notice. Their lack of professionalism shows and they show no courtesy to the patient/customer.

Dr. Sbitany is the "Michelangelo of Plastics!". Hands down he is a "Rockstar" and did an amazing job with my Breast Reconstruction. Methodical, detailed, artistic, caring and a brilliant surgeon. Very happy and highly recommend.

Office staff is unhelpful and rude. Didn't go forward because I had no idea what the end result would be as Dr. Sbitany was not specific enough during consult or when asked specific questions. Consult is over $800.

He's respectful and very knowledgeable. He listened to my wants and needs . He answerd all my questions and gave me more information than any other dr I'd seen had given me. He was compassionate and empathic as well. I have other major diseases and he came up with a plan to be less painful for me. Thank you Dr. Hani Sbitany.

I chose Dr. Sbitany and am very happy that I did. The amount of the surgeon’s previous experience doing pre-pectoralis implants really makes a difference. He listened carefully to what I wanted, and didn’t want, and why, in order to give me the best result. He made recommendations for size and shape of implants based on my size, shape and post mastectomy skin thickness. All went well, and I’m quite happy with the results. I have complete movement in my arms and chest---free of discomfort.

I really like Dr. Sbitany, His assisting plastic surgeons are sooo amazing too. I have had breast reconstruction surgery with a prior surgeon and it was not done well. Went to Dr Sbitany to have a DIEP flap done and I'm very pleased with him. When you meet him he is laid back, young, and as time goes on with each appointment and surgery you see how smart this doctor is. Very confident in his skills!

Dr. Sbitany claims to have more experience than he really has. He disparages other physicians with more experience. His has poor judgement, low integrity and no real respect for patients.

Do not trust this man. He is dishonest, disorganized and unprofessional. He has no respect for patients and should not be practicing medicine.
