Dr. Gregory N Ball

Dr. Ball has been treating my pain from 6 years of Lymphoma cancer treatments. Because of his knowledge and abilities, he is able to keep me from having to live a life on Fentanyl and Morphine through this nerve burnings and freezing procedures. They are amazing and I have not felt this good in 15 years of dealing with constant intense pain. I can't imagine still living as a shell of my existence on those drugs. They are bandaids, yet he has long term relief and I am so very grateful for him and his staff. They are always kind and professional. I would recommend him to ANYONE searching to get off pain pills. He has the answers!!

He had such a kind manner, and I trusted him. But he prescribed me so much Oxy and Fentenyl meds that I was an addicted mess, and barely knew my name for years! He insisted these drugs were not addictive. When they would stop working, he just increased the dosage and I trusted him bc he was a doctor with a motto of, "first do no harm." So, before I knew what was happening, I was completely wasted, and I was so wasted that I didn't even realize it! When I told my adult sons, they told me that those medicines were really bad, so I told Ball that I wanted off of it all. I had become immune to the dosage again anyway, so neither drug was working anymore. But he, nor any of his rude office or nursing staff gave me any advice whatsoever. I was forced to figure it out on my own, and go through withdrawal alone. I cut back ¼ of a pill every 3 days, until 6 months later I was off of them, and the Ativan, Lunesta, and an antidepressant he'd also prescribed. When I told him, he had the nerve to ask me how I got off of it all! Then, his nurse told me that they wouldn't see me ever again, bc I had gotten off the drugs and didn't follow doctor's orders!! That threw me into shock. Anyway, it took another year for my brain to rewire and I was back to normal again. I am furious about the irresponsibility of this so-called doctor! I think he's a quack and no better than a drug dealer! I wouldn't recommend him if someone held a gun to my head!!!

Received a pain pump but pain and condition were ignored for 1 1/2 yrs !! Not interested in my pleas !!!!!

I see Erin Stockwell by-Monthly and see Dr Ball for my Surgical problems. I have been seeing Dr Ball since 2001 . And Nurse Practioner Erin Stockwell for about 3-4 years now I I couldn’t ask for anyone better to take care of my pain problems. Erin has a heart as big as the universe and she will sit and listen to your problem instead of brushing you off and that means so much to the ones that are hurting . As I’ve previously written, Dr. Ball is amazing! He is warm, friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, easy to talk to, giving, wanting to help relieve his patients pain,, period! He wants to help, his warm spirit is felt every time he walks in the room. Just a very comforting sweet spirit and you know , you trust, you believe with all of your heart that he is going to help you. I have suffered for four years now with daily facial nerve pain. Trigeminal Neuralgia and neuropathy that keeps me from being able to work, and live life. I’ve seen 16 different specialist from neurosurgeons to ENT doctors over the last four years. I’ve had 2 brain surgeries and multiple painful test after another and nothing has helped me. Dr. Ball started helping me on day 1 . He scheduled injections and worked hard with appeals to my insurance company. His nurses have as well. On day 1! I didn’t have to call and beg and wait for anything to be done, they were on it from day 1. They are all a God send.

Dr Ball and his staff are terrific. They help you with your pain by providing the best in surgical techniques and practices with no discomfort and they get you in and out in less than 2-3 hrs. Highly recommended.

Dr Ball is a godsend. He is compassionate, and really inspires confidence.

From the front office to the back and lab employees in between. I was treated with kindness. There is such a big stigmatism with chronic pain and pain management, it normally always causes us to feel guilty or ashamed that we have chronic pain and need help. I’ve seen about 15 different doctors, specialist, surgeons.. etc. in the last 4 years , I’ve had several different surgeries, painful test and procedures, gone through so many different medications and had to deal with their side effects. My life has been totally shattered. Today was my first visit with Dr. Ball, I had heard that he was very kind from several of my own patients, being a nurse I always want to know how my patients feel about the specialist that we refer out to. They’ve all said that he was so kind, so helpful, and most said he helped them regain their lives back. I can’t even express how correct they were, he is so kind spoken, his bed side manner is amazing, and I really felt like he saw me, that he felt my misery and really wants to help. I did not feel like just a number or that I should feel ashamed of the fact that I’m in daily pain and need help. Tomorrow when I return to work, I will give all the details to the doctor that I work for and we will only refer to him in the future. People who hurt everyday, all day, need help ! They don’t need to be judged or treated as if they are drug seekers, or be made to feel ashamed. Yes there is an opioid epidemic ( I didn’t get opioids) but even if I did the epidemic and street use has made it so hard for people who are suffering and need help from these medication types to get the medications that would help them to be able to enjoy and live life. The entire office worked very smoothly , everyone knew their job and stayed right on time completing task that were needed done before I seen Dr. Ball. I was so impressed by the stream line, and time management. Dr. Ball has a great bed side manner, seems compassionate and truly interested in helping you. Will explain throughly, makes you feel very at ease before procedures. I don’t know how much to emphasize he is one of the best doctors I have! Might be because he actually helps relieve my pain. He normally does 2-3 procedures a year If I could see him at pain Management other than a NP, that would be my choice! I see him in surgery days only. He is awesome!

Dr. Ball helped me start a pain medication that relieved a majority of my pain. However, he also performed the MILD Procedure on three levels of my lumbar which removed 99% of my pain. He knows what he is doing and so does his staff. Dr. Ball is ahead of all other pain doctors in the Chattanooga Area. A++, He actually saved my life.

A HARROWING EXPERIENCE. I have a degenerate spine and arthritis in different parts of my body from many injuries throughout my 52 yrs. I went to Chattanooga Center For Pain for 2 plus years without a hiccup, when Bill, the NP I had been seeing there decided to leave and go elsewhere. They reassigned me to Mary Gilliand. The first appt. I had with her was strange. She seemed agitated and I could tell right away that she didn't want me as a patient. She immediately started pulling me off of meds (pain meds)...fast. I was agreeable and went along with her until she changed my muscle relaxer to a low dose of another muscle relaxer. I asked to try something else. She refused to change the new med or the dosage. I was miserable. She then told me that I could no longer have my 5 mg Valium twice a day. I asked if this was a new government regulation and she said "Yes". I later found out that this was a lie. I'm still agreeable to working with her, but she turns a deaf ear to my complaints of pain. She then decides that I need a steroid shot. I was and am bipolar with meds that regulate my symptoms. This is documented in my records with Dr. Ball's office. I didn't know it at the time (but Mary Gilliand should have), that you can't give a bipolar person steroids. The steroids sent me over the top with mania and exacerbated my pain, muscle spasms and insomnia. I spoke to the office manager who dismissed my complaints and refused to assign me to another NP. I then came unglued. So I then started back on my Valium to help me with my symptoms. I was urine tested at my next appointment and then dimissed for taking the Valium because I did not have her permission. By far the most caring group of people that I have ever known, from the ladies at the front desk the nurses and all the doctors.

Dr Ball is the best pain management I've ever had. It took several negative experiences with other Dr's & no diagnosis before I found Dr Ball. He has literally changed my life with the proper pain management and the correct diagnosis I've been a patient for 7+ yrs.

Chronic back pain. Paid $467 and had to see a nurse practioner. She was at best sub par.

When seeing Dr. BALL, he spends as much time as you want/need discussing your health and plan of care. He is genuinely interested in helping everyone of his patients. He tailors a plan to your specific symptoms.

If YOU are experiencing pain this is one of the best pain management Drs around.

Wjen you are in real pain, this is the place to go. It is not a pill dispensary and reports and verify your meficine. They use non narcotic first and will find whst alieves your pain. Will so do spinal pain relief.

First time I ever met the Dr.. was m6 first injection. And the nurse practitioner change way to much. When you call you font get a person to talk to. Your able to leave a message and thats it. Once I told then I was unsatisfied with the care the 5 nurse practitioner I seen in a years time told me she would give me a shot and see me in 3 months and I was just in a car accident. She didn't want to hear it.. I walked put in pain and felt like i was put on the spot do no reason.

I have been a patient of Consultants In Pain Management for several years. Dr. Ball has done several types of injections at two different facilities, the latter being in Hixson. This place was outstanding! Everyone was at the top of their game. Dr. Ball is always reassuring as well as top notch! The staff on Stein Rd, Chattanooga operate smoothly and are great! My NP, Tracey is wonderful and has understood my spine issues and treats accordingly. Professional, caring and only does what is needed!

I had cervical injections by Dr. Ball at the Chattanooga Pain Surgery Center in Hixon, Tn. on 9-7-2016. i was treated very well by everyone there. The staff's experience and help with my peocedure was above and beyond what I expected. I would highly recommend Dr. Ball and the staff there over and over again . I had my Stimulation system put in on 03/15/2016 Thank You JESUS an Dr Ball I'm now able to ride my Bic waking up to 3 mile with no pain.Only someday because of the presser I have a little pain I'll live with a little , then my hold life of it Thank you again My life has changed and improved so mush my granddaughter said Nanna can run YES SHE CAN !!! Dr. Ball has been my doctor since 2001. Sandra Yoder is my NP and Sadara is her nurse. Dr. Ball, Ms. Yoder and Miss Sadara are wonderful to work with. The treatment plan developed for me by Dr. Ball and Consultants in Pain Management has greatly improved the quality of my life by adequately treating my chronic pain. I am so thankful for Dr. Ball, Ms. Yoder, Miss Sadara and the caring staff at Consultants in Pain Management. I would highly recommend Dr. Ball for anyone living with chronic pain.

I was never actually able to get in to see dr ball. I waited approximately six months for his assistant Faye to call me with an appointment for an evaluation. I finally had to go to another physician. The people who set up procedures should have to spend a little time in pain and maybe they will be a little more prompt in helping to schedule sooner. Dr ball my very well be a great doctor but I wasn't given the opportunity to find out
