Dr. Gerald M. Wait

I had good experience with dr wait. He was kind ,you were made to feel comfortable,and assurred you were in good hands. Very funny! Good sense of humor! Love a good sense of humor!

Dr. Wait is a great doctor and skilled surgeon. I had him thru 3 procedures and wish he was still in our area. Very straight forward, seen as rude or blunt by others, is much appreciated in NE Iowa. I had never had any surgeries until I was 40, Dr. Wait calmly guided me thru 3 procedures before her left out local healthcare system. We wish he'd return, many doctors with his attention to detail and surgery skill have retried. Would recommend to anyone that wants their care handled very straight forward and doesn't need sugar on top.

Went to see Dr. Waite for a follow up visit after surgery by another physician. It was obvious that he hadn’t read the chart. He made condescending remarks about the surgeon who did the procedure without fully acquainting himself with the case. Quite rude, casual and a bit condescending when asked questions. I was in health care for 42 years. This is the type of attitude and conduct in a surgeon that I stay away from. I have no idea as to what his surgical technique is but his interaction and instruction to patients is quite lacking.

DO NOT SEE HIM. If you have ANY other options for a surgeon I implore you to use those. This man spent the entirety of his visit focusing on his own physical ailments instead of mine (the patient's). He was incredibly rude, inappropriate, unprofessional, condescending, and is clearly ready for retirement and the pasture. There is no room for this behavior in the medical world. Seek care elsewhere.

Dr Wait is at the top of my list of Doctors. I have seen allot in my life with multiple surgeries. I will miss him. May God bless him and his family. Just a wonderful human being as well.

I had my gallbladder out, awesome experience considering I have panic attacks and anxiety. No episode this at all, tell them how you feel and how you want to feel, and it will be awesome for you as well. No worries.
