Dr. Guillermo Quetell

Doesn’t listen to patients. Talks over female patients and abused female pharmacists on the phone. I said my stitches feel ripped and I was right, but told for weeks that my pain was normal. Then I needed a second surgery after explant surgery. I didn’t know why I had had a second surgery for about 24 hours after I went in for surgery. Treated me like “hysterical woman” until he found out I am on the autism spectrum and then stop treating me like a full-fledged person altogether. Openly talks about the types of women he likes to gawk at while on vacation with his wife. When he learned the daughter in the waiting room was our only child he asked my husband, “no son?” Talking over me after I called and confronted him about talking to my pharmacist badly was the last straw. I am not fully healed but he should not be a valuated on skill alone even if they turn out looking fine. Two stars because he’s not an unfunny man and also for the women who work for him and are rather kind.

Dr Quetell is fabulous. He performed a surgery for me after a recommendation from my neighbor who is a nurse. I could not have been more pleased with his manner, skill and after care.

My son needed a skin tag removed and Dr. Quetell wasted no time. He was confident and kind during our consult and made my husband and I feel completely at ease. On the day of the procedure he told us he would begin at 8am and he was prompt and ready to go right at 8. The skin tag was flawlessly removed. Later in the day we received a phone call from Dr. Quetell, calling to see how our son was doing. Neither me nor my husband have ever had a doctor call us to follow up after an appointment/procedure. Dr. Quetell is my surgeon for breast cancer reconstruction. I am incredibly pleased with the service and experience I've had with Dr. Quetell and Amy. He is incredibly thorough and meticulous, two important details when having any type of plastic surgery. He also helped save my life and was able to prevent removal surgery when my reconstructed breast became infected. Beyond happy with his work and dedication. I don't have a problem with the way Dr. Quetell removed the growth next to my ear, but he had a strange way of introducing himself when he first walked in with his smiling assistant. Instead of shaking my hand he put on a glove, reached down the front of my pants and shook something else while his smiling male assistant stood and watched. Rather strange behavior on the part of a "face doctor," wouldn't you say? My response to his comment: Despite his denial, I stand by what I originally wrote. On subsequent visits he came in alone and behaved professionally. But to any male patients seeing him for the first time, if he comes in with what appears to be his smiling young assistant, and he puts on a rubber glove while the assistant just stands there smiling as if this is completely routine, I would head for the door. The look in his eye the day he approached me with that glove reflected the feelings of a man in conflict with himself. I believe his eyes reflected shame for what he was about to do, sorrow because he knew this behavior would continue, and a dogged determination to do it anyway because he knew he couldn't help himself. Dr.Quetell is very professional. He takes his time to explain everything to you & if you have any worries he takes the time to reassure you, he is a very patient & caring professional his energy alone will make you feel comfortable.

I have been under Dr. Quetell's care for several years now. From my breast reconstruction to my recent facelift, I give him the highest reviews. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and professional, his kindness and compassion are remarkable. He is generous with his time, a perfectionist with his work and ensures you are comfortable with all decisions made regarding your care. Every visit has been a pleasure.....this includes his wonderful staff. My only regret is that it took me so long to post this review!

I can't say enough positive things regarding my surgical experience with Dr. Quetell. From my first appointment with him to my current status as post-op going on five months, he and his staff have been beyond teriffic. My surgery was quite extensive and complicated and Dr. Quetell explained everything clearly and explicitly and he was with me every step of the way. Every instance that I thought might be a setback, he was able to calm my nerves and explain that this was in the normal course of recovery. His bedside manner was always positive and encouraging and he gave me the confidence to recognize that I was making progress. It’s been about one year since I had surgery and have been 100% pleased with my results. Dr Quetell took the time to explain the entire process; I never felt rushed into making a decision. He was very honest and open but at the same time patient and put me completely at ease. Not to mention his personality which alone deserves 5 stars. Couldn't ask for a better doc or person.

This man is basically the MVP of surgeons.....he is the best at what he does.

Dr. Quetell is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. He is up front and honest, and will not make you feel pressured into a decision. Also, he won’t allow you to have a procedure that he doesn’t think is necessary or logical. I have had two procedures, and am extremely happy with my results years afterward. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends or family. His office staff are friendly and welcoming. You are in great hands with GQ!

On 3 separate occasions my husband (X 2) met with Dr.Quetell. He is very polite , knowledgeable, patient beyond expectation, and genuinely cares about how you feel about the procedure your having and the results. He helps you be realistic in your desire and honest about the outcomes he can provide without guarantee that all always goes perfect. He does promise he will take the best care possible of you.
