The best neurosurgeon around.

Dr. Markarian is amazing! He does not sugarcoat anything. I have an extensive history of back surgeries and infection. I was extremely overweight and needed my L3-L4 and L4-L5 vertebrae fused. I was given a weight loss goal prior to surgery, which I achieved. The weight loss was for my benefit so that my surgery would be easier, heal better, reduce infection risk and decrease risk of damage to my hardware. Not to mention the weight loss is beneficial to my overall health. I am very grateful to Dr. Markarian and his team for what they have done and continue to do for me. Dr. Markarian is amazing! Not only is Dr. Markarian an amazing neurosurgeon, but he has an incredible bedside manner. He takes the time to answer any questions and concerns you may have during your office visit and before and after surgery. He is also incredibly humble considering his expertise and position. Totally dissatisfied with the amount of time spent during both initial consult visit & follow up appointment after testing completed. He did not review my images (MRI & CT) with me, at the follow up appointment. All medical specialist I have seen prior, took the time to look at images with me & discuss all options. I found him to be especially condescending & dismissive.

This doctor listens to you and explains thing so well. I had a rare condition TM and he was one of the few Drs. I have met who really understands it!

Dr. Markarian did my back and neck surgery. I trust him 1000%. He is very caring and listens to you. I would not go to anybody else.

I had back surgery done 3 years ago. July 30 , 2018 I had neck surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Markarian. He is compassionate, caring and one great, great genuine doctor. I am so glad he was recommended to me.

He is a fantastic surgeon and he truly cares about his patients! I would refer him to anyone who needs his care. Dr Markarian and his staff are awesome and they took great care of me before, during and after surgery!

Dr. Markarian did 2 of my cervical surgeries. He is an Excellent Neurosurgeon!! A very professional physician. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Had my surgury January 25th. 2 weeks in an I feel amazing already. Still not 100% but its been only 2 weeks. Incision looks great. Painless. So glad he did my surgury. I had a disc herniation at C4-5. When he got inside I was worse off than anticipated but he was able to fix me right up.

Dr. Markarian was referred to me by a friend in the medical field, when I first had lower back pain several years ago. He is at the top of his field- a very professional, learned neurosurgeon who performed surgery then, and two times after. With his knowledge and operating skills, and my determination to completely follow through with physical therapies, I was quickly back on my feet after each one. Hopefully, our paths will only cross in the airport or at the theatre down the road! Beth C.

Dr. Markarian has been my surgeon for all three of my neck surgeries. He is an excellent surgeon. When he talks to you, he looks you in the eye, and you can see that he truly cares about you.

My husband was life flighted from mercy medical to Akron general this doctor operated without my consent in which never introduced himself not one time to me or my family . Husband had a massive brain bleed was put in life support without my consent. Then a assistant doctor came out to tell us give it up he's brain dead contacting my attorney such heartless unprofessional this has been !!

Never came to see me in hospital the four days I was there. Had a doctor not even in his practice call to say I was being discharged after telling me I needed back surgery. Very unprofessional, doesn't care about patients. I would not recommended any of these doctors.
