Doctor smith saw my 92 yo father today. Prior to treating him he took time to explain the problem as well as his treatment plan. After finishing the visit he told dad what he needed to do to improve and even took time to listen to a brief joke. I’m a RN and thought he was great and professional.

What an arrogant guy. Speaks over you, won't leave you a minute to ask a question and rushes out after 5 minutes max. Will never see me again !

Dr. Smith was able to correctly diagnose and surgically correct the issue. I did not observe any "prancing" or unprofessionalism as mentioned in previous written reviews. Doctor and staff were all caring and compassionate. I would recommend Dr. Smith and the facility-BMC. Definitely worth the drive from Brunswick, GA. Dr. Smith repaired a fully torn quadricep tendon, right knee. Fantastic! No complications and great recovery. I always found him to be attentive to my concerns, answered all my questions entirely and took the time with me to make me feel comfortable. Very competent and caring physician.

Hands down the worst place EVER. Dr Smith is AWFUL. More worried about looking pretty and prancing his way around for his mid twenties blonde hair blue eyed office staff & flirting with them than any patient that walks in the door. He cares to hear NOTHING about your personal concerns or care takers concerns. They operated on my boyfriend 2/1/18 & gave “after hours” reach numbers for concerns or problems and NO ONE ANSWERED ANY OF THEM, left voicemails because that’s what you do right ? NO ONE EVER BOTHERED TO CALL BACK, AT ALL!!! Fast forward it was now business hours and I calls not 2-4 times but 6 times to get the receptionist to tell me that it’ll be fine, worry about it when he post op appt comes 5DAYS FROM THEN !! ????????‍♀️ hands down will never ever recommend Dr Smith or his rude awful staff ! Young competent professional staff. Always well satisfied with my appointments.

Dr. Smith did a wonderful Job on my shoulder. I entered PT that same week and was full range of motion by the second week! I truly enjoyed my experience. Thank you Dr. Smith and Team!

It is sad someone gave him a license to practice. He is so totally self absorbed it is comical. Do yourself a favor and go to a teaching hospital. Avoid his entire practice.

Incompetent. After looking at my Mri, rehab, and doing a scope and debridement was the wrong decision had to go for a second opinion at JOI jax where dr Kaplan explained the severity of my shoulder and recommended me to uf health shands gainsville to the center for movement disorders where they did a total shoulder replacement! I respected dr. Kaplan for his decision. I would not ever recommend dr smith to anyone. Extremely happy with my new dr. At uf health!!!

Dr. Smith came very highly recommended by several of my family members who also had wonderful experiences with him. I am seeing him because of carpal tunnel trouble. I had surgery on my first hand about three weeks ago and everything has gone great. He has a great bedside manner and has always been willing to answer any question I had. I have my next surgery scheduled for next week and have no worries at all. He is a great doctor!

i was weary from the other review, obviously someone was upset for a particular reason, but no, this guy is total garbage. If you want to schedule with him for something his staff claims he does and later be referred with the same telephone number you used to contact dr smith, and get stiffed on that referred appointment. this office lied, im out of pain medication, with a a bone about to poke through my skin mind you, and regret for canceling a mayo appointment that was a day later than this

Dr. Smith is a Hit 'n Git doctor...doesn't want to waste his time listening to or taking questions from the patient. He wants to diagnose, tell you what to do and leave. Ordered me to do Outpatient Physical Therapy. I am not ambulatory and cannot leave the house. Twice I requested it, he refused. The third time, my husband drove to his office and explained the situation. He still refused. I am changing doctors immediately in hopes of getting some good medical help.

He has fixed both my shoulder and knee. No complications, minimal recovery time.
