I've had Dr. Morris as my primary care physician for over a year. I came in from a different insurance program; so he had to review quite a bit of medical history before he saw me, including colonoscopy results, and cardiac test. He seemed to have a good grasp on all of the details when I saw him. He answered all of my questions, and prescribed medications as needed. I'm also very happy with the staff. They were able to transfer the medical records from the previous insurance program; so they had records of all medications, and access to lab test results. Dr Morris, This morning my wife called your office and talked to one of your nurses to refill if my Diovan320 with 25mg of Hydrochlorthiazide. She was told that they could not refill this medication since they did not order it and to call Dr. Marks, the diabetic specialist who prescribed the medicine. My wife called Dr. Marks office and talked to the nurse. She call a little later and told me that they do not refill any prescriptions and it is the responsibility of the primary care physician Dr. Morris. I had to call back again your office and talked to one of your staff who was not very pleasant and somewhat arrogant, and when I wanter to talk to her supervisor, she hung up the phone to put me on hold again for a long time. To get a renewal of prescription, a patient does not have to go through these kind of runaround. It is unacceptable in any medical office, especially in great institution like Scripps. It is unfortunate a great institution like yours have such a low level of poor response from your staff. If I need to make a complaint to the Director of your clinics, I would be glad to do that, if you think you could not talk to your staff. I appreciate your response. Thank you kindly.
