Dr. Gerald William Friend

We love this clinic so much! All of the staff are so friendly and patient! Dr. Friend, Dr. Scott, and Dr. Meek have taken great care of us so far and my children both love going to the dentist! Would recommend to anyone that has a child who gets nervous about dental work!

I am not one to post my opinions or reviews but please read this. Conway Pediatric Dental Group did some work on my daughter today and she is now scared of the dentist. My daughter is 4 years old and very tough. She told the dentist multiple times this morning that it was hurting and he would not stop. Also during this procedure she had something in her eye and would not let her get it out because he would have to start over doing what he was doing if he stopped. I visited this dentist nearly two decades ago. I recieved the worst filling/experience ever. I saw a story about a terrible dentist, immediately remembered his name, and decided to see if he was still in the business of "pediatric oral mutilation".

Dr Friend did dental work on my 5 year old, and his awesome associate helped my niece as well at a free dental clinic in Springdale, Ar. I am here to thank them both first and foremost, as both were difficult cases. My daughter had a bad experience at a pediatric care clinic two years prior, and would go into hysterics when anyone even muttered the word dentist. She was afraid of being put into pain as she was on her first experience. So, Dr Friend was very gentle, patient, and kind. The work was done in a jiffy and my daughter is no longer fearful! And the work on my niece was just amazing as well! Two caps done in a quick and painless manner! We will be seeing these sweet fellas from now on! What good hearts to each volunteer for this event. My 5 year old daughter had been having substantial tooth pain and we had visited another dentist that was local as we do not live in Conway. They were not able to resolve the issue and wouldn’t pursue her case any further. Dr. Friend in Conway was highly recommended and we traveled to see him. He worked with us and found the source of the problem and my daughter is pain free after months of struggle. He was one of the kindest, most professional and most diligent Doctors I have encountered. His staff was as well. I highly recommend Dr. Friend and you won’t find better care or more personable and professional dental care for your children anywhere. We are very thankful. I went to him as a kid and he was absolutely horrible. It took me years to finally be able to go to the dentist again!

A boy on our baseball team chipped his tooth severely and Dr. Friend came in on the weekend to take care of him. He took great care and did a stupendous job. He stressed prevention and use of a mouthguard which all the kids on the team will never be without again! The staff at his office are wonderful and help provide nurturing care while getting their teeth worked on. OMG!!!!!! This office has THE BEST dentists working for them! Dr. Friend is the most kind, gentle-hearted dentist I've ever met! My friends kids absolutely loved him and his staff! I will ALWAYS recommend Dr. Friend to everyone who has children! Now I only wish he saw adults as well as children. :) FIVE STAR dentist for a FIVE STAR office!!! Dr. Friend really cares about the patients he treats and doesn't push for unnecessary treatment like some other dentists do. He really understands kids. (and the parents too). He lets the parents stay in the room during treatment which lets me to see everything going on with my kids. His staff is great too and really tries to help you understand your insurance.
