Dr. Gretchen Marie Fermann

Dr. Fermann is amazing. She is thorough and compassionate. She took the time and spoke to me about my health and I got involved in a clinical trial that turned out to be the best route for me. Couldn’t ask for better health care!!

Dr. Fermann is the best gynecologist I have seen. I am 59 years old and had a few in my lifetime. Explains every issue I had in intricate detail. Answered my questions in full. She has an incredible bedside manner. I honestly feel I have someone looking out for my health and female issues. This is a rarity and I am grateful. I just Recommended her to my daughter. Dr. Fermann reviewed my test results, contacted me through Kacey, her PA with results and scheduled a consultation. She is compassionate regarding emotional and medical concerns. She referred me to another professional right away to discuss additional options after our conversation. She has a beautiful family of her own, yet continues to share her experience and expertise with patients daily. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Gretchen, Kacey, and Angela in our community. Disappointed after the good reviews. I was in for a follow up from her NP Kasey who is great. When I told her why I thought I was there she said well that’s not what “they” told me. Excellent..She listened and was thorough. I was impressed and felt very well taken care of.

Have been going to this office for many years. Recently my Dr. Retired and another group of staff have apparently taken over or have gained an attitude..... I have never been treated with such disrespect from a DR.'s office. ( rude young people, should not be on phones!)

They were very kind and gave me a last minute appointment right before Christmas. I’m very grateful

I have gone to Dr Ferman as long as I can remember. I will never see another doctor besides her. She is caring considerate and takes a personal interest in your health and well-being. I have recommended family and friends to her and will continue to do so as long as she is in practice.

I was somewhat apprehensive about who my doctor would be when my long time Nurse Practitioner, Tara Crabtree, left the practice. However, Gretchen was excellent to see. She took her time and was thorough in responding to my questions. I truly appreciate her listening to me and making me feel heard.

I do not recommend Dr. Fermann. I went to her only once to get information on hormonal birth control. I had also been experiencing some abdominal pain and high anxiety around my periods. The moment she walked into the room she was very cold and arrogant. The only answer she had for me was to prescribe me the pill. She had no intention of getting to the root cause of why I was there. It took me awhile to feel comfortable enough to go see a new doctor as I feared the same thing would happen again. Fortunately, it did not. There are plenty other excellent doctors in the Cincinnati area, do not waste your time going to Dr. Fermann.

I saw Gretchen Fermann once and NEVER AGAIN. I wanted to speak to her about the menopause symptoms I was experiencing and see if there was another course of treatment. I was told I had been in menopause long enough and the symptoms I was describing were for perimenopause, and couldn’t be. Without doing blood work I was told my hormone levels were in an acceptable range. Gretchen Fermann has no bedside manner and comes off as arrogant. A girlfriend saw Dr Fermann six months before I did and had mentioned she didn’t care for the doctor. I decided to make my own opinion of her and I wish I had never seen her.

I have been with Dr Fermann for several years now and have recommended her to my daughter. Both of us have had surgical procedures and we both felt we were in very competent hands.

I love Dr. Fermann. She is thoughtful and actually funny.

She is the coldest doctor I’ve ever seen in my life. I asked her a question, in her field (menopause) and she said she was sure my general practitioner did blood work and it’s normal..only one example. On my first and only visit with her, when she decided she was finished, she just leaves the room, no goodbye, nice to meet you, take care, nothing. I didn’t realize we were finished. I’m shocked. I felt like a number.......

Dr. Fermann is very thorough. She is always willing to give her time to listen and answer questions.

Dr Fermann is extremely professional and spends as much time as needed to address all of my concerns. Her staff is friendly and I can also get a convenient appointment.

Dr. Fermann is very matter of fact and communicates information well. She diagnosed my breast cancer quickly and referred me to an excellent breast surgeon within days. Also handled a very challenging hysterectomy with good recovery time and manageable pain. She worked around my very inflexible schedule so both surgeries could be done in a timely manner. I highly recommend her .

I have seen Dr. Fermann only a few of times in the past five years. Overall she was pleasant and spent an appropriate amount of time with me. However, during a procedure when I was experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort, I could have used a reassuring gesture or kind word. I was very disappointed that Dr. Fermann never even acknowledged my uncomfortable situation. As a result, I will likely look for a new ob/gyn.

I've been with Dr. Ferman for about 5 years now, and have never had any issues. She's very informative, understanding, and takes the time to explain things to me and answer my questions. The office staff is very helpful and getting an emergency appointment isn't a problem, it might just not be at the time you ideally want, but it is short notice and you can get in. Office is comfortable and in a nice building. I would suggest her to anyone and everyone.
