At first Dr. Levy was great. Then after a period of time Dr. Levy and his staff started forcing me to see in Nurse Practitioner. I have now said no four time to seeing Dr. Levy's Nurse Practitioner. I found out that the Nurse Practitioner was making medical decisions without talking to Dr. Levy first. I was shown disrespect by his staff and now have started to question if Dr. Levy is making the medical decision are if his Nurse Practitioner is making the medical decisions.

Dr Levy is kind, he explains everything that needs to be done according to each individual case.. many of my family members are Dr Levy patients...and they all say good things about him..he cares about a person, he doesn't just sit there for a minute..no he listens to me and my concerns..I recommend Dr Levy highly for any in need of a good cardiologist. Dr. Levy is kind and attentive. He explained himself fully and made sure I understood next steps. It was a great experience!

Very inattentive. Every time I see him, it feels like I'm meeting him for the first time. He never prepares for my appointments or reviews my test results in a timely manner. He is usually late for my appointments and rushes though them as quickly as he can. I do not recommend this doctor.

First time visiting doctor Levy and he was very thorough and his staff was very welcoming and listened to all my concerns

Best doctor ever! Dr. Levy is very caring and takes his time to make sure you are getting the treatment you need. I am extremely lucky to have found him! His nurse, Mariette , is awesome as well.

1st visit after suffering a stroke. Still getting used to needing a cardiologist. Visit went well, waiting to see how everything plays out.

All the staff were professional and caring. Dr. Levy took the time to look over the paperwork I brought in and took my B/P manually. I felt unrushed and comfortable even when the monitor was applied.

Dr. Levy and Heart & Vascular staff, deserve more stars! Also, Dr. Levy and his Assistant, Mariette, have always gone "the extra mile" when I needed their help! Their bedside manners exceed anybody's expectations. In other words, they are the BEST!

Disappointed. Staff made it difficult to communicate with him. After changing my medication Dr Levy raised my blood pressure from 120/70 to 165/90.

I see Dr. Levy twice a year monitor my heart due to heart disease in my family and sometimes for pre op clearance. He is always thorough, compassionate, and caring. He is very personable and takes interests in all aspects of your life. I would highly recommend Dr. Levy as their cardiologist.

Dr. Levy also saved my life in 2003 and I have trusted him with my cardiac care ever sense. He is very thorough and I trust him implicitly. In fact, I told him he couldn’t retire until I was dead! I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Levy is the best. He saved my life 4/04/2014, I was having a heart attack he put two stents into my heart and saved my life. I had been flown in by helicopter from our towns St.David's Emergency Center where the helicopter took off from to fly to Austin in record fast time. Straight to the cath lab, where they were waiting for me, he is my Hero. Its been five years now. In my follow up visits his office staff and nursing staff have been great. Dr. Levy quite honestly saved my life! I came to the hospital in the midst of a heart attack and was lucky enough to have Dr. Levy as my surgeon. Despite being on the front line of the latest technology in his field, Dr. Levy still takes the time to explain everything to his patients. I know, because I have followed him out-of-network to remain his patient. You couldn’t do better in this part of the world! 10/16/19

Amazing physician with excellent bedside manner

I, along with my two brothers-in-law, always schedule our visits with Dr Levy in Dripping Springs at about the same time. All three of us are very pleased with the amount of time and attention given us by Dr Levy and his team.

He was on time & an awesome doctor. He listened and asked a lot of great questions. I felt very good after my appointment.

Dr. Levy is always patient and caring. He listens carefully to us and then asks questions to help with the best course of treatment. We have every confidence in his expertise. His PA Jessica Brown is also great. She also listens and works hard to make us feel confident in the course of treatment. Nurse Mariette Mathews is also wonderful. When we call she always returns our calls in a timely manner. She carefully checks with Dr. Levy or Jessica to advise us. We really feel cared for with this group. We highly recommend this group. Doctor Levy is the best. Last year I quit golf early because I felt tired and I saw Dr Levy. He found that I had 4 major blockages of my heart. He recommended surgery which saved my life and he continues to monitor my recovery. I am continually thankful to Dr Levy and his staff for excellent cardiac care.

Dr Levy is an outstanding Cardiologist. After a recent stress test an abnormality was seen followed by an angioplasty. He discovered blockages and recommended bypass surgery asap. I am currently on the road to a full recovery from a quad-bypass. Thank you Dr Levy.

My name is Steve Weldon, and I suffered a heart attack in July of 2015 while traveling on business in Alabama. I received (3) stints. I started seeing Dr Gerald Levy in Austin, TX when I returned home. Under his care my health has been excellent. Dr. Levy monitored me with blood tests, stress tests and echocardiograms annually. My last stress test I completed 10 1/2 minutes and thought all was well. Dr. Levy was concerned because I experienced a ventricle tachardia at 9 1/2 minutes but otherwise knocked out the test! He recommended another angiogram immediately. during the angiogram he discovered that a stint in my main artery was sized wrong and barely attached. He repaired it and most likely saved my life. My blood numbers were excellent and the ventricle tachardia could have been ignored as an anomaly, due to the fact that I did 10 1/2 minutes on the stress test. I will always be grateful for Dr. Levy's thoroughness and attention to my health. I highly recommend Dr. Gerald Levy.

Great doctor!

I don't usually write reviews but my experience with Dr. Levy's Marble Falls office staff needed to be shared. I had an appointment for March 29th at 9:30, but a few days prior his office called to see if I could re-schedule to a later date and time, I agreed-ed and this was not the first time they asked if I could re-schedule one of my appointments. I showed up early like normal, as I was checking in I could see what appeared to be two pharmaceutical reps talking and caring on with Dr. Levy's support and front office staff while munching on Chic-fil-a. (Probably the reps brought) The Marble Falls office is small, you can see and hear a lot. The waiting area had quite a few patients waiting. After waiting 45 minutes I went up to the check-in window to ask how much longer, as I am standing there the reps are still there having a good time with the office staff. I told the gal that I went out of my way to re-scheduled per there request, her response was "might be another 15 minutes". I did not have another 15 minutes, I requested that someone needed to call me and I left. Jessica Malcolm (Austin office manager) called me later that day, I told her what had happened and what I saw and that I didn't appreciate having to wait that long especially re-scheduling to accommodate them. Jessica re-scheduled me for April 26, 2018 at 9:45am, I arrived a little early like normal. The gentleman checking in ahead of me stated he had a 10:00 appointment. This time the waiting area was thin, before the gal could finish checking me in they call the gentleman with the 10:00 appointment back. Meanwhile as I am waiting a few other folks come in and check in and they are all called to the back. I had enough, went up to the window and asked why are all of these other patients that one I know had later appointment being called back and the others that arrived way after I did, The poor gal had the deer in the head light look but another gal sitting in there says" They Had Appointments", I replied "What Did I Have?". After that neither one of them had anything to say. I requested that Jessica give me call and walked out. I couldn't wait for Jessica to call me, I called her, told her again about my disappointing experience. While we were on the phone, she is looking in there system and says that I was roomed 15 minutes after checking in, I assured Jessica that I never left the waiting area. It is very obvious that the office staff is dishonest trying to make them look like they are doing a great job by lying to there system. The office staff are rude and incompetent and I bet that I am not the first or last person to be treated like a second class citizen. Dr. Levy is a great doctor and have appreciated all he has done for me through out the years. Hope HCA / St. Davids can under stand why it is necessary for me to find a new doc.
