First time seeing an allergist. Reviews I read before my appointment were good. Facility is nice, clean, masks are worn. Dr. Akan and her staff were quick without being unattentive or pushy. She took time, asked the right questions. I felt safe, comfortable, relived, and hopeful for next steps.
No! Dr. Akan is nearly impossible to reach. Sent messages through the ENTAACARE patient portal and left a voicemail message. No response. Called her office, learned they had switched their patient portal platform and was told I couldn’t gain access to the new portal until I visited the office. So frustrating, especially because I really needed to talk to her about my worsening condition and the medication she prescribed. Now I’m starting from scratch with another provider. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Akan or ENTAACARE to anyone.
Wonderful doctor! Dr. Akan cured my hives, and prescribed the correct combination of medications to alleviate all of the itching almost immediately. She asks pertinent questions, and is a great listener. A very thorough physician. I am glad I found her.
Dr. Akan was wonderful! Friendly & warm, really listened to my concerns and so helpful with my lifelong allergies. I had never seen an allergist before, hate going to the doctors, but she got me on the right course of meds to help me breathe easier! Can't say enough good things about her.

Dr. Akan is a wonderful doctor. She makes asthma and nut allergies easy for my 6th grader to understand. She makes every visit fun!
I have complicated health issues and every time I see Dr. Akan she helps sort them out. She is what a doctor should be! She listens and helps come up with a plan of action. I would recommend her whole heartedly.
I have recommended Dr. Akan to several of my friends and family members. She is very welcoming and nice. She listens to my concerns.
