Dr. Gracia Etienne

Dr. Etienne is the only one I have to do my knee replacements. He is very thorough and very kind and very helpful and explains everything to you and very strong on making sure you do the things so there's no bacteria he's very conscious of his work and I greatly respect him for that. Dr Etienne has been my Ortho doctor for many years. After having 2 knee replacements by him there is no other dr I would recommend. Etienne and his assistant Austin truly listen to their patients and seem to care alot.

Dr. Etienne, is an amazing doctor. He redid my right knee replacement after it got infected because all the components came loose in 2019. 100% better then before. 2022 my knee replacement got infected yet again due to teeth issues I had going on. Lucky nothing came loose so he had to just clean out the infection. Now 1 Year later on Friday January 13, 2023. The top plate came loose due to a hairline crack in my femur bone. This is the 6th time my knee was opened up. Dr. Etienne did an excellent job making the scar look like it was only done once I'd recommend Dr. Etienne to anybody!!! His staff is very well informed, polite, and respectful. Tim L.

Dr Etienne is a caring compassionate surgeon that made me feel comfortable and explained everything that would happen with my knee surgery. From my first visit to my surgery and my care at the the OSS hospital and aftercare I've had nothing but excellent care from him and his team.

Dr. G. Etienne replaced my knee several months ago, and I was very happy with the results. He is not only the best in his field of orthopedic surgery but also genuinely caring with his patients.Before I had a pre-op appointment, he thoroughly explained why I needed this operation by showing me my X-rays and noting what could most likely happen to my one hip and other knee if I chose to do nothing. Dr. Etienne was attentive to making sure I could control my after-surgery pain by letting me know a variety of methods to ease my discomfort from ice, moist heat, exercises, meds, to calling into the office to get any questions answered 24-7. He also noted that even after I am finished with therapy, it is vital to continue exercising my leg and knee for continued optimal range of motion. I wanted a second opinion on my TKR which only has 85 to 90 degrees flexion after a manipulation and 10 months of physical therapy. Doctor is willing to do some restructuring to hopefully improve flexion. Addressed all my concerns. Also has a nice staff.

Dr. Etienne has done five joint replacements for me. His work is excellent and he is the most caring doctor I've ever had. Dr. Etienne has done five joint replacements for me. His work is excellent and he is the most caring doctor I've ever had. He did such a good job when he replaced both of my shoulders, that I was able to continue whitewater kayaking. I highly recommend him. You will definitely be in good hands with Doctor Etienne.

Dr. Etienne replaced my left hip in 2019, he his staff and the hospital staff were phenomenal. I had the anterior approach done, and I was driving my car 4 days after surgery, I NEVER used a cane or a walker. I felt good enough to go back to work in 3 weeks but waited 6 weeks to be on the safe side. I am scheduled to have my right hip replaced in May. I have 100% confidence in Dr. Etienne, his staff, the hospital, and OSS. I would recommend Dr. Etienne to everyone.

Dr. Etienne took his time to explain the hip replacement procedure and addressed all of my pre-operation concerns. I am extremely satisfied with the results of the operation and would highly recommend Dr. Etienne.

Had to have a hip repair, it was bothering me for a very long time. He did a great job on it and I felt much better.

Dr Etienne puts you at ease. He takes his time and does the very best.

I consulted with Dr. Etienne in 2017-2018 trying to get relief for pain in my left hip. He told me at that time, surgery should be your last resort. We tried everything from PT to injection to anti-inflammatory medicine. Eventually I had to succumb to the pain and discomfort and scheduled a total hip replacement. When all was said and done, I had to ask myself, why did I wait so long to have it done. Ten days ago, he replaced my other hip and things are progressing very well. I am confident that when I have completed my rehab, the relief and improved quality of life will be the same as the first one. I can say with confidence that if you are struggling to find relief from hip pain and discomfort, I would highly recommend you give him a call. In addition to his surgical exellence, his bedside manner and his demeanor are to be commended as well. His only downfall is, he is a Terps fan. LOL WE ARE!

Dr Gracia Etteine has performed TKR on both of my knees. I had fast recoveries from both surgeries at different times. 5 and 7 years ago. He is a caring and compassionate Doctor with an excellent ability to resolve lower joint issues. I would Trust him to help any of my family and friends.

I have had a hip replaced and a torn meniscus repaired with Dr. Etienne and I have been very pleased with the results. The surgeries went well, the recuperation was fine and I have no problems. I heartily recommend Dr. Etienne and OSS Health. He is an excellent doctor and caring, personable man.

Dr. Etienne was my 2nd opinion after being told that ‘we would keep an eye on it’ from another provider. I needed a hip replacement and Dr. Etienne said the joint was bone on bone with spurs and quite a bit of fluid came out when he got in there. Pain was so severe for 6 months prior to surgery that I couldn’t function anywhere near normal. Surgery was life changing and I was back to work in one month. Continue to see improvement every couple of days! Thank you Dr. Etienne!

A friend highly recommended Dr. Etienne after knee replacement surgery. I went to him for my severe osteoarthritis pain after seeing my previous doctor for almost a year and still in a lot of pain. Dr. Etienne not only explained in detail my problem but has me on a protocol and light exercise program. I feel like I’m finally getting somewhere! He was very kind and listened and I felt very comfortable with him. So glad my friend recommended him to me! I’m planning to stick with this doctor! Oh and the icing on the cake, he’s been doing surgeries for a long time.

I am 4 weeks into post op total knee replacement. Dr. Etienne and his team are the best! He is busy but that is because his services are recommended and sought after for best results.

Big problem with the person who did the workup before meeting with the doctor. She was disrespectful and condescending and not well informed. Acted like she did not care about my problem. When meeting with the doctor, I can not be sure but I think she spoke negatively about me so he gave me very little attention, little over 4 minutes. My problem is knee pain after I twisted the knee stepping in a hole. NO X RAYS, NO MRI, NO PT, NO follow up. Total waste of time and money which seems to be the only thin they are interested in.

He is a extraordinary doctor. He explains everything to you right up front. And he listens to you. And answers all your guestions. He knows what he is doing and he is very good at what he does. You feel comfortable and safe with him. He truly cares. Other doctors could learn a lot from him.

Dr Etienne is a truly caring and very skilled surgeon. My hip surgery was successful and recovery quicker due to the conservative approach that he uses. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants an honest and skilled surgeon to take great care of their needs.
