Unfortunately I had a bad experience I was told there was nothing wrong with me and left the office embarrassed in horrible pain I've been asked my family doctor for a referral to IU in Fisher where one surgeon said my problem was severe and called his Superior they immediately told me to stop anything I was doing do not lift or bend. Was in surgery and less than two weeks as I asked for more time to prepare they wanted me immediately

I had a spinal fusion with Dr Hellwarth in September of 2016 and I received care above and beyond excellence. Dr. Hellwarth "listens" to his patients and takes all things in to consideration when planning their care. I have referred numerous patients to him since and will continue to do so. I couldn't be happier!

office staff a bit quirky but Dr Hellwarth was wonderful. Every time, he took the time to sit down and review the most recent xrays, mri, ct scan on his computer with me, explaining all the way what he was seeing. pre, during and post surgical care was fantastic!

I can't give this dr even half a star. What a joke and sad excuse for a dr. My mother saw Mr. Hellwarth a little over 2 weeks ago for a mri on a suspected broken back. His nurse calls a week later and tells my mom they can't give the results over the phone and she has to wait 3 weeks for her appointment. Luckily having a family membwe was able to view her mri and confirm the broken back. This dr has yet to call my mom or give any instructions or treatment. 70 years old & suffering due to him
