Worst Doctor I’ve ever experienced by a mile. He literally came in and started delivering my physical to me while looking at another chart and calling me by a different name based on a different persons’ age/weight etc. He staffs the place with 25 year old attractive females for obvious reasons, wears skinny jeans etc thinking he’s the man. Then he has the audacity to ask for a premium to be part of his boutique practice. AVOID THIS FRAUD AT ALL COSTS, you would be better off going to a CVS minute clinic. Well I wish I could say that my experience with Dr. Papanicolaou’s practice has been mostly positive, but unfortunately that’s not the case. I’ve had this doctor for several years, and my experience with them has been extremely mediocre, up until recently, when I had a very serious condition which they completely marginalized and disregarded; to the point where I ended up having to go to the emergency room. Dr. Papanicolaou’s practice recently switched to a beautique model, which basically means if you don’t pay a premium fee every year, the Doctor doesn’t really have any time for you, and you’re relegated to meeting with the Nurse practitioner whenever you go in. The Nurse assistant there is very nice, but if you have a primary care physician, you should be able to meet with the physician often enough that you can develop some kind of rapport with them. Not here, however. I’ve had Dr. Papanicolau for years, and I’ve only met him once….when I first became his patient. Recently I had a condition develop, which was very serious and could have potentially been life threatening. This practice completely misdiagnosed my condition, and had me undergo a procedure that was completely unnecessary, and fairly dangerous. (I understand that doctors get paid for these procedures? If so than it makes sense as to way they pushed this misdiagnosis on me, in order to have this procedure done). After this unneeded procedure, my condition was not getting better. I informed this practice, and they couldn’t have been any more lackadaisical in their responses. They took literally days to respond to me each time I reached out to them, regardless of how serious I told them my condition was, to the point where it felt like I was bothering them, because I wanted some guidance with my illness. I eventually had to go to a hospital emergency room because at no point in time did I get the impression that this practice was taking my illness seriously. It must be mentioned that the office staff here has always been nice, and so has the nurse’s assistant. But you go to a primary care physician to be seen by a doctor, and if that doctor will only make time for patients who pay him a premium fee, than it’s time to look elsewhere. Also, the practice of making patients undergo unneeded , potentially dangerous procedures just to get your referral fee is absolutely atrocious. A patient’s health must come before any consideration of how much money you’ll make off of procedures and prescriptions. Ultimately, I cannot recommend Dr. Papanicolaou, as I’ve felt completely neglected by the person who was supposed to be my primary care physician, and even more so when my serious illness came up, and they showed 0 sense of urgency. You’re better off going to a physician who can make time for you, and take your health concerns seriously. This guy is a kook. Almost killed my mother. Yelled at her for showing up without an appointment when she was crying and near death from a misdiagnosis. Said he didn’t want to send her to Boston to another doctor because it would effect his taxes/ insurance negatively. He became a doctor for the money, not to help people

Dr. Papanicolau has been my primary care doctor for the past few years but it wasn't until I contracted Lyme's Disease that I experienced his engaged, compassionate and dedicated care first hand. He has been an expert when I need him to be and a humble collaborator as we work through new solutions together. He listens as well as he leads. I could not be happier with my care or feel more supported than I do. He is truly a dedicated and caring doctor.

My children & I have been patients at Cornerstone FP for a number of years now. Dr. P has become more like a friend than a doctor. Both he & my NP, Susie Clare, take the time to know what is going on in my life, ask questions, listen & provide me with care that makes sense. They have taken very good care of me...I trust them. The staff, including Dr. P's wife, Michelle, Linda (who puts up with all my crazy requests), Jaci & everyone at Cornerstone are friendly, competent - & my kids love them!

This is my second year seeing Dr. George as a patient. I'm enjoying his concierge model and have even texted him while on the other side of the country for a concern I had. He immediately sent a prescription to the nearest pharmacy. It gives me much comfort to know he is only a text away 24/7. Dr. George is very caring and digs deep to find out what is going on in your body, not just treating the symptoms. He's willing to take a traditional medical approach or use homeopathic remedies.

Dr. Papanicolaou will not just “slap a pill on it.” He really listens, asks questions, and takes the time over a period of months to holistically diagnose a given condition. I have only ever had pills thrown at me for my mental health and fatigue issues. Dr. P is helping me improve my diet and recommending whole food supplements to naturally get me going in the right direction for a lifetime. He really knows his stuff and can explain complex physiological functions in everyday terms.

Dr. Papanicolaou has changed my outlook on health care providers. The time taken with me during each visit is not rushed, I feel secure in his thorough evaluation. He cares for his patients not only medically but spiritually and mentally as well. Considering all of life affects our bodies. I appreciate the staff and their level of care given to each patient.

I have been seen Dr. Papanicolaou for the past 20 years. I have had excellent care until he moved into the new facility in Rowley. He does take time with his patients, yet this leaves one waiting an extra 1/2 hour for the scheduled appointment. Now he does not see his patients unless you pay an absurd amount for specialized care. His assistants are great, the office staff makes you feel like an inconvenience and they do not take care if requests in a timely fashion.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Papanicolaou! I have been struggling for two years with serious health issues, and Dr. P is the first physician to actually spend the time and mental effort to hear my story, and start putting the pieces together. He is friendly, easy to talk to, straightforward and caring. He is wonderful with my boys (8 & 10), and spent 3 hours with me, during my 1 hour initial visit. He seems to truly care about his patients. I'm so happy we found him!

I do not have enough good things to say. After decades with another physician I had to find someone who could really take the time to dig deep and help me. The business model at this practice allows the time needed to get to the bottom of one's health issues and is a total body and mind approach to health. I could not be happier. It is a process and we are working through it. For the first time in years I have real Hope of getting well. Grateful is such an inadequate word!!

Dr George is one of the most dedicated doctors I've ever met. He is thorough and considerate. My family and I are very impressed.

I've already recommended him to my friends,many of whom now are patients.As old age has kept me busy with various issues Dr.G has been steadfast in keeping me positive and seeing that I make good decisions.to stay active and healthy

We need more doctors like Dr. George! He partners with you to develop a wellness plan that treats the root of the problem, not just the symptoms. He is willing to spend extended time with you to listen to your health concerns and systematically begins a treatment plan leading you to wellness. He believes in developing relationships with his patients. I highly recommend Dr. George as your PCP if you are searching for lasting wellness.

I always have a great experience at Cornerstone Family Practice. The girls at the front desk are fabulous. Cheerful, caring and very helpful, along with the medical assistance. I have seen both Dr. P and the Np's and of course I like to see Dr. P at all my visits but at times I get the Np's due to scheduling me in last minute and have always felt like I was in good hands and got my issue resolved. I always recommend Dr. P's office to anyone that asks for advice on a Family Practice in the area

On a late Sunday afternoon I had an accident on the golf course (hit by a golf club in the head) and my first response was to contact Dr. Papanicolaou to see if he recommended I rush to the emergency room. With the concierge services he provides, he said that instead I should come to his office and he would take care of it. This was Sunday evening at 7:30. I was home by 9:00 with my wound cleaned, 3 stitches and avoided the cost and wait of an emergency room. I found this hugely encouraging.

I’m a 74 y/o male. I have been a patient of Dr P for 8 years. My previous PCP was always in a hurry. I felt more like a payment than a patient. Dr P asks questions and listens. Having never had a colonoscopy at my age one was scheduled & performed. Eight polyps were found that would have turned cancerous within 5 yrs. I had blood in my urine. I was sent to an urologist & found to have high grade T-1 cancer. Due to early detection I’m now cancer free! I can’t say enough about my care from Dr P.

After 23 years of suffering with IBS, 3 years of Fibromyalgia I finally found a doctor who cared enough to find out what was causing the issues, not just diagnose me and make the symptoms.. His theory was my guy... he was right. After some testing he found the root of the problem and all I can say is THANK YOU Dr George, you care and concern for my Health has given me back my life !!!!

My care from Dr. P's office has been exceptional from start to finish. Appointments have been helpful and his care has be thorough. I highly recommend his practice! He is concerned not just with getting people well, but keeping people healthy.

I have known Dr Papanicolaou since he came to the Newburyport area. The first time I met him, he came in, jumped up on the sink, in casual clothes & says, "Betty", "so tell me about your issues." I have had a number of issues that he has helped me with or referred me to someone else. He listens to me & explains the whys & how to resolve a problem. I am now under his new program which is very new to me. It is very interesting to learn new ways to good health. I've recommended many to Geo.

My family trusts that Dr George will always make plenty of time to listen to their concerns and then craft a plan to get us back to wellness. The concierge medical model initially costs more, until you realize a phone call directly to Dr. George and a follow-up visit, saves you anywhere from $100.00- $500.00 in medical costs by avoiding unnecessary emergency care. The 1 hour appointments allow us to explore the root causes of our health concerns and address them with a comprehensive plan.

Dr.Papanicolaou takes the time to get to know you and your family helping him properly diagnose issues and the underlying root cause instead of simply treating the symptom. As the pressures mount at traditional practices to increase number of patient visits, Dr.P limits his patient base to be able to provide true quality care. Dr.P takes the time to listen to your symptoms and explore possible causes. In urgent situations, Dr. P is available by cell to quickly help you - even on weekends.

I have known Dr Papanicolaou for 10 years and have always had a great experience . He takes the time to research and diagnose your health care. Now that he has become a concierge Doctor, you have extensive service to focus on one's health care...... Any one looking for a personalized Doctor should consider Dr Papanicolaou... Ipswich, ma

My experience in Dr. George's office was on-time and comfortable. He put me at ease for a procedure and took time to listen to my concerns. It was a wonderful experience for me. I felt like his only patient.

I highly do not recommend this practice. He is incredibly rude and blames medical issues on weight, even if it runs in family and is hereditary. He also is changing 1400$ a year to see him and if you do not sign up for this program you will not be seen at an urgent manor. The disrespect he has given me over the years about being obese when in fact I am not has mad me instantly given him a bad reputation in anyone's eyes.

He's a good doc, and until 6 months ago I recommended several people, but now that he's gone to Boutique medicine, I honestly don't know anyone who can afford his fee including myself and my husband. Good thing he has a super RNP who now cares for my self and my husband. we are staying with practice as we understand she works under the guidance of Dr.P. We've always had great faith in him.
