This is the first Dr. I have seen in over twenty years who takes the time to make eye contact and speak to me like I am a human being and not a time slot in his schedule. I appreciate his knowledge, thoroughness and concern. As someone who has avoided personal health care as much as humanly possible, I no longer dread a visit!

Gordon Ahlers was my primary care physician for many years when he practiced in Vermont. He was the best doctor I have ever seen; communicative, creative and collaborative, empowering patients to fully participate in understanding their condition and making treatment decisions. Ahlers practiced narrative medicine before it even had a name, is passionate about understanding and treating his patients' conditions, and is a scientist, health detective, and friend as much as he is your physician.
