About Greg William Pearson
Reviews for Greg William Pearson
Considering your valuable time when booking with Dr. Pearson. My husband and I both saw Dr. Pearson several years ago. Long wait times. My husband had a funny feeling about the staff. Regardless, my husband went back as we were established patients, and I was told that they did accept his new insurance. When he showed up the day of the appointment, they were told they had no record of the appointment and they did not accept his insurance. I have never had this happen, and take valuable time to schedule and check up on this or I would not have scheduled. From the other negative reviews, I consider it a blessing in disguise that my husband was unable to see Dr. Pearson. We will happily take our business elsewhere to somewhere that values our time, is professional, and organized.
I always have a wonderful visit with Dr. Pearson and his assistant. I had skin cancer on my face and he surgically removed it and it has healed so well you can hardly see the incision lines. He worked very fast to remove it and make me as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend him.
I don't mind that he has no social skills but he is the worst. He is a beast/butcher when performing surgery and doing stitches. I struggle with an open wound for months because he didn't do the job right the first time. I have so many lab bills thanks to him. I had to go to a plastic surgeon to fix my problem after months of pain and stress. Find a real doctor. I don't mind that he has no social skills but he is the worst. I have nothing to say but great things about Dr. Pearson. He treated a cyst a year ago or so quickly and very professionally. I also went to his office this winter break and every one was working, on time, and followed the schedule. No concerns or issues to complain.
I am very happy with Dr Pearson, have been going to this office for a long time and seen several doctors in this practice. I’ve had biopsies and abnormal skin issues, which were taken care of and I get checked thoroughly every year. This time I was interested in some “vanity” options and he educated me on several that would be compatible for me. Dr. Pearson has a blatant disregard for his patients. I went in for a severe sore. He didn’t so much as look at it for 10 seconds. He then started rattling off prescriptions with no explanation or discussion. He also implied that I am “stupid” for not wanting to take heavy antibiotics for extremely mild hormonal acne in my late 20s. His personality is “greater than thou” and he scoffs at any question to his medical prowess. Turns out the medications he prescribed have a high risk of causing liver failure, which he never thought to mention to me. Another doctor described his treatment as “carpet bombing a single mosquito”. Don’t see this doctor unless you want to be looked down upon and treated as a lesser human. He won’t take questions, he won’t care about you, he won’t care in general.
I saw Dr. Pearson and his PA over a year ago, just now getting around to leaving a review because I came across several other patients of mine (I’m a physical therapist) who had similarly bad experiences with him. Long story short: he doesn’t take the time to assess a patients’ issues. That is a cardinal sin in the medical world, and I would encourage anyone reading this to think critically before choosing a healthcare provider. It took him and his PA 10 stitches to dig around on my face, that a simple 5 minute assessment could have avoided. I went elsewhere and had a 15 minute procedure (after recovering from the scarring from Dr. Pearson’s surgery) to successfully remove a cyst. It took 4 stitches and healed markedly better than the large incision Dr. Pearson left. I went to Dr. Pearson for my three year old who has eczema, trying to make sure his breakouts were managed and he had some new looking spots and irritations I wasn’t sure about. He didn’t care to get to know us, obviously didn’t care to discuss my concerns in any detail, and it was clear that he didn’t care to spend any more time than was absolutely required of him with us because a kid with eczema isn’t a big money patient. Obviously will not be going back, but also hope this doctor can get better about listening to patients and actually hearing them/wanting to have a conversation. I would not recommend you go here if you want to be heard and treated well.
I went to Dr. Pearson for my three year old who has eczema, trying to make sure his breakouts were managed and he had some new looking spots and irritations I wasnât sure about. From the minute Dr. Pearson walked in, it was clear that because I was never going to be a high paying client of his wanting any of the expensive treatments the office offered that I was not a priority. We waited for around 30 minutes to see him and he spent all of two minutes with us, didnât even bother to shake my hand or say my name, only briefly said hi to my kid, and was very dismissive of my concerns and questions, writing them off, or answering quickly. Specifically, I asked about some dark striations my child had developed on his thigh and abdomen. Dr. Pearson told me after barely looking or listening to me that is was photodermatitis and my child must have gotten lime juice on him and then been in the sun. I told him I didnât remember spilling lime juice over my kidâs entire thigh and stomach and it was something Iâm pretty sure I wouldnât forget, but all he did was double down and tell me I must be wrong because thatâs what it looked like. When I asked if there was anything I should do about it, if I should be worried, or if there were other options for what it might be, all he said was that it was fine, would go away, handed me a steroid prescription for the eczema and said see you next time. This was our first appointment with him and it did not feel like a first appointment should. I asked him about other lotions or creams he would recommend because I donât want to be slathering my kid in a steroid cream all the time and he told me itâs fine to use 2x a day for a month and offered no other alternatives to help manage breakouts. He didnât care to get to know us, obviously didnât care to discuss my concerns in any detail, and it was clear that he didnât care to spend any more time than was absolutely required of him with us because a kid with eczema isnât a big money patient. But as a parent trying to manage it, trying to keep my kid from getting an infection that they then have to have antibiotics for, it can be very stressful. Obviously will not be going back, but also hope this doctor can get better about listening to patients and actually hearing them/wanting to have a conversation. At the very least, I wish he would have offered alternative lotions to a steroid cream that he has seen be helpful and I also wish he had not dismissed me as being forgetful about something to do with my kidâs skin when I am obviously ALWAYS paying attention to it because itâs part of making sure heâs healthy. I would not recommend you go here if you want to be heard and treated well.
Went to Dr Pearson after my prior Dermatologist retired and my records were transferred to Memorial Herman Dermatology. Didn’t spend much time with me at all and didn’t find his work to be near as thorough as my prior Dermatologist. Will be looking for a new one for my next appointment.
I thought he was just ok and will look for a different Dermatologist for my next appointment. My prior Dermatologist retired and the records were transferred which is why I tried Dr Pearson. Did not think the exam was near as thorough as with my prior Dermatologist.
I booked my appointment with dr Greg and I show up for my appointment on time then I waited 2 hour there because his staff for got about me, then the front desk staff put me for inother dr to be seen me and took me 5 min for 2 hour I will not recommend this place at all
Only good thing was the short wait. Dr. Pearson came in, no introduction. Took a quick glance at me and said it looked like contact dermatitis. Then got the lidocaine inj ready and told me he was biopsying It as he was already doing it. Didn't ask me if I was OK with that. I wish we would have discussed my options and started with a topical cream first before taking a chunk of my face/scalp off. Little to no communication at all. I had to ask about how and where to apply the cream and was given no after care instructions of the biopsy site. I do not recommend! Only good thing was the short wait. Was not impressed and will not go back. I went due to a dr referral to get a spot checked. He said he did not have time to address the spot and needed to reschedule for it. Also said it looked cancerous. But spent 20 minutes trying to convince me to get Botox after I kept saying no. Said he had time for Botox which only takes 10 minutes. Yet after going to a different dermatologist that took less than 5 minutes to remove the spot and send off. If I want Botox I will ask for it. Did not appreciate the pushing or the lack of concern as to why I was there in the first place. Was not impressed and will not go back. I went due to a dr referral to get a spot checked. I was shocked at the poor level of technology at this practice, with no electronic patient information input. The front desk clerk said the head guy doesn’t believe in spending on information technology. The sign-in was pen and paper, just like it was 1966. The staff was fine but there is no happiness in this office - not sure why. After waiting 45 minutes, Dr. Pearson finally appeared and was quite condescending about my issue. He quickly shifted the conversation to why I might consider his special laser “youth enhancement” treatment, even though I am 73 years old. Wow! I came away with the feeling this guy is trying to run up the tab, not practice medicine. Good luck. Dr. Pearson never makes me feel like I am being rushed along.
Our whole family - adults and children- sees this group and love them. And even though Dr. Pearson’s office staff is probably very busy with day to day responsibilities, they always take time to be kind and helpful. They have wonderful phone etiquette and don’t rush you along like you are just another number in their day. Highly recommend this group. I've met Dr. Pearson once he seems like a very nice man, first thing I noticed when he walked into the room was his cowboy boots. I am a TEXAS girl that was a win before I even shook his hand. He took the time to listen to my concerns and prescribed me what I needed. Will definitely schedule another appointment with him.

Took almost an hour to be seen for 3 minutes. No real introduction. No examinations just verbal recommendation of a product his office was pushing for 199$ and 40$copay with nothing done. I could have googled my symptoms and got a better diagnosis from WebMd. Do not recommend if you are not CLEAR!!!
The staff is nice, and the wait was not bad. The doctor was super nice and explained things I recommend him.
My first visit to Dr. Pearson's office and I'm pleased. Kristen, his Physician assistant was great as well.
Find a different dermatologist. After 45 minutes I wasn't even shown to an exam room or given information about when Dr.Pearson would see me. It was apparent no one cared if they wasted MY time. Forcing patients to wait excessively among mask wearing, possibly infected COVID-19 people is inconsiderate if not negligent. I made an appointment to see another doctor later that day.
I had the same experience for my son. He walked in, diagnosed and began to spray without warning. Flew out of the room without explaining what happens next. Unbelievable! Very disappointed.
Dr. Pearson diagnosed my basal cell carcinoma and due to it being so large, got me in right away with a physician to remove it. He is a great man who takes cars of his patients!
He literally asked one question, took one look at my face and prescribed me Triluma within 5 minutes of coming into the room, which upon using left my skin extremely irritated and itchy. After using it for about two weeks, the burning sensation was unbearable and kept me awake at night. It left welts on my cheekbones and lower jawline, and it scarred my active acne horribly. I wished he had asked me more questions and at least pretended he cared about my skin before prescribing me such an awful solution. I have been a patient with Greg for over 20 years, even before his locating to Memorial Herman. He has always been thoughtful and thorough. I am also very impressed with Memorial Dermatology office staff, and enjoy my visits. Tom Barnett
From the minute Dr. Pierson entered the room with his assistant, he spent no time talking with me about my concerns. Instead he looked at my nose, said it was pre-cancerous and before I could ask a question there was a hard spray on my nose which startled me. I said what are you doing and they said it was a spray for pre-cancer cells. I had other concerns but I felt that he couldn't wait to fly out the door and told him so. It was obvious he wasn't interested in answering my questions.
I had been a patient for several years. Kept regular appointments. He treated me for "pre-cancerous cells". I moved out of town and saw a new dermatologist. That doctor found "basal cell carcinoma" immediately. This is a slow-growing cancer and it was where Dr. Pearson had been treating "pre-cancerous" cells. He should have caught it when I was in his office just a couple of months before I moved. Please see a doctor that spends more than 10 minutes with you.
They are great! Treat me like family. I have skin cancer popping up everywhere. Thank take care of me and do not make me look to bad while doing it. ( Bad to start , just no worse ) I was referred by my doctor who retired and I am glad he sent me to Dr. Pearson!
Dr. Pearson is very thorough, extremely professional and takes time to listen to you. He has a great office and assistant staff. I'm really glad I found him and would highly recommend him and his staff.

Have been "living" with a very rare form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that tumors and cancer comes to the skin and dermatologists have been keeping me alive. Dr Pearson and his staff are specialists at what they do, and anyone can rest assured that their treatment is by far, in good hands with Dr Pearson. I'm a witness to his skills as a very caring and careful doctor. He was on the money when he diagnosed my blister as diabetes. He has always been a great doctor who follows through. Treats the condition and is not an alarmist . Appointments are open to any follow ups. If you have a concern they will see you. Be patient, your visit is their priority !!
