Dr. Gilberto Acosta

My husband and I could not be more pleased with drAcosta! I have been seeing him for over four years and now:my husband also sees him. he is compassionate and caring! Spends as much time as needed to answer your questions! he never gives up when dealt with a difficult problem! He just does the next thing possible to help you out of your pain! Unfortunately, I am experiencing severe pain and I called and was told to come right in. I was on the table getting my pain under control within an hour! We couldn’t be happier with Dr. Acosta and I cannot ignore his right hand man Nick! He is like the glue that pulls it all together! He makes sure things run smoothly. We have always been treated with respect and always told that if we need them, just call and they will do everything to get us in asap! What else can we say! thank you Dr. Acosta! You are one in a million! So glad we found you when we left Boston and moved to ft.Myers not knowing any drs. We are blessed to have him in our life

Doesn’t explain nothing about the opioid agreement from another pain Dr. That I disagree with his opinion. Conversation between Dr.Acosta, pharmacy and me was not included. They don’t explain nothing especially when I had to change insurance do to my wife died. The Dr. and pharmacy communication overlapped needs correction.Do to my disability and handicapped.

Excellent Doctor very caring and compassionate he take the time to listen to his patients the stuff as well they give you a Excellent costumer service I will strongly recommend them to all my friends and family

I have been a patient of Dr. Acosta for at least 6-7 years and he is seriously the best doctor I have ever had! He has helped me so much and never gives up trying to help me when a treatment doesn’t work. Nick his medical assistant is wonderful! He definitely goes above and beyond. I highly recommend!!!

Seems more like pain mill. Persuaded to receive spinal injection, which had before in another setting with excellent results, No results here, Why, learned that just did 'cookie cutter" approach into lumbar but not adjusted to where pain was. Subsequently saw different pain doctor with excellent results because was more sophesticated in treatment

I've had sciatic nerve pain for the past 10 years with it becoming excruciating in the past year. I finally had the right combination of insurance coverage, time, and pain to get back to seek help getting it fixed. I started the process in January of the year of Covid and 7 months later I FINALLY got to my appointment for an epidural injection. I was very excited. The day before my appt I got a call from Dr Acosta's office to tell me I still hadn't been approved by my insurance. I called my insurance who told me there was no request for treatment. I tried calling Dr Acosta's office and got no call back. I left several messages all the way up to my appointment time and finally just went in and paid cash. I never did get a call back. I'm still going to my other pain doctor and paying cash there because Dr Acosta didn't want to transfer my medications or even discuss changing my regimen to something he's more comfortable with. I'm 2 weeks since the injection and have had zero change in the pain level. This was really a waste of time and energy to be in the same exact position I was in 7 months ago. The nurse who assisted with the injection was fantastic. I forget his name but I was very impressed by his knowledge of the procedure and bedside manner. I found the office staff to be friendly and helpful. Dr. Acosta has been able to reduce my pain but I continue to require injections as the relief is temporary. I would recommend Dr Acosta for pain relief.

Dr. Acosta is a miracle worker for my debilitating pain. He has walked to the end of the earth to find what procedures will help decrease my pain to give me a chance at a functioning life. He is extremely knowledgeable and actually cares about patients unlike so many other doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Acosta - he treats patients with kindness and compassion. It can take some time to get an appt but it's definitely worth the wait.

I would NEVER go back to this office because of the extremely rude and incompetent office staff, The whole front office needs a lesson in compassion and consideration. Their display of ignorance and poor attitude is appalling. As for the Doctor, I feel Dr. Martinez is a better choice, But I highly suggest you seek a different office because of the staff.

Very understanding to your well being. Takes the time to listen & is very understanding to your pain. The staff also goes the extra mile to make your appointment fast their very polite and thoughtful to your needs. Very accomadating.

I have been Dr Acosta's patient for ten years, and as far as I am concerned he is a Miracle worker. As I have problems with my spine and with his giving me Radio Frequency, it takes my pain level from 8 to 2..., and I can walk and move. The procedure is long lasting. Sincerely, Deborah Fritsche
