Dr. Burra repaired 2 tears in my left shoulder. Dr. Burra and his staff were very professional during my whole experience. I would definitely go to him again and highly recommend him to family and friends.

Dr. Burra and his team, Ben and Drew are absolutely the best there is. I have never met more compassionate team of doctors in my life. Always there to help or answer questions. The nurses and office staff are terrific. They explain things in a way that you feel like all your needs have been addressed. The nurses and doctors at the surgical center are gentle, friendly and know their stuff. Everything was running like a well-oiled machine. I would recommend Dr. Burra’s team any day.

Dr. Burra is very thorough, communicates well, and has a warm patient rapport. The staff was very professional and responsive. Great experience overall.

My daughter had pain in her shoulder for 3 years. I told her to get tougher. Eventually we were referred to Dr. Burra. Initially I was intimidated since he's published as a world renowned doctor of athletes. My daughter is a college student, and lifeguards to pay for school. We are not a physically competitive family. But Dr. Burra put us at ease. He helped her to understand that she didn't need to give up her work forever, just for a while while he fixed and treated the damage. He also taught her lifelong skills. He's approachable and an excellent communicator. He listens so well. He employees staff who share his precision, communication and personability. We never waiting in the waiting room but were called back quickly. However, we did spend what seemed like a long time each visit in the exam room waiting for Dr. Burra or a PA. We both highly recommend Dr. Burra for shoulder issues!

My wife, a physical therapist unequivocally recommended Dr. Burra for my shoulder surgery. Over the course of many years, she treated many of his post-surgical patients. She recommended Dr. Burra because she saw that he always gets the best possible outcome for his patients. I too am very happy with the outcome with my shoulder surgery. Working with Dr. Burra and team, everything was easy and efficient.

Dr Burra immediately identified the problem based on symptoms and an office assessment. He recommended therapy and advised us that if his diagnosis was correct therapy would not fix the problem. After not getting the necessary results he performed surgery. 6 months post surgery the pain is non-existent and the mobility is beyond what we could ever have imagined. The patient was not a world renowned athlete, but that didn't change the treatment plan Dr. Burra provided. Getting this patient back to a "normal" life was the end goal and he made it seem important. He took time to engage with us each visit asking about us and sharing bits about his own life. We didn't see him every visit, but the rest of his staff filled in quite effectively with the same personable approach. The real part is that Dr. Burra didn't sugar coat. Up front told us exactly what he'd do and exactly what was expected of us. His communication and skill as a surgeon are equally incredible.

Dr Burra was recommended to me by my son, who is a PT and had shoulder surgery with Dr Burra. Dr Burra and his team were very good at answering my questions and being accessible when needed. I was having issues with both shoulders, so he treat my right shoulder before operating on my left. I’m 72 and five months after surgery I’m again fully functional with no pain thanks to Dr Burra. Dr. Burra has performed many surgeries for me and my family. There is no better orthopaedic surgeon out there. He is so skillful, kind and caring, I wouldn't trust my orthopaedic health to anyone else.

Dr. Burra worked with me for 3 years and was very considerate always listened to my concerns and issues. He did an amazing job with my shoulder for a slap tear and bicep repair.

Would highly recommend Dr. Burra. Surgery went well, and also never felt rushed during consultations both before and after surgery visits. Both Dr. Burra’s assistants, Ben and Drew were equally good.

DR. Burra reconstructed both of my shoulders. They were in terrible shape due to injury. Range of motion is 100%, zero pain and strength is back to normal. He did his fellowship under Dr. James R. Andrews who is the best in the world.

After years of hard use, mostly baseball, I finally tore a rotator cuff. A pitcher on my team told me Dr. Burra really helped him and recommended him highly. Upon meeting Dr. Burra at Hinsdale Orthopaedics, I found him to be a warm guy with a sincere interest in finding the best course of treatment for me. It doesn't hurt that he is very highly credentialed. He, and his highly professional P.A.'s, Drew & Ben, immediately diagnosed the tear. They hoped, as I did, that surgery wouldn't be required. However, it turned out that not only did I need surgery for the major tear in my rotator cuff, but also there was quite a bit of prior damage that had to be repaired. Dr. Burra did the surgery. Every patient is different of course but, although the extent of repairs and "clean-up" was substantial,. I was never in too much pain and, even better, in the first few months after surgery, I regained a full range of unencumbered motion (perhaps better than before my surgery) and have already started throwing (lightly) again. I would gladly recommend Dr. Burra for any type of orthopedic surgery. This gentlemen and his team are consummate medical professionals. Dr. Burra exhausted every avenue of treatment before performing surgery on me. He was always honest with me and provided guidance on the best course of action. I ended up needing two surgeries to fix everything but my shoulder is good as new. I'm grateful to Dr. Burra and his staff for taking care of me and getting me back to 100%. From surgery to our goodbyes, was 6 to 7 months for each shoulder, and I have total range of motion in both shoulders. Dr. Burra or one of his team members contacted my physical therapist about my progress and concerns with my rehab progress. He and his team take that extra step to ensure your progress in rehab. Dr Burra uses the newest technology and will explain the different options you can have for your injury. I had torn up my shoulder and a friend, based on personal experience, recommended Dr Burra. He immediately diagnosed my injury and an MRI confirmed surgery would be necessary. Dr. Burra not only repaired the rotator cuff but cleaned up and repaired a lot of earlier damage. The surgery was a complete success and I quickly recovered full range of motion. I've made many post-op visits to Dr. Burra and his fantastic staff of PA's and they are true professionals. I would recommend Dr. Burra to anyone that I cared about for orthopedic surgery.

I am a mid-20's male who had to have rotator cuff surgery after a shoulder dislocation. I had multiple subluxations and this was my second dislocation. Dr. Burra and his skilled PA's, Drew and Ben, did a very thorough job assessing and educating me on the injury and possible surgery. After the results of my MRI came back it showed I would require surgery. Dr. Burra did a fantastic job. He made 4 small incisions to place the anchors to stabilize the shoulder to prevent any more dislocations. I did not have any complications, infections, or any other injuries thus far (6 months post-op). His staff has always been great at both his Naperville and Silver Cross locations. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Burra is probably the best Orthopedic Doctor I've had to pleasure to work with. He is very concise and very clear about the diagnosis and what the recommended course of action is. While he does surgery, he also see's if a non-surgical approach is better before recommending surgery. I've had Dr. Burra repair my ACL and my torn labrum, and I am confident in my ability to go back to daily activities with even better strength and rigor than I was previously.

I had a very bad case of frozen shoulder that ended up requiring surgery. Dr. Burra was conservative before recommending surgery which was appreciated. He always spent time with me to ensure I understood everything about my medical care. His team (Drew, Ben and the assistants) were always very comforting and thorough. First and foremost, Dr Burra is a skilled surgeon. His communication style is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough. I experienced the same professionalism and caring confidence from his Physician Assistants, Drew and Ben. They are an essential component of patient care when visiting Dr. Burra’s office or calling with questions and concerns. What stands out the most is the EXPERT and INDIVIDUAL plan for my shoulder surgery and subsequent rehab. There is no such thing as a “cookie cutter” approach from Dr. Burra. It was evident that he and his team diagnosed my shoulder injuries and created a surgical plan. However, Dr. Burra has the skill and experience to address any other issues that could potentially arise once in the operating room. Post-operative communication with the Physical Therapist, Jeff Lyon (ATI Physical Therapy), whom Dr. Burra recommended, was an integral part of the success I experienced and continue to benefit from. A very good doctor and his team. After the cause of an accident, I had a problem with the left shoulder rotator cuff tear. Surgery made by Dr, Burra, released my shoulder from pain. I really recommend this doctor to others.

Very professional. Courteous.Knows exactly what he is doing. I had a very damaged left shoulder rotator cuff tear . Technical terminology: subscapularis tear left, long head of biceps rupture,atraumatic left impingement,full-thickness rotator cuff tear. Dr. Burra and his team are outstanding. I had my left torn rotator cuff repaired by Dr. Burra in 2018. When I tore my right rotator cuff in 2019, there wasn’t a moments hesitation about who I would have do my surgery. Both my shoulders are pain free and I have terrific movement as well. I met 2 other physicians who had surgery done by Dr. Burra. To me, that is a bold statement if other physicians are using Dr. Burra.

I had rotator cuff surgery about 10 years ago . The surgery was performed by a highly renowned orthopedic doctor that is also a doctor for professional sports teams in Chicago. The repairs were not successful. Late in 2018 my physical therapist recommended that I see Dr Burra. I had rotator cuff in early 2019 and it was very successful. Dr Burra is the best orthopedic doctor that I have ever dealt with. He has an excellent bedside manner and takes the time to answer any questions that you may have. I am very thankful and highly recommend Dr. Burra.

Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder. I had the repair surgery done by a local orthopedic surgeon. The surgery was not successful, and I continued to have pain and limited range of movement for almost a year. After this experience, my wife and I researched the top orthopedic surgeons (specializing in shoulder surgery) in the Chicago area. Two names came up consistently - Dr. Burra was one of them. I visited both surgeons, and both identified the same problem, as well as the surgical procedure needed to fix it. I chose Dr. Burra because I liked his 'bedside manner' better than the other surgeon's. Since then, in the last ten years, Dr. Burra has successfully repaired torn rotator cuffs (and associated problems) in both of my shoulders. I cannot say enough about how highly I think of him. He is technically excellent, and truly compassionate and caring.

Dr Burra performed Rotator Cuff and Bicep Tenodesis on me. Excellent results. After 6 months of physical therapy I am back to gym and performing all my normal activities without any issues. Dr Burra is a straight shooter when it comes to recovery plan. PA Drew was extremely knowledgeable and a good communicator.

I was hurt on a construction job. I had 3 tears and a chipped off bone in my shoulder. I read the reviews on Dr. Burra and decided to go with him. Out of a 5 start rating I would give him 100. He is outstanding as a surgeon! He is patient, laid back and has a great sense of humor. I had to take a test to see if I had the capacity to return to full heavy construction. Dr. Burra is an excellent surgeon. He repaired my rotator cuff on my left shoulder in December of 2018. He and his staff (Drew & Caitlin) are very caring, taking the time to explain the procedure to my wife and I. They monitored & directed my physical therapy throughout my recovery. Dr. Burra repaired my right shoulder. everything was done professionally and with great care. He did an amazing job on repairing my shoulder with as torn up as it was. Dr. Burra and Drew (PA) are the best! Dr. Burra took care of my husband who had to have two shoulder surgeries after years of working as a laborer and having already had a couple surgeries by other physicians not from this area. He took out bone chips from one shoulder and took care of bicep tendinitis and the other shoulder I couldn't even begin to list all of the things that were wrong that he fixed. By the time the 6 months and both shoulder fixes were over, my husband is as good as new.

Dr Burra and his staff took great care of me. All my concerns were addressed and I was put at ease. If I ever need to seek orthopedic help again Dr Burra is my guy!,,,,

Dr. Burra is knowledgeable, courteous, professional and extremely approachable. He answers my questions and addresses my concerns with patience and skill. I have found him to be very supportive if I am having a problem (with my physical therapy, for example) and I feel that I am getting the best treatment possible from him. Both my pre- and post- operative treatment has left me feeling confident that I am in the best of care.

This Dr Burra is a scam! He gave me a diagnosis for my knee injury that was already 6 months old and asked me to come back in 6 weeks? For what! Then he fails to put in details in my file about my knee which cost me money on my insurance claim. After having my reservations about Dr Burra, Because of my own Health anxieties, i did get a second opinion on my SLAP tear. All the other medical opinions of Dr Burra, and from other former patients, put my mind at ease that i was getting excellent care. He came highly recommended. He ended up performing surgery on my shoulder, and i feel great 5 days post- surgery. Minimal pain, and ive been receiving excellent care. Definitely would recommend.
