Gilbert Sewell Chandler III

I have had a pinched nerve for years. I shattered 3 vertebrates in my lower back in 1980. I have had several auto wrecks with whiplash and was hurt in the coal mines in 1991. I am 64 years old and continuously getting worse.The first time I saw him he took x-rays and stated I had neck and back injuries from the past on the report and said he was giving pain medication. I got the prescription,it was 5mg hydrocodone w/ 325mg of acetaminophen. After calling them back and telling them it was not strong enough and 1000mg of acetaminophin a day was tearing my stomach up, he said he would not increase the dose nor change the prescription. He wanted me to go get an updated MRI which I could not afford. I have not heard from him since. What he prescribed is like giving aspirin to someone that just had a leg amputated. This is one of the most useless so called doctors I have ever seen!!!

Staff does not return phone calls in the manner that they clearly state they will. Chandler doesn't know what he is doing past an issue he's been presented with before or one that doesn't fall into his VERY narrow line of treatment. The only data he is interested in is that which reinforces what he BELIEVES to be the issues. Unwilling to consider alternatives to his own diagnosis OR prognosis. Unfailingly arrogant, callous, and skeptical which is understanding... to a certain degree. Fails to uphold his oath.

Dr. Chandler is great! He always gives me the best care and is always so friendly.

Very happy with my visit to Dr Chandler. Instead of just looking at x-rays and diagnosing me, he took the time to listen to what/how it was affected me and then incorporate it into his treatment plan.

I have been seeing doctor Chandler periodically for over 6 years for lower back and hip-related issues associated with the aging process. He is professional, personable, knowledgeable, and clearly explains the medical issues and the treatment plan.

In the beginning, things were great! I really felt cared for. Now, I don't feel the same. Dr. Chandler is wonderful, but some of his staff, I can't say the same. I have become "absolutely" paranoid everytime I go for a visit. Just keeping it real ✌️

I feel I was listened to and left more informed. There was a hope for flexaril for back cramps. I will say the Gabapentin is keeping a good deal of the pain at bay. The only remaining issue was the cramping. I use ice to help but it is not therapydic for my sleep. Again thanks for you kind professional attention. John Perdue

Dr.Chandler is a super Doctor in the area of Doctor/Patient relationship. He. Communicates very well with the patient and makes sure the patient fully understands where the treatment plan is headed.

Dr. Chandler is an exceptional physician and person. He is professional, personable, thorough explains diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan. He is a brilliant man and TOC should be very proud to have him on staff.

My dad was an anesthesiologist so I well know how a great one should be. Dr. Chandler is one of the best. Both bedside manner and technical skills are outstanding.

Dr. Chandler gets to my highest rating for competent and compassionate care. He listens attentively, studies the test results himself, truly cares about finding the source of his patients ,pain, and is caring. He has performed kyphoplasty on my back which was very successful. His staff, particularly Miles and Courtney, are helpful and remember my name.

Dr. Chandler and his team are the best. We have been seeing him 2016. My husband and I have problems with our backs, hips, etc. thanks to Dr. Chandler we are not in a wheelchair or walker. He and his team are so compassionate and caring. No matter how busy he is, he takes time to listen. If he can’t fix it he sends you to a qualified specialist who can. If the world had more doctors like Dr Chandler, what a wonderful world this would be. God truly sent us to this wonderful Doctor

I have been a patient of Dr. Chandler for several years. Most recently I am being treated for hip and neck pain due to a fall. He is thorough in his exam and explaining the problem and how best to treat it. I recommend him and his staff to anyone that needs to be seen for any pain management issue.

Work comp started me with a different group after 2 years of no relief I was cleared of work comp. I found Toc Dr. Chandler and his group. Though not healed they help me get more rest than I have had in a long time and I can at least function a bit again. I will never go anywhere else. I drive 2hrs for the help I get.

The nurse listened to my concerns and provided a workable solution that day. I appreciate this professional and personal care.

When you feel 100% leaving he understands and is listening too the problem at hand.. that’s why I’m still seeing home going on 8 yrs!! By the way the staff is 100% professionals taking care of me!!!

Dr. Chandler is definitely in the right field of medicine. He is so kind and really cares how his patients feel and how he can help them to feel better. Dr. Chandler is an awesome physician. He works with you to help find the best solutions for your medical conditions. He is the first physician that has made me feel that there are solutions and he offers various options. He is friendly and his office and medical staff are delightful. Dr. Chandler exuded professionalism on several levels with me on my visit. He took the time to listen and answer all of my questions, recommended next steps and set me at ease! As always, the physicians and staff at TOC are the best!!!

Dr. Chandler listens and makes recommendations based on his findings and your complaints. He goes the extra mile to check with your personal physicians to make sure he doesn't do a procedure that might be contraindicated. He has a very charming personality and his office staff is great. My 91-year old mother needed a back brace, and Dr. Chandler and his staff provided one, along with professionalism, so appreciated, and so quick and helpful.

Dr. Chandler has been my doctor for several years due to chronic pain. I greatly appreciate his holistic approach including EMDR therapy. He has been very supportive & knows the hardship that living with chronic trauma & pain does to one's mental health & body. I never have any problems when we go to TOC.

The service was excellent from the time I entered the facility and departed. The staff were courteous and informative. Erika (X-Ray/Radiology) and my nurse was also wonderful. Dr Chandler is everything you would want in a doctor. Smart, compassionate and interactive.

Dr. Chandler carefully assessed my MRI and gave me his recommendations for the best course of action. Tallahassee is fortunate to have such a high level orthopedic pain physician in our medical community. You couldn’t find better care anywhere!

Dr Chandler has been my doctor for both pain management and a surgical option. He has been knowledgeable and courteous in all of my visits with him. The surgery he performed was done with finesse and has resulted in an improvement of my symptoms. He also is willing to listen to you, and answer any questions you have, and did a tremendous job dealing with my own fears and resistances to my surgery and allaying them. Excellent clinician with skill, experience ,and caring in a comfortable environment

The staff at TOC were great. Every step of the process made me feel like they cared about me and did what they could to minimize pain.

TOC has greatly improved its efficiency w/ the use of a new building and the use of technology for checking in and keeping medical records. In particular, Dr Chandler seems equally competent & thorough while remaining kind and patient. He answers questions and fully explains his rationale. Although this was only my first visit w/ him, he came highly recommended and thus far I completely agree!

TOC has been a GodSend since my injury of 11/19. I saw Dr. Chandler for the first time and was very impressed. He didn’t hurt me and is trying to help me get better. God bless him and his staff.

Dr. Chandler has been treating my neck and shoulder and he has made significant difference in my improvement. I can highly recommend him if you have issues with your neck back or rheumatoid arthritis.

Dr. Chandler act as if he wasn't concerned about the pain I'm in and the issues I'm dealing with. I heard he was a good Dr. but here lately he acted as if he was in a rush. I'm praying he gets to the root of my back problems.

Every time I have an appointment with Dr Chandler he listens to me and not on computer making notes he waits until after my appointment . I am so thankful a friend of mine referred me to Dr Chandler to help me get some relief from so much pain
