I read all of the reviews and thought this was the worst doctor’s office ever, I even asked my friend are you sure it’s this office. Good thing I used my “OWN” mind and wanted to see for myself. My appointment was 9/9/2019 at 11am, I got a call around 10am and was asked if I could reschedule because Dr. Ross was at the hospital, of course I said yes. When I got to the office I felt none of these reviews. The receptionist was nice and gave me great directions on what to fill out. I sat for about 10 to 15 minutes (if that long) before I was called in the back. Everything went well. Dr.Ross gave us so much helpful information and he made me feel comfortable. I rarely write reviews but I had to shine some light to all of the negative comments. I had a great and positive experience and I will recommend Dr.Ross and his staff to everybody. Rude receptionist who spoke down to me as if I was an uneducated child. Hospital referred me to office due to bleeding and diagnosed with a Threatned Miscarriage/Abortion. I’m too high risk according to the receptionist and they refuse to see me to refer me to the high risk OB I need. High Risk OB won’t see me till I get referred from Dr. Ross because that is who I was to follow up with per the hospital. All the low income clinics (not knocking those clinics, great that they exist) cannot see me till mid September and I need to be seen ASAP according to Dr in ER. Receptionist was a cold, heartless person who shouldn’t be in that line of work if she can’t show an ounce of compassion! Disgusting behavior!!!! My baby was due on July 1st and I had been going to this office for the entirety of my pregnancy. When I went into labor I was informed that Dr. Ross and his wife (the other Dr.in the office) were on vacation and the midwife and hospital physician would be delivering my baby. A complete stranger. When I had my post delivery checkup I asked Dr. Ross why I was not informed that he would be on vacation while he had a patient due for delivery and his response was rudely “do you expect me to work everyday?” I mean how unprofessional and uncaring can you get? Dr. Ross chose the wrong specialty if you ask me. If you have a baby due anywhere near a holiday RUN FROM THIS PLACE! They don’t care, will not inform you they will be out of town and you may end up with a total stranger delivering your baby, like I did. My experience with this office was fabulous!! Pregnant with my first child I had many questions and concerns and the staff was very helpful and willing to answer all my questions. Later in my pregnancy I did have some complications. I would call daily with questions and nurse Linda was so patient with me she never made me feel like I was a bother to her. She would even go out of her way and call to check up on me, she really made me feel important. I really love this staff! Definitely recommend this office to my friends expecting!! Dr. Ross is amazing!! When i moved to Florida and became pregnant Dr. Ross was referred to me. I decided to give him a shot. I am so glad I did! He is extremely friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. When my daughter was born I hemorrhaged afterwards and almost died due to extreme blood loss. because of Dr. Ross's great medical skills I am still here to care for my 5 children. He dropped everything he was doing at the office to rush to the hospital to save my life. Thank You!

I didn't have a good experience with them. They told my baby will be approx. 7 lb and He was 9.3 lb. Resulting in complications and my baby staying at NICU for 10 days. Not happy at all.

I saw the abysmal 1-star rating on Google, but decided to give them a try anyway. I took an afternoon off work, and was not seen, because I did not have a physical copy of my insurance card, even though I printed an ID card off the website. They refused to run my secondary insurance insurance without the physical card for the first insurance, and insisted I reschedule. The woman at the front seemed as if she was annoyed by my general existence. Safe to say I won't be rescheduling.

Treated like a new patient even though i had been a patient there for years and have had surgeries. Am now going through my 2nd miscarriage and they wouldn't allow me to talk to a nurse because i'm "new". The receptions there are snooty and rude and make it a point to tell you, "you're new" at every given moment. I'm in pain both physically and emotionally. How dare you. I agree with one reviewer regarding Carol. I had a terrible experience with her on the phone. She speaks to clients in a rude and belittling way. Someone please explain to her that pregnant women are emotional and going through enough already and need to be spoken to with some care and respect. She is completely unprofessional. Its a true miracle that she still has a job. The only shining star of this office is the Nurse Practitioner Lisa Mallard. She is phenomenal! Sweet, caring, professional and really listens to your concerns. She is the only reason I don't give this office 1 star. I agree with one reviewer regarding Carol. Very bad, Carol the "supervisor" was extremely rude and mean. I would never trust a care giver when I was greeted with such an unprofessional first impression. Don't trust this facility

Unfortunately my experience at Coastal OBGYN was not a positive one. On the day of my appointment I was called about 2 hours before, and was informed that the Doctor had an emergency at the hospital. I understood and agreed to come in later that day, however I was told by Christine the girl in the front that I should call before I come in, just to check if the doctor was in yet. An hour before my appointment I called more than a dozen times and would get a message with no options to speak to a live person. I realized the staff all took a lunch break around that time which explained the phones all being routed to a different system. I was hopeful that someone would pick up at some point since it was already 1:30. Of course no one would pick up, and I would keep getting the answering service. As I was calling over and over, I was also driving to office, taking the chance of the Dr, not even being there. Not once did anyone care to call me to let me know if the doctor was in or not. Its like they dont care over there. I walked in, I was about 15 minutes late, and I literally called the office line from my cell phone in front of Christine, and she heard it was going to an answering service. She then picked up her phone, and dialed, and of course the phones all rang, and she gives me this look like ..Oh well, the calls are coming through, with her dry stare. Then she says, well the Doctor cant see you now, since your late, and he is very busy. Mind you, I just drove almost 45 minutes there leaving work, and 8 months pregnant. Its also very hot outside, and my feet were slightly swollen. Doctor Ross would not see me, and told them to put me in with his Nurse instead. I did not go there to see his Nurse, I went there to meet him -the Doctor for the first time, since I was considering transferring from another facility. I am having a C- section and need to feel comfortable with the person who will be performing the actual surgery. I thought Doctor Ross was very unprofessional for not seeing me. He showed no interest in taking me on as a new potential patient. His staff was rude, for not showing any kind of compassion towards me when they saw that I had driven there in vein. Instead, they told me that I would not be able to see the Dr till the following month. I cant believe how I was treated there. Shame on the Dr, and his staff. This is not how you treat patients, especially when they are very pregnant, and feeling uncomfortable just moving around to begin with. I do not recommend this place to anyone who wants a staff that is friendly, and caring. They are robots over there, and all need a class on office etiquette. I left there feeling very sad, and disappointed. Way to go Coastal ObGyn! Please learn from this, and try and change the way you treat folks who are bringing you their business. Show that you care, or at least pretend that you do. Unfortunately my experience at Coastal OBGYN was not a positive one. Appointments do go quick but quality is poor. Referred me to lawnwood twice and was shuffled out the door then seen by the docs at coastal and had the same result. Finally took myself to psl hospital and they immediately found a uti which could have caused preterm labor and sugar in my urine. Upon requesting records transfer i was greeted with rude staff.
