Dr. Glenn E Esses

Dr. Esses performed a laser ablation on the valve of my greater saphenous vein one month ago and I have a great outcome. He and his staff are awesome and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I was treated very well from my first preop to my last postop visit. Dr. Esses is very knowledgeable and his staff made me feel very welcome.

Have had multiple surgeries by Dr. Esses he is very knowledgable takes time to answer all your questions and ensures that you are at ease and understand what the procedure will accomplish. Excellent bedside manner. Would recommend him to anyone needing vascular help.

My Father had his leg saved from amputation. Proof is in the pudding. I am sorry there are a few bad experiences in the reviews , however, Dr. Esses performed the surgery 20 years ago. Everyone else just wanted to amputate. May the Lord bless him.

Thanks to Dr Esses and his staff i have blood flow to my feet again. I was so scared but they reassured me that everything was going to be fine. He was very courteous and kind not only to me but my driver also. I highly recommend him and his staff

Dr. Esses is the best vascular doctor in the south. Not only did he save my husband’s life, he improved his quality of life by 100%. As well as having superior surgical skills, he also possesses a wonderful bedside manner. He is the only vascular doctor we will ever see.

Dr. Esses is the rudest, most arrogant doctor that I have ever encountered. I transported and attended an appointment with my Aunt today. She has been under this doctor's care for treatment of DVT after being infected with Covid. I was unsure if it was one leg or both, so I asked her. Dr. Esses turned to me and proceeded to deliver a very passionate speech informing me that he was the doctor, this was his profession, and if I have a question, I should direct it to him. I was shocked at his reaction and unable to respond. I lost my daughter in law 2 months ago in childbirth. She left my son with 6 boys to raise. We have all been devastated and picking up the pieces. I was granted guardianship of her father yesterday, there was no one else to take this on. Today I was diagnosed with HTN and Anxiety. After my visit for personal health issues, I managed to pick my aunt up and attend this visit with Dr. Esses. She depends on me. I have never felt so humiliated and berated in front of my family. Dr. Esses....you never know what people are going through. No matter what your status in life, you should never berate anyone like you did today. Your career does not give you the right to be cruel and arrogant. My Aunt has called our family members to tell them how extensively you insulted me today. I really hope that something happens to make you more humble and kind. You are in no way warm and compassionate. The ultrasound tech even giggled when she asked me if both legs were involved and I stated that I'd asked but was disciplined immediately. Apparently she was accustomed to such remarks. I am no stranger to drs. So for me to write a review for one, you know it has to be good. My mom recently had a procedure done on both of her legs. This experience was delightful. They make you feel confident in the entire staff with there positive attitudes and compassion. You are treated like family as soon as you enter the door. I would highly recommend this office, it's fabulous doctor and compassionate staff to anyone. If I could put more stars I definitely would. I am no stranger to drs. Dr. Esses is the best vascular surgeon that we have found. He is caring and takes time with his patients to explain all of your options to correct your vascular problems.

Dr. Esses through his creative thinking and medical techniques saved my life five years ago. He has diligently followed up with my condition and course of care. Personally, he is likewise a true gentleman.

He is extremely rude! Asking a question seems to upset him. I wouldn't recommend him.

Best Vascular doctor ever.. Just had my Nine months check up from aneurysm surgery and everything is great. So thankful for Dr. Esses and his caring staff that took care of me better than I could have imagined.

I am so grateful to Dr. Esses and his staff. I am 81 years old. I was referred to Dr. Esses due to severe open wounds and infection in my leg that would not heal. Dr. Esses performed stint and skin graft surgeries to help close my wounds and kept a close watch to make sure I healed properly. I am up and walking again. I can't say thank you enough for taking such great care of me!

Recently Dr. Esses installed 3 separate stents in my legs. He was able to increase my circulation from 30% to 90%, and now I can walk again without the extreme pain I used to have, or any pain at all for that matter! He was very professional and congenial, and I would rate his staff as the most caring and efficient I've ever encountered. I would recommend him to anyone and am grateful to him for giving me my legs back!

My husband and I are proud to call Dr. Esses our doctor. Jim had 90% blockage in his neck and Dr. Esses cleaned out his artery. I was scared because my father had the same thing done years ago and was paralyzed. When you talk to Dr. Esses you will feel confident that he is the best. He takes time to answer all of your questions, when we left the office we felt relieved. Jim left the hospital the day after his surgery with no pain and no visible scar. Dr. Esses is so informative and very caring. When I had my procedure done I wasn't nervous at all and never felt any discomfort.

It is rare to encounter a physician as arrogant, egotistical and unprofessional as Dr. Esses. He is a liar, and more importantly, he no doubt endangers the health of his patients when his lies clash with the reality of a condition that he would prefer to dismiss or ignore. I would not recommend this shallow cretin to anyone with a serious vascular condition.

Great experience with Dr Esses ! I had varicose vein procedure twice. Dr Esses is a great, professional, caring doctor. His staff is great as well. The procedure/ surgical room is immaculate which was very important to me. I even received a fantastic specialty coffee after the procedure. I live in Lillian, Al and I am so happy with ALL of my doctors from Fairhope, Daphne’s and Mobile !!! My medical care was of great concern when moving here from NY four years ago. I couldn’t be happier !

Dr. Esses performed emergency surgery to repair the radial artery in my left wrist due to a fall. The following morning, Dr. Esses called me personally at home to assess how I was doing to determine if further action was required. He is a very professional physician who genuinely exhibits concern and caring for his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needed a vascular surgeon.

I am an RN who sought the expertise of Dr. Esses for treatment of varicose veins. After consulation and discussion of treatment options, we decided the endovenous ablation procedure was right for me. He performed the procedure today and it went exceptionally well. He is a very experienced, compassionate and kind doctor who did a phenomenal job with my treatment and care. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Esses did a great job with treating my wife's vascular condition. She was very happy with the care he provided and is 100% confident with his abilities as a vascular surgeon. His staff were also very friendly and ensured me and my wife were comfortable. Excellent experience.

Professional, knowledgeable, attentive

I live in Mississippi, and a type 2 diabetic. I have had several bypasses. The local doctors were saying all they could do was amputate (both legs). We wanted a 2nd opinion. Thru a referral. Dr Esses , was very professional, friendly, and certain how he thought these large blockages in both femoral arteries could be repaired. A week later, i was admitted and had the Right leg bypass. Three weeks later, I had the Left leg bypass. Now all pain is gone, Dr Esses saved both my legs! Will recomend

Dr. Esses seemed to be a capable doctor until I had difficulties after a laser procedure. In four return visits to discuss new pain in my legs, I was told my weight was the problem. I had 2 more ultrasounds that were viewed by the doctor, but still told the problem was my weight. I visited two other vascular surgeons that showed me ultrasound results that showed Dr. Esses' procedure had failed. Dr. Esses should have seen this failure and associated it with my new leg pain.

I had very bad Varicose vein on my left leg that was causing me pain. The office was very nice in helping with any questions or concerns I had. Having the procedure helped my leg feel so much better.

I am a pharmacist and stand from 12 to 14 hours in a shift with no breaks of any type. I developed varicose veins with resulting pain, swelling, and fatigue in my left leg over time. Dr. Esses performed a saphenous ablation in his office on my left leg. I had absolutely no pain and almost no bleeding. I walked out unassisted on a Friday and worked 12 hours the following Monday (a 12 hr day) standing all day. I am using Dr Esses again for my right leg and recommend him unconditionally.

Glenn Esses is one of the most responsible surgeons I have ever visited. His staff is incredible and helpful and he is very helpful and does a very professional job. I have recommended and will recommend him to anybody that needs a vascular surgeon

Dr Esses is very concerned about his patients well Being, he takes time to explain their options and to recommend which treatment is best suited for them.

My husband had circulation problems. I was very concerned but Dr Esses staff was great and very professional. We had a great experience and will definitely use Dr. Esses again.
