I have been a patient for years and needed Dr Wilentz or anyone in his office to look at a rash on my back . My friend is a patient and she was given 3 prescriptions for steroid medications both oral and topical without even being seen. I too am a health professional and I find his treatment inappropriate in this case.

Dr Wilentz is the best dermatologist. He is beyond thorough and so knowledgeable. His entire staff makes you feel so comfortable. I highly recommend Dr Wilentz.

The first visit I had with Dr Wilentz went very well. The doctor was professional, friendly, and patient with my questions. I had a basal cell lesion removed. He told me it could return and if it bothered me again come back. So I scheduled an appointment for him to check it since it was bothering me....he obviously did not like me questioning his work. He was nasty and abrupt. Im upset with myself that I didn’t call him out on his behavior. I’m a retired surgical RN and I know that lidocaine can be injected in a way not to be so painful. He injected it to cause discomfort. I would never use this doctor again.

The staff is courteous, appointments start on time. Dr Willentz is extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I highly recommend.

I recently went to this office for eczema flares I was having and everything seemed to go well. I received my prescriptions which were not covered by my insurance. So I called the office on numerous occasions to try to have it changed. I left messages for the nurse specifying this was time sensitive due to nature of the flare up and still no luck with a call back. Eventually I received a call days later from the nurse, in which she stated that she was going to send my prescription to a pharmacy to be filled. She did not state that it was a mail-in pharmacy or that it will take up to 7 days to even reach myself. I called the pharmacy later that day and they said that they did not receive the prescription. The office already closed and it was again a long ordeal to even get the nurse on the phone to resend the prescription to the pharmacy. This office STAFF doesnt not care about attending the needs of their patients in a timely manner. I will never go back. So take heed when going to this office. Awesome. I have been to him a total of 6 times and every time I was seen within 15 minutes of appointment time. Once in the room, no more than 5 minutes wait for him to come in. Staff is very friendly and patient oriented. Even had some problems with billing and they resolved in the office immediately while I waited. Great place to be. Now three of my family members use Dr. Wilentz.

I am a fair skinned, blue eyed guy who has lived in South Florida for 40 plus years, so I truly NEED an excellent Dermatologist in my life. Dr. Wilentz' father treated me as a very young man, and Dr. Gregg in more recent years. His office staff is first rate. The setting is convenient. The Doc's bedside manner is perfect. Just called several times for an appointment. Someone picked up the phone and hung it up, I called back, then a fax machine came on. I then called and again, someone picked up the phone and quickly hung up. What on earth is going on at this place!!!!

I have sun damage to my lips resulting in a precancerous condition. Dr. Wilentz prescribed Fluorouracil Topical Cream USP, 5%. His instructions were to use it once or twice daily for two weeks, and if it was too painful, to make another appointment. That was all the instruction he gave me. In reading the Prescription Facts included with the medication, I found that the area needs to be washed and let dry for 10 minutes before applying the ointment. After applying, wash hands thoroughly, even ‘if wearing rubber gloves to apply’. I also called FDA and was advised that Fluorouracil is not on its approved list, and I was advised that the FDA says NOT TO USE IT NEAR EYES, NOSTRILS OR MOUTH. I think he prescribed though knowing little or nothing about the product, and had I used it, it would have caused damage to my lips and mouth.
