I have been Dr. Townsend’s patient since 2006. I am very pleased with the care I receive from both doc & Sarah Bruce. I don’t wait 1/2 a day to be seen, I am talked WITH rather than AT. ZERO stars. extremely unprofessional, dirty, utterly rude, no safety or ethical standards of practice. I would not step foot in this office to save my life. this facility needs to be reported and shut down.

There is no better office in Saint Augustine.

Doc has been our family doctor for many years. He is a great diagnostician and spends time talking to us. We are so lucky to have his practice in St Augustine.

Not concerned with patients well being no matter how long you have been with them!!! Completely disgusted with the lack of concern and pro activity during the norovirus epidemic!!!

Dr T has been taking care of me for approximately 20 years. It’s pretty amazing when your Dr knows you better then yourself. Absolutely trust him with my life!!

Dr Townsend has been my doctor for over 15 years! He is wonderful! Always try’s his best to get to the root of a problem. Very thorough, talks to you as the patient, not at you. Highly recommend Dr Townsend to others.

I found Dr. T. from an article he wrote in the Beach newspaper about 14years ago. I chose to visit and was so happy. He and Sara Bruce are the very best you can find.

best doctor i have ever had!!!

Love Dr. Townsend and his office staff. Dr Townsend goes out of his way to listen to my concerns. He takes the concerns seriously, makes suggestions, and supports me in making a decision about my own body. He does not hold himself in higher esteem than his patients, seeing them as real people with real needs. He does not spend the appt time with his head buried in a computer screen as I have seen othe physicians do. He knows the larger medical community well and has made several very appropria

Office staff has become exceptionally rude. His wife / office manager runs the doctors decisions. Poor knowledge base of the doctor. Nobody's in there, there's a reason for that.

Moved here from up north a few years ago. Tried several different doctors until I finally found Dr. Townsend. What a God send. He is a kind, knowledgeable, professional who demonstrates extreme integrity in all he does. I also see Sara and I can not say enough good things about her. She is a great diagnostician and also has a way of making a patient feel at ease and validated. UPDATE: after 2 years - Only saw Dr. Townsend for my first visit - I expected a home town sort of Dr. It's a good office if you do not have complicated issues - certain things get lost in the sauce. I prefer a more holistic approach to medicine...support staff is OK - but do not seem to be very dedicated - Last time I was there had to ask about my last blood test - and it was no where to be found. Little things like that have made me lose confidence. As we get older it's important for healthcare professionals to really be on their game. Wife likes them for colds and what not. He is a very approachable Dr. He listens and asks the right questions. Very impressed.

Dr. Townsend is knowledgeable and kind. If you need a doctor, you cannot find a better one.

Dr Townsend is patient, listens, and is willing to talk to you about what's happening with your health. You're not a number in his office. You're a human being.

The receptionist and office manager are cold and rude! The office manager also happens to be the doctors wife. Very very unprofessional!! Save yourself the aggravation and find an office where the staff is compassionate and kind.

Dr. Townsend has been my primary care physician for almost five years. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and provides excellent care. He actually takes the time to listen and is proactive in his approach. His staff has always been professional and I always get a return call if I need to contact a nurse between visits.
